PART 0 Introduction
Well, the next expansion pack of NWN is in my hands. "It is done when it is
done" - yes, it is done. Bioware and Atari continue to impress us with another
their work. So in this walkthrough Part 1 explains what's new in expansion
pack and my opinion about this changes. Part 2 contains general information and
strategy. The walkthrough is already in Part 3. I've played in D&D Hardcore
rules difficulty mode as before. And I repeat again: read the game manual for
more information.

***************************************************************

PART 1 WHAT'S NEW

1) classes
There are 6 new prestige classes in NWN HoU. There is also one very
IMPORTANT addition for all classes - EPIC CLASSES!!!!. YES, now after level 21
character normal class (or level 11 prestige class) the character class is an
epic class with more opportunities in future. This is good news for multiplayer
characters (i'm not a fan of multiplayer but the fans will appreciate it) who
can feel the full power of epic classes (level 40 max). For more info about
epic classes see game manual. Here are new prestige classes.

***************************************************************
1. Champion of Torn
Hit Dice: d10
Proficiencies: all simple and martial weapons, light and medium armor
and shields
Skill points: 2+INT (intelligence) modifier
REQUIREMENTS: BAB (base attack bonus) +7 or higher, weapon focus in
melee weapon, non-evil alignment
Abilities: see manual
My opinion: Champion of Torn is some kind of fighter/paladin. Good
multiclassing option for paladin. Bonus feats are a big plus or for example
chaotic good fighter can gain some paladin abilities with this class.

Class skills: Discipline, Heal, Lore, Parry, Spot, Craft Trap, Craft Weapon,
Craft Armor
BAB per level: same as fighter classes (high)
Primary saving throws: fortitude and reflex

*************************************************************
2. Dwarven Defender
Hit Dice: d12 (!)
Proficiencies: simple and martial weapons, all armor and shields
Skill points: 2+INT modifier
REQUIREMENTS: lawful alignment, dwarf race, BAB +7 or higher, feats:
dodge and toughness
Abilities: see game manual
My opinion: Well, hit dice like barbarian. Some kind of lawful
barbarian (he-he) with damage reduction. Powerful tank if combined with fighter
feats.

Class skills: Discipline, Heal, Lore, Listen, Spot, Craft Trap, Craft Weapon,
Craft Armor
BAB per level: same as fighter classes
Primary saving throws: fortitude and will

***************************************************************
3. Pale master
Hit Dice: d6
Proficiencies: no additional
Skill points: 2+INT modifier
REQUIREMENTS: non-good alignment, arcane spellcasting level 3 or
higher
Abilities: see game manual
My opinion: Well, very interesting class. Immunity to critical
hits at level 10 is a very big plus. Very useful immunities. Try to experiment.

Class skills: Concentration, Spellcraft, Heal, Hide, Listen, Lore, Move
silently, Persuade, Craft Trap, Craft Weapon, Craft Armor
BAB per level: same as wizard and sorcerer (low)
Primary saving throws: fortitude and will

***************************************************************
4. Red Dragon Discipline
Hit Dice: special (increases from levels from d6 to d12 (epic
levels))
Proficiencies: no additional
Skill points: 2+INT modifier
REQUIREMENTS: sorcerer or bard, Lore (8)
Abilities: see game manual
My opinion: Wow, very powerful class.

Class skills: Concentration, Discipline, Heal, Listen, Lore, Parry,
Persuade, Spellcraft, Spot, Craft Trap, Craft Weapon, Craft Armor
BAB per level: same as rogue
Primary saving throws: fortitude and will

***************************************************************
5. Shifter
Hit Dice: d8
Proficiences: no additional
Skill points: 4+INT modifier
REQUIREMENTS: druid with level 3 spells or higher, feats:
alertness,
Abilities: see game manual
My opinion: Another interesting class. Try to experiment.

