II. WHAT IS JEET KUNE DO?
= = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Here's a little bit of information about Jeet Kune Do which is Jann
Lee's fighting style. I got this information from the Dead Or Alive
2 Hardcore Manual.

Jeet Kune Do is the fighting style developed by the greatest
martial arts master. The advantages of other martial arts have been
incorporated creating the concept behind Jeet Kune Do, which is
"freedom".
This unique style, which involves entering battle in a free-
form concept that is not governed by any rigidly prescribed form,
was born only because Bruce Lee did not just stop at becoming a
great martial arts user but possessed the open perspective of a
performer, as well.

V. TIME ATTACK TIPS
= = = = = = = = = = =

Always knock down your enemies and never let them stand for so long. It's
best to use to (refer to Move List's legend): <,LL,D,LR,>+K which is the flying
kick. No one can block it so your opponent will be down on the ground. Once Jann
Lee lands on the ground, rush to your opponent and kick him by pressing D+K.
This will make you beat your enemies quickly. If your opponent is the kind of
opponent who insists on jumping hit them right to the face. Press UR+K,K.

= = = = = = = = = = = = =
VI. SURVIVAL MODE TIPS
= = = = = = = = = = = = =

To survive in the survival mode, you should be merciless. Kill all your
enemies before they kill you. Hit them with strong attacks. It's better to do
this (refer to Move List's legend): <,LL,D,LR,>+K This is a flying kick. You
will be able to kill anyone with it easily because once Jann Lee flies, no one
can block it. But you better start in a distance. It you start the Flying Kick
near your opponent, your opponent might be the first one to attack. The best way
to survive is wait for your opponents to attack and counter attack them. Take a
look at the Move List to learn on how to counter attack your enemies. Take a
look at the Holds menu.

VII. TAG TEAM TIPS
= = = = = = = = = = =

Team up with anyone, Lei fang or Ein. Actually, I usually use Ein and
Jann Lee because they almost have the same controls only that they're not really
partners. When one of of your character's life is low, stop fighting. Do not use
R1 or R2 to change. Use this: >,>,F+P+K and you'll change your character by
using this partner attack. To make it easier for you, use this instead: >,>,R1
because R1 is the button for F+P+K. Instead of pushing all those three buttons
at the same time, take the shorter one so your character wont get hit.

VIII. TIPS ON HOW TO TAKE DOWN YOUR ENEMIES
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

There are tips are based on opponents with high levels only.
Be sure to know the level of your opponent or your character is dead meat.
Most of these characters blocks your attacks so attack the right time.
Here are tips on how to use Jann Lee on these characters.

KASUMI – This is a very terrible opponent. It's better for you to go very
far at the beginning of the game. Never let her attack you and
make you air borne because you can't move and counter attack while
in the air. Watch out for her kicks and punches because they are
very quick. Never go very close because she'll throw you. This one
is very good in counter attacking and throwing. Just try attacking
and counter attack on the right time or knock her down all the time
and never let her stand up for so long. Use the Leg Sweep. Hit her
at once when she jumps.

RYU HAYABUSA – Beware of his throws. If he throws you up and holds you, the
damage will be very tremendous. You can go near him but not
too near. Don't be afraid to attack him. Just don not let him
grab and throw you. Also, go far when he is to standing up
because he'll do a low kick to knock you down. Last, Hayabusa
is good at counter attacking.

GEN FU – This old man counter attacks. Even if Gen Fu is a Kung Fu or I must
say Xinyi Liuhe Quan master, he is not that hard. Beware of the bald
head. He uses it to knock down enemies sometimes. Also, do not get
caught in his attacks because most of his attacks are chain attacks.
What I mean chain attacks is his attacks are continuous and it will
Be hard for you to get out of it. Still, you can counter attack it.

