This faq is meant to help answer common problems that people face when playing
the game.This faq is not meant to be an in depth guide, but rather a place
to find quick answers to common problems and to keep people on the boards sane.
This faq is my first work, so probably it is not done very professionally,
sorry about that.
WARNING: Expect spoilers when reading this faq, I might add spoiler warnings
later, but probably not.

0. How do I save???!!!!
This question is so important that it is assigned the number 0. See on the
main menu there is a option called LOAD SAVE. IT MEANS LOAD/SAVE. I can't
believe some people can't figure it out, but then again I guess it is a
rather stupid design oversight too.
1. How do I get Nikita Leonov, the crime boss, to join me?
"Mix him up", or aka, torture him in the mixing bowl, which is in the
mess hall counter, the more expensive one.
2. Where can I find all the the minions?
There are always two spots where you can get a specific minion, details below
Level 2 Minions:
Valet - Polynesia, Middle East
Guard - South America, Central Russia
Technician - Japan, Northern China
Level 3 Minions:
Mercenary - Mid-West, South America
Scientist - Central Russia, Central Russia
Spin Doctor - Europe, Mid-West
Level 4 Minions:
Marksman - Europe, Siberia
Martial Artist - Southeast Asia, West Coast
Biochemist - Europe, South America
Quantum Physicist - Europe, Mid-West
Playboy - Europe, West Coast
Diplomat - Middle East, Eastern Block
3. Why can't I find the minion?
There are usually three problems
One - You do not have the necessary notoriety to uncover the minion type,
just do aoi until you have a high enough notoriety
Two - You are not far enough into the game to get the minion type. You can
not get level 3 or 4 minions until you are at objective 3.
Three - You need to plot to get the minion, with a science minion preferably.
Sometimes they do pop up without you plotting, but if the above two isn't your
problem then this is it.
4. Where are all the totem pieces located?
In sequential order: West Coast, Polynesia, Central Russia, Middle East.
5. Where are all the uber loots located?
There are six in total -
Mini Eiffel Tower: Europe
Excalibur: Europe
Sarcophagus: Middle East
Ark of the Covenant: Central Russia
Million Dollar Bill: East Coast
Samurai Armor: North China
6. Why won't my totem pieces assemble?
Either you didn't put them near each other or you didn't assemble the pieces on
the 1st island. If you are on 2nd island and you didn't assemble the totem then
you are screwed. Some people can't assemble it on the 1st island. I think it's
a bug, hopefully it'll get fixed soon.
7. Where can I find all the doomsday data?
You start out with 3, there are 3 that are carried by agents that get
continously sent into your island after you get the objective, the other 3 are
located in Cuba, North Africa, and Australia. You must capture and torture the
agents that carry the data in order to get it. You can tell which groups carry
data by clicking the group, they will have one more symbol that is below the
usual fraction symbol. The symbols correspons to which piece of the data they
carry. If you just kill the agents then they'll just keep coming until you get
the data. Some people don't know this and get overwhelmed with body bags.
8. Why are there waves of agents that come to my island even though I have no
heat?
See above.
Or else you didn't let the agents steal the fake research machine, but you
should be able to figure that out by reading the objectives screen.
9. Why do the henchmen increase the time for aoi instead of decreasing them?
Bug, to fix it simply change the henchman stats file in
dynamic resources/balancing spreadsheets folder. Just make every number under
AOITimeModifier negative.
10. I just research the freak ability, what is it?
It's weird how the freak ability have no glossary information about it. To
use it just toss a body into the chemical vats. It will create the lumbering
freaks that you will come to love as super agents take turns in destroying
your base.
11. Why can't I build a particular research machine?
You didn't get all 9 doomsday weapon data. You only need 8 of 9 to move on,
but to get everything you need 9.(or so I've heard, never experienced it myself
since I always get everything)
12. How can I kill the super agents?
You can't on the 1st island, you'll be able to take on optional obectives on
the 2nd island to off the super agents. I don't know how to kill every agent
yet, so I'll hold off on providing info for now.
13. Why are my minions panicking?/Why are agents coming through the floor?
You have a section of your base block off, meaning no foot traffic can get
there. The minions trapped in there will start panicking and agents will
come out through the floor and they WILL destroy the blocking objects. Easiest
way to tell if when the agent's description says s/he's clearing a path.
14. Help! My evil genius dies upon loading!!!
Obiously a bug. Turn off auto-save, apparently it causes this. I haven't
experience it, I just heard it happens.
15. What's the difference between the evil geniuses?
Max - faster research, medium circle of influence, comes with Jubei as henchman
Alexis - minions lose loyalty slower, gain them faster(I think), large circle
of influence, comes with Eli as henchman.
Shen Yu - Lose heat faster, gain less heat(I think), have a delay between
increased heat and when agents start arriving, small circle of influence,
comes with Lord Kane.
16. Where's all my money on the 2nd island?
You probably got a funds freezed message. It means you don't have any room for
the money. Just build an new stronghold, and you get your money back.