Class skills: Animal Empathy, Concentration, Heal, Hide, Listen, Lore,
Persuade, Spot, Craft Trap, Craft Weapon, Craft Armor
BAB per level: same as rogue
Primary saving throws: fortitude and reflex

**************************************************************

6. Weapon Master
Hit Dice: d10
Proficiencies: no additional
Skill points: 2+INT modifier
REQUIREMENTS: BAB +5 or higher, feats: Weapon focus in melee weapon,
Dodge, Mobility, Expertise, Spring attack, Whirlwind. Skills: Intimidate (4).
Abilities: see game manual
My opinion: Very strong requirements (INT and DEX 13 for all feats).
Very powerful fighter. Imagine: Weapon of Choise: Great swords + Keen feat + Ki
Critical = 15-20 threat range = 30 % critical hit chance and x3 critical
damage. Or with scythe weapon = 17-20 threat range = 20% critical hit chance
and superior x5 critical damage (!!!!).

Class skills: Discipline, Heal, Listen, Lore, Spot, Intimidate
BAB per level: same as fighter
Primary saving throws: reflex

***************************************************************

2) skills

Well, some new skills has been added to NWN HoU game. For more info see game
manual but there is only my opinion.

1. Bluff
2. Intimidate
3. Craft Weapon
4. Craft Armor

**************************************************************
3) feats
There are a lot of new feats. For more see manual.

***************************************************************
4) my character

name: Orest
gender: Male
race: human
class:sorcerer(1), rogue(4), dragon discipline (10)
alignment: lawful neutral
abilities
STR 14
DEX 14
CON 14
WIS 10
INT 14
CHA 12

My henchman was Deekin (as a dragon discipline in future) in chapters 1,2 and
Deekin with Aribeth in chapter 3.

***************************************************************

5) others

There are also some other changes.

One of the major changes is the ability to craft items (weapon, armor, wands).
You'll need a recipe and materials, some of the recipes are in the game manual.

Your henchman is more talkative and flexible. Watch his inventory to upgrade
his ammunition. You can also control his spellcasting.

The max level for your character is level 40. This is good for multiplayer.
I've managed to reach level 27 in expansion pack campaign.

There are less secondary quests then in previous NWN OC and SoU. So almost
every quest crosses main quest.

There are a lot of new items for prestige and nonprestige classes.

***************************************************************

PART 2 GENERAL INFORMATION AND STRATEGY

Increase your AC as high as possible (more then 30). My character had AC more
then 50.

How to increase AC: DEX bonus (WIS for the monk), armor (light for high DEX
characters and heavy or medium for low-medium-DEX characters), shield AC
bonuses, amulets (natural armor class bonus), deflection AC bonuses (braces,
watch for other items with deflection AC bonuses - they doesn't stack), rings
of protection, tumble skill (every 5 points will add 1 AC), feats such as dodge
or armor skin, cloaks with AC bonuses, prestige classes abilities such as pale
master or dragon discipline and so on.

The Relic of the Reaper tip: Before traveling to the Underdark use the relic
of the reaper to see how it works. It is very useful in chapters 1,2. You'll
need rogue stones for using markings.

Watch for developers hints on the loading screen

The more henchmans you have the less XP you'll get, so one henchman I think is
a good choice.

***************************************************************
CHAPTER 1
***************************************************************

1. Waterdeep

You'll appear in a small room. Level up your character until levels 12-15 and
rest.
Watch the cutscene with Valsharess and drows and you'll be attacked by thief.
Kill him and talk to Tamsil the innkeeper's daughter. Then go to the armory for
some equipment and exit this area. In the next area you'll encounter a lot of
people. There are also old henchmans from NWN OC: Daelan, Sharwyn, Linu, Tomi.
Talk to some people to know more about situation and go to the next door. Speak
with Durnan and fight some enemies who attacked the inn. After fight go to well
room and fight soldiers then watch another cutscene. Talk to Durnan and then
talk to white Theste (she will give you ressurection rod). You can take Deekin
with you as a henchman.

main quest: Descent into Undermountain
You'll need to enter the Undermountain to explore the situation here. The
Undermountain is some kind of maze which was created by powerful mad wizard
Halaster. But before going to the well I'll recommend you to explore Waterdeep.
There is a smith and magic shop here. You can use the telescop in the magic
shop to see the battle. Supply yourself with necessary things and go to the
well. It will be good to have some item with True Seening spell because there
are a lot of secret doors in the dungeon.
Well
There is a goblin Grovel here. He is harmless and you can help him. There is
also a skeleton warrior here, kill him and enter the Undermountain.