HELENA – She is the most annoying counter attacker and that nasty foot of
hers. She usually attacks you with the hands first and a low kick
that will stop you moving for a while. Wait for her attacks and that
will be the time for you to give her a taste of her own medicine.
You know, counter attacks. You might as well throw her and silence
her to the ground. Use Jann Lee's Leg Sweep.

TINA ARMSTRONG – If Helena is the most annoying counter attacker, Tina . . .
is the winner of Survivor! Joke only. Tina will be the most
annoying thrower. She is a wrestler so it's a common thing.
She is also the most annoying blocker because she blocks
Most of your attacks. Try attacking here from a distance.
Don't get too near this annoying character.

BASS ARMSTRONG – He is Tina's father so he is also a thrower. He's a little
bit annoying. Not as annoying as Tina! His common attack is
that very big foot. It's so annoying. He's not very hard and
difficult to fight like the others but some of his attacks
have tremendous damage. Use the flying attack because Bass
is huge and easy to get hit with the flying attack.

ZACK – What is my title to him? The most annoying kicker! He should have just
entered the football and soccer teams. But anyway, beware of his kicks
because these kicks are so fast and hard to get out of. It's better to
attack him first and when he catches you with these "kicks", counter
attack at the right time.

LEON – Leon is the most annoying damager and cast speller. Know why? Because
he will crush your character's bones and right after the battle, your
character might need a cast on the bones. Leon also is a good counter
attacker. Use unblockable attacks and the flying kick. I try to attack
this guy even though the life is already less.

LEI FANG – Better get prepared in the story mode. When you battle Lei Fang,
seldomly use Jann Lee's flying kicks because Lei Fang is always
ducking. Wait for her attacks and counter her. Oftenly use throws,
holds, distant attacks, strong attacks, and the Leg Sweep.

AYANE – She is another quick one. But she is easier than Lei Fang and Kasumi.
Attack her, throw her, or counter attack her. Just beware of the fast
And quick attacks.

EIN – Attack Ein. Just do things ahead of him. He is also good at counter
attacking. Do not attack so much. The best way is to use the Leg Sweep
and the flying kick.

TENGU – The strongest work of Gepetto...Pinocchio! Joke. It is because of his
long nose. Did he lie to someone? Anyway, He is also good in counter
attacking. Don't go very far from him because he'll do this thing
where he stomps on the ground and makes a strong wind or something.
But when he does, do the flying kick before he releases this wind.
You can also use this when he jumps: UR+K,K and he wont be able to
continue his attempted attack.

IX. MORE TIPS
= = = = = = = = =

"Tip 1: Use of Jann Lee's Flying Kick or whatever it is called"
Only use the Flying Kick when your opponent is up high. Never use it
when your opponent is ducking because you will not be able to him him/her. But
sometimes, you can hit someone ducking if you are exact. If you hit your
opponent while landing on the ground, you might get lucky. But its better not to
do so try to stick to my tip, only use the Flying Kick when your enemies are not
ducking.

"Tip 2: What is the best way to create a large damage?"
Well, its better if you try to throw your opponent of the roof, or off
the edge of high places. You can also use the flying kick, or use L2 against
your opponent when he/she is near the wall especially in the Danger Zone stage.
If you like to add damage while your opponent is on the floor, do so. Press D+K.

"Tip 3: Evading Throws"
Actually, this technique will work for anyone in the game. But let's
just concentrate on Jann Lee. When your opponent holds you, press X at once and
Jann Lee will escape from that throw.

"Tip 4: What's the best way to win?"
Use all of Jann Lee's strongest, most distant attacks, and those that
will make your opponent stop and air borne. Use any of the following buttons
(please refer to the move list's legend): 1) UR+K,K 2) L2 3) C1+K (perform
in a distant place) 4) C1+P 5) D+K,K 6) P+P+P 7) any button you prefer.
Actually, this is my style of using Jann Lee. You can win if you do the
strongest attacks but easiest to do. Don't get too obsessed using unique attacks
because some needs quickness for the attacks with high number of buttons to
press.