***************************************************************
2. Undermountain: Level 1

Undermountain: Level 1 Central
There is a Sharwyn's corpse near entrance. Ressurect her to learn more about
what happened here. Now its time to explore this dungeon. I will not describe
this exploration deeply so I touch only important moments. There is a sealed
entrance to level 2 dungeon. Watch for 4 levers near sealed bridge with magical
pillars. You'll need some magical rods in order to activate this levers and
desactivate the seal pillars. You can find this rods in the different places on
level 1 dungeon, just search the chests, corpses and etc. Each magical rod has
color and can disable the pillar with same color. There is also an alternative
way to enter the level 2 dungeon (see level 1 north).
There is a dragon to the south-east. Kill the dragon and take treasures and
good exp.
You can find Daelan's corpse to the north in the hall with mirrors. Ressurect
Daelan and speak with him. You can watch in the mirrors to take some treasures,
one mirror will summon your twin so beware.
The Hall of Sleeping kings is to the north. One skeleton has intelligent
longsword called Enseric. You can free Enseric from skeleton but prepare for
some fight with undead kings. They are tougher but have useful things. After
fight equip Enseric the longsword and choose the option talk to item in
inventory. Enseric will tell you more about himself. One of the skeletons has
the key so take it.
There are also some portals which teleport you to the other parts of dungeon.

Undermountain: Level 1 South
This dungeon is ruled by Fairy Sorceress. There is also a puzzle with 3
statues and summoned skeletons. You need to touch the statues until all three
statues will face the locked door. You can see your success when the statue
will produce elecric bolt to the door. You need three electric bolts from three
statues in order to destroy the door. So don't fight skeletons and concentrate
on turning statues and do it very quickly.
Find and fight fairy sorceress until she surrender. Talk to her to learn more
about Halaster and dungeon then leave or kill her.
Watch for rods in this parts of dungeon. There are also some secret doors and
explosive barrel with alchemist's explosive (can be used to unlock the blocked
passage to level 2).

Undermountain: Level 1 North
There is a maze with traps. Try to disable the traps by activating the levers
on the other side of maze.
To the south you can find the secret door which leads to Vanishing treasure.
Use your henchman to collect the treasure (command him to stand here while he
stands on platform). There are a lot of secret doors here.
Find and fight the Ogre mage until he surrender. Talk to him. He will tell you
about the sealed passage to level 2 dungeon. You'll need some kind of explosive
in order to destroy the seal near door to the level 2 (alternative way to level
2 dungeon).
Search for other magical rods here.

Undermountain: Level 1 central
Now its time to enter level 2 dungeon. Operate the levers with magical rods in
order to disable the pillars (you don't need to disable all pillars just create
the passage through the bridge). If nothing happens while using level then try
another rod with lever. Now enter the level 2.

***************************************************************
2. Undermountain: Level 2
Undermountain: Level 2 Central
Watch the cutscene. Open the door and kill the enemies. Search the corpse of
fleeing goblin for key and yellow chain (1/4).
There is another puzzle with the locked door, altar and four chains. You
should find all four chains: yellow chain, red chain, purple chain and green
chain.

Undermountain: Level 2 North
There are a lot of goblins and traps here. Find and fight Argo Blacktooth
here. Take the purple chain (2/4) from his corpse. Pull all levers.

Undermountain: Level 2 East
There are a lot of rakshass here. Fight them and talk to Shareesh in the
portal room. He needs djinn's bottle. Use the True Seening spell and you will
see that Shareesh and his people are rakshass in disguise. Kill them all and
take the red chain (3/4) from Shareesh's corpse.
There is also a sarcophagus in the next room. Touch it and ressurect Linu.

Undermountain: Level 2 South
Find Tomi's corpse and ressurect him. Kill drow commander and take the green
chain (4/4) from his corpse. There is also djinni bottle in the chest. Activate
this bottle in your inventory to summon djinn. Talk to djinn and he will give
you activation stone. You can activate the portal (level 2 east) to Waterdeep.
Djinn can also sell you some magical items. You can use djinn's bottle 3 times
per chapter.

Undermountain: Level 2 Central (revisited)
Pool puzzle
Attach the chains (purple, red, yellow, green) to the columns with same color.
If all is right then the poll will shine. Now you need to activate six chains
in proper order. Every unsuccessful attempt will summon some enemy. If there is
a message that nothing happened than try to touch the pool to see color
sequence and try again. I don't know if the combination is random but I was
successful at red, green, red, red, yellow, purple.
The door will open and talk Berger. He is Halaster's creature and tell you
more. It seems that Halaster was imprisoned by drows. Enter level 3.

**********************************************************
3. Undermountain: Level 3
Undermountain: Level 3 Central
You will encounter Nathyrra here. She will tell you about Formian Queen. Go
south-west and free the Queen from enemies (pull the lever to free her).
The exit is to the north-east.

Undermountain: Level 3 North
Speak to Nathyrra again. She will tell you about north underground secret
tunnel. Go north and enter the secret passage (rocks). Now you can use ballista
to kill enemies. The exit is to the south-west but before search for treasures
in the chests.

Undermountain: Level 3 West
Now Nathyrra will join your side temporary (she is lawful evil
wizard/rogue/assasin). Prepare for hard battle and open the door to watch
another cutscene. Now its time to free Halaster. If you want to have more XP
then kill the enemies first. The best way to end this battle is to destroy
three stones which hold Halaster.
Now talk to Halaster. Well, you will learn more and soon be transported to the
Temple of Lolth. Damn, Halaster.

**********************************************************
CHAPTER 2
**********************************************************

1. City Core and Port
Temple of Lolth
Talk to Seer, Valen and Nathyrra.
main quest: Defeating Valsharess
other main quests: Golems on an island, A strange island town, Beholders
allied with Valsharess, Undead army allied with Valsharess, Illithid allied
with Valsharess.
You can use Valen or Nathyrra as henchmans.

City Core and Port
locations: north-east: docks (there is a boatman Cavallar who can take you to
strange island or isle of maker)
south-east: training grounds
south-west: gates Lith My'athar Environs, Maevir public house
centre: Temple of Lolth, Lith My'athar public house, merchants
north-west: house Maevir, the Ale gardens, training grounds
north: armory anf forge (there is a Rizolvir smith here who can add some
magical properties to your weapons (such as Haste or Enchancement))

secondary quest: A daughter's Ambition
speak to Zesyyr Maevir in the Maevir public house. Agree to help her to kill
her mother. Take her signet ring. Go to the maevir house and talk to the guard.
Show him signet ring. Now you are inside house, speak with Nyrune. You can tell
her about her daughter (more evil) or kill her and her guards. Soon the
cutscene will appear and you will be rewarded.

***************************************************************
2. A Strange Island Town

Go to the docks and travel to the strange island.

Shaori's Fell
locations: south-east: cave with winged elves leader Shaori
north-east: wizard's tower
east: library
centre: encampment
north-west: castle
west: temple

At first, you will be attacked by some drows and their leader Sabal. She can't
be killed now, so beat her and travel to the north. Talk to Skaa who will
suggest to go to the cave and talk to Shaori.
Go to the cave and talk to Shaori. Then go to the Castle and fight some
creatures here. Go to the Throne room and find fool. The fool is not a fool .
He will tell you about five pieces of mirror which you need to find.
5 pieces of mirror:
1. The merchant. Talk to the merchant in the camp. He will tell you that his
piece of mirror was hidden somewhere in the town. Use persuasion skills to
obtain compass from him. You can find this piece of mirror near the library
entrance (more east), just use compass there to show garbage with mirror.
2. Wizard's tower. Talk to Fetyr near wizard's tower. Then enter tower. Clear
the tower from enemies. There are three levels in the tower. There are also
some grey and death slaads here so be careful. Find Jansil on the level 3 and
fight him until he surrender. Take the mirror shard from him and decide his
fate (leave him or kill).
3. The Library. Go to the library. Talk to Ulithar to know more about his wife
Quathais. If you don't want to fight medusas then go to the south room and find
the potion of Sight warding. Drink it and talk to Quathais. Receive another
mirror shard and get out of here.
4. The temple. Go to the temple and speak Lomylithrar. He suggests you to play
some kind of sadistic game. You can agree or kill Lomylithrar. If you agree
then you will be deseased. There are five challenges so if you are ready then
pull one of the three chains (troll is more tougher then others). I recommend
you to use some restoration potions to minimize desease effects. Summoning
spells (scrolls) are very useful. After 5 battles Lomylithrar will give you
mirror shard and cure potion (drink it).
5. Go to the castle (you must have four mirrors). Battle with Sabal. Speak to
fool and prepare to tough battle. You can use mirror shards on pillars to make
the battle more easy. Kill Sabal and take the last piece.
Now the mirror artifact is constructed and you can use it against Valsharess
(it has another using). Talk to Shaori and get out from this area back to the
ship.

**************************************************************

3. The Isle of the Maker

Now its time to travel to the Isle of the Maker

There are dwarves here. Speak to Dahanna to learn more. Now enter the dungeon.
Upper Ruins
There are a lot of golems here. You can find short sword Unmaker on the corpse
near entrance (very useful for rogue against constructs). There is a scavenger
golem in this area who can ressurect golems so I recommend you to kill golems
in the rooms not in the corridor. You can create three useful items against
golems. You need to find alchemist apparatus and all necessary ingredients
(search for ingredients in this area). Just put them on alchemist table.
recipes:
magic crystal + blue powder + yellow powder = golem attractor (attracts
golems, not so useful)
mithral statue + blue powder + blue powder = golem crasher (very useful, don't
waste this power on weak golems, use it on tough golems such as golem guardian)
golden rod + blue powder + yellow powder = golem binder (slows golems, not so
bad)
There is a tough weapon spirit in the north room (beware his disarm skill).
There is a big trap with statue in one of the rooms, just use the lever to
disarm trap and take the helm and armor.

Control room puzzle:
This puzzle is secondary. The key is the book Arcane Lexicon and the voice
who tells "Sinth thest". The right number is 54. Activate this number and touch
the control device. Now the scavenger golem will be destroyed and more XP.
There is a tough guardian golem near north-west exit (use golem binder and
golem crasher to weak him). Enter lower ruins.

Lower ruins
Watch the cutscene and fight enemies. There are two golem camps here. Ferron
camp to the south and Aghaaz camp to the north. You can agree to help one of
them. Ferron is good and Aghaaz is evil. Ferron need power source. You can find
power source in the north-east area but you should kill Aghaaz. Then talk to
Ferron and he will agree to help you in your fight with Valsharess. Now you can
return to surface or go down to Maker's Sanctum.

The Maker's Sanctum
You don't need to be there but there are some good treasures here. There is
also a trap here. The key is quickness. You should shoot all four mirrors with
some ranged weapon (bow, crossbow or sling). If the mirror will shine after
shooting then you are doing right. After shooting four mirrors the trap will
dissappear.
Go south. Talk to keeeper and fight two tough mithril golems. Take golem seals
from their corpses. Place this seals into pedestals and open the gates to
maker's study.
Speak with Maker (skull lich). Prepare for TOUGH battle. The maker has a very
strong spell resistance, damage resistance and a lot of other bonuses. Spell
mantle spell or scrolls are very useful against him. My character was level 20
and this battle was very DIFFICULT for me. I've used spell mantle, haste,
stonskin, bless, improved invisibility and other different bonuses. Heal
potions are very useful here. I've used Enseric the sword (enchanced with a lot
of bonuses) against Maker. The Maker has a high AC, attack and damage. My AC
was 46 but this doesn't helped me to avoid all his attacks. If you managed to
kill him (congratulations!!! (without cheats)) then search his body for golem
machine activator. Use it on golem machine to unlock it. There is a controlling
amulet here. You can use this machine to construct golem (machine and four
pillars). I don't know how to do it so every information will be appreciated.
Then search for treasures and enter the portal.

Speak with Dahanna and bluff/intimidate/persuade or fight dwarves. Now return
back to the ship.

***********************************************************
4. Undead allied with Valsharess

Go to the west part of Lith My'athar
locations: north tunnels (illithid)
south tunnels (undead)
west tunnels (beholders)

Enter south tunnels.
Drearing's Deep
There is a dwarf Cordigan here. He will tell you about local people and some
kind of temple here. There is a gong to the north. Ring the gong and watch the
cutscene. Now its time to storm the castle. Assault the front door (bash it) to
enter the temple.
Temple: Level 1
There are some cult knights here. The door downside is locked so go upside.
Temple: Level 2
There is an altar here. I don't know what to do with this altar.

Note (by Richard Gaddy): I know what the altar in the temple of undead on
the second floor is for. You need to look around for a
black pearl. There are two of them. Equip your main
weapon (i think it has to be melee) and click on the
altar and use the black pearl and your weapon will be
permanently enchanted with drain strength or something
like that. (thanks to Richard Gaddy)

Temple: Level 3
Find and fight Sodalis. Take the key from his remains. Now you can unlock the
door to the crypt (temple: level 1).
Crypt
Take the rope from the chest and use it on pit. Go to the pit.
Inner Sanctum
There is a monk here who will speak with you. Fight and kill him. Take the
energy orb from monk's corpse. To kill the vampires in the sarcophagus you
should use the wooden stakes (just bash the wooden chests to collect it).
In the central hall you'll see the electrical pedestals and three locked doors
(east, west and north). Go to the western pedestal and put the energy orb to
the pedestal. The western door will be destroyed. Take the orb back from
pedestal and go west.
There are some undead and vampire monks here. Kill them all and take another
energy orb from the one of the enemies here.
Now return to hall and put two energy ord to the two eastern pedestals. The
eastern door will be destroyed. Take the orbs back and go east.
There is a captured Lavoera and some shadow masters here. Talk to Lavoera. Now
go north-east and kill enemies here. Find the nullifier rod and the third
energy orbs in one of the chests. There are also some drows here with
Valsharess's letter. Now return to Lavoera and use nullifier rod on magic
device to free Lavoera.
Now return to the central hall and put three orbs to the last three north
pedestals to destroy the last door. Go north and fight Sodalis. Beware his
spells. Kill him and enter the north exit.
The Hell of the Sacred One
Watch cutscene. Don't attack the dragon Vixthra because if you kill him then
he will be ressurected soon. Run to the north part of the cave and destroy the
phylactery (bash it). Now you can fight Vixthra. Kill the dragon and he will
die forever. Take his treasures and return to surface.

***********************************************************
5. Beholders allied with Valsharess
Return to the west of Lyth My'athar.
Bridge puzzle.
Read the puzzle and watch the picture in dialog option. This picture is
something like this:

****************** *
* | * (first row)
* | * (second row)
* | * (third row)
* |* (fourth row)
****************** *

You should do something like this by operating the buttons (rows to the left or
right):

****************** *
* | *
* | *
* | *
* | *
****************** *
Then activate the last button to activate the bridge and enter the west cave.
Chasm of the Eye Tyrants
Eldath Ra'sin will appear. Kill him and enter north-west cave.

Beholder Caves
Fight beholders here. There are some kobold slaves here. Find Kobold's leader
Attiz and talk to him. He will tell you about the cave and beholder's tyrant.
There are aslo some drow emmisary in the north-east room. There is a hole to
the north and in the central part you will find Beholder's tyrant with a lot of
beholder. Kill tyrant and now you can enter the hole (use stone slab from the
chest near hole).
Lower tunnels
BEWARE, the magic is nothing here. This mean ALL magic (items, effects,
spells, potions etc). Fight some spiders and rest to restore health. There is a
secret door (near locked door) which leads to obelisk.
Obelisk puzzle
The solution for this puzzle:
A
A
A
A
D D D D O B B B B
C
C
C
C
where O - obelisk
A - first symbol
B - second symbol
C - third symbol
D - fourth symbol

After solving this puzzle the obelisk will be disabled and you can use the
magic. Take the obelisk's core. So its time to kill Bebilith monster here.
After clearing this cave return to surface.

***************************************************************
6. Illithid allied with Valsharess

Now enter the north tunnels .
Entrance Cavern
There is a quite village and entrance to Inner ring. Speak to Duergar raider
and fight dwarves. Take the helm of shielding from raider's corpse and wear it.
Then enter inner ring without violence.
Zorvak Mur
locations:
centre: merchants and poison palace
north: Illithid chambers
south: fighting pits
east: slave auction
south-east: portal
north-east: slave pens

There are some fights between thralls on the fighting pits. You can watch
them. Go to the auction and buy female thrall (3000 gold). Now you can free her
(order her to go to the rebel camp). You can fight some enemies in the slave
pens ot Illithid chambers.
Now, if you are done there then go south-east and talk to venerator. Agree to
take off the helm and move to central pod (portal).
Grand Hall
Talk to elder brain. If you have the mirror artifact (from strange island
mission) then give the mirror to brain and now the alliance between Illithid
and Valsharess is history. Return to Seer.

***************************************************************
7. Big Battle with Valsharess's army
Once you'll reach rebel's camp there will be cutscene about the future battle.
You'll appear with your allies in the fortress location.
You have some time to prepare to battle so command your allies to take a
position for battle. Then wait some time until cutscene and prepare for big
fight. Then fight, fight, fight until the enemy will flee .
Watch another cutscene. You'll appear near the temple of Lolth. The enemies
are going from the docks side. Fight them until another cutscene.
Now you will appear in the throne room with Valsharess herself and the demon
who will help you to destroy Valsharess's allies. This is battle face to face.
She is very tough and heals herself, so attack her more aggressively (spell
mantle spell is useful here) and use heal potions in critical situation. When
she dies the demon will be released and he will kill you and you'll appear in
the Realm of the Reaper.

CHAPTER 3
***************************************************************

1. The City of the Lost Souls

Watch the cutscene and speak to reaper. Now you are dead and can't return to
real world. The Reaper wants to help you but you
should know his real name in order to return to Waterdeep.
Ressurect your henchman and enter the city of lost souls.
Main quest: Escape from the Hells

The City of the Lost Souls
locations:
north-east: gatehouse
east: quarry office, carved post: "treason"
south-east: carved post: "alternate"
south-west: Hellbreath tavern, carved post: "coordinate"
centre: carved post: "dimension", crystal
north-west: carved post: "infinity", Temple
north: Cave, carved post: Elysium

Now talk to worried spirit about situation here and take some additional
quests: A spirit devoured, A loat leader, scrivener. If you dont't have some
cold resistance then your health will be damaged here so watch caarefully.
Explore this area and speak to spirits to know more.
Quarry office
Talk to Gru'ul and receive his quest: The devil's quarry. Then go to ice
quarry and find Quarry grinder 5 here. Talk to the lazy quarry imp and use your
DEX to free him (or no). Then touch grinder and use INT to repair it. Then
return to Gru'ul and now you can trade with him.
After speaking to some people you will learn about Sleeping man and Scrivener.
Now go to the cave entrance and speak to Scrivener. He will tell you some
puzzle about carved posts. You'll need to go to the following posts: Treason,
Dimension and Infinity (After success Scrivener will appear and tell you about
your success). So the entrance to the cave is not sealed and its time to visit
the Cave.
The cave
You will find Lady Aribeth here. She is frozen. You'll need three
Veloz Berry in order to fire the large campfire. You can buy this plants in
tavern or Gru'ul have it. Then Aribeth will attack you. Fight her until she
surrender and talk to her. Find the dialog options which helps her to return
back to her faith and you can use her as a henchman (she is lawful good
paladin/blackguard). With proper equipment she is a very tough henchman. Now
return to surface.
You can peer to the crystal in the central part of the street to watch rebel
camp destruction.
Temple
Now go to the Temple and talk to Sensei Dharvana. Receive the quest: Five-Fold
Mysteries. So if you want to see the Sleeper man you must answer five questions
about him.
1. The first question is: Who is he? Sensei will tell you the answer:
Planetar, the creature of good.
2. The second question: From where did he come? Talk to Weary quarry slave
(ice quarry location) and the answer is From Elysium. 3. The third question:
Why did he leave? Talk to Sullen Pilgrim to know the answer: His heart had no
love.
4. The fourth question: Who did he seek? The answer is in the book in the
temple: The creature Knower of Places.
5. The fifth question: What was the answer? Talk to Reaper and he will tell
you: She will find you by the Gates of Cania.
Tavern
Now go to the tavern and talk to Arden Swift. He has the trumpet of
pandemonium which will help you to awake the Sleeping man. You can play cards
with him. You need to put an item with 5000 or higher value on card desk and
you have 5 questions before telling the right card. And the most important
thing that you must have a very HIGH Wisdom or it will impossible to learn the
right card (or maybe you are very lucky). You can increase WIS with proper
items and spells. The most simple way is to kill Arden and take the trumpet
from his corpse. There is also Rizolvir's ghost there. He will help you to
upgrade your weapon.
Now go to the temple and speak to Sensei. Answer her questions and go to the
Sleeping man chambers. Use the trumpet to awake him and fight Sensei. Kill her
and talk to Sleeping man. Then wear the Sensei amulet and enter Astral door.
Subterranean Vault
Fight skeletons three times then take ring pieces from orbs. Then use this
parts in your inventory and choose HFL (hope, faith and love). Equip puzzle
ring to see the world in other vision. Search for treasure and return to
surface. Watch the signs (arrows) and follow them to enter another Astral door.
If you don't wear puzzle ring then you can't see this invisible arrows.

***********************************************************
2. The Wastes of Cania

Wastes of Cania
Follow arrows and fight guardian of the path. You will be shifted to pixie,
earth elemental and wolf. Kill guardian and search his corpse. Now you can use
Sensei amulet to shift to the pixie, earth amulet or wolf. Go to the ice
barricaded exit and shift to earth elemental, then break the ice and enter the
cave (to return to normal form click right mouse button on yourself and choose
unpolymorph option).
Deeper wastes of Cania
Fight some ice trolls and follow the arrows. Peer the crystal here to watch
the Underdark battle. Go to the south and enter Planar gate.
The mimic's nest
Watch cutscene and your clothes are stolen by mimic (the flying chest). Use
puzzle ring to avoid the electrical barries and fight some miners. Activate
four levers (2 visible and 2 invisible (visible with puzzle ring)). Open the
door and enter another door.
The Hall of the Gems
Search this area for some gem piles. If you have enough gem piles then notice
the central lever with four statues in circle. You'll need to lure the Mimic to
this circle and push the lever in order to kill mimic. Use the gem piles in
order to lure mimic (just drop them on the ground in order to create some path
to the circle). But beware the rats. While the mimic is in the circle use the
lever and fight Gargamesh. Kill him and search his corpse and the corpse of the
mimic for your stolen armor. Then enter the Portal door.
Deeper wastes of Cania
Use demonic hand in your inventory on torch on the other side of the river.
Then fight trolls and equip puzzle ring to enter the portal door here but
before prepare for the tough fight.
Abandoned entry
Well, I love this battle. There are a lot of bad guys in small place. Grimgnow
(the evil monk from NWN: OC), Maugrim (evil wizard), Balpheron (tough one with
spells) and other band members. Fight them all and be ready to use heal potions
or spells. Grimgnow is very tough because he is spell resistant, has a very
high AC and heals himself. After killing them all search their corpses for some
useful items. Take the key from Grimgnow corpse and open the door. Watch for
small hole in the crates and shift to pixie (use your amulet). Fly through the
hole and push the lever. Now the exit is unlocked.
Puzzles Sepulcher
Fight some puzzles here. Touch the statue to see the hint. Then use the lever
to appear on small lava island. The arrow on the ground will show you the
direction of the next teleportation, so use the lever to teleport to the other
islands. There are three levers on the islands which are very important for
statue puzzle. You should activate the blue color on them (lighting color) just
push all every lever until the color on lever will be blue (not red or yellow).
Then go to the statues and turn them in right direction: the central statue
must face the door and the side statues must face the central statue. If
everything is ok then the lighting bolts will appear from statues and you can
use the lever near the statues to open the entrance. If there is a message that
something is wrong than check the levers on islands, they must have the
lighting color (blue color) and the statues must shine blue. On the next room
watch for arrow on the floor until it points the door direction and open the
door. Now you should use again demonic hand in order to jump to the other areas
and to move forward. Find the guardian of the path at the end and kill him.
Enter the portal.
Knower of the places
Talk to this creature. Then enter Astral door.
Deepest Wastes of Cania
Follow the tracks. Fight some frost giants and trolls. You can clear the
ice-bound lair (south-west) for more EXP. Find and peer to crystal to watch the
Waterdeep invasion. Go to the West Frost Giant Fortress.
Fortress
Watch the cutscene and fight giants and demon. Enter the fortress breach.
Windswept Battlefield
There are a lot of demons here. You can use your elemental shape to use trees
and stones to destroy enemies. Equip puzzle ring and follow the arrows. Use the
demonic hand to go to the ice prison location and prepare for big fight.
Destroy all demon warriors and the Guardian of the Path. Now follow the arrows
again until you find the catapult. Use your elemental shape to throw the
catapult to the ice prison field. Then return to ice prison and use the
catapult to free the prisoners from the holes. Free The knower of names and
talk to her.
The knower of names
Ask about Reaper's name and she will tell you his name. If you have enough
gold then you can know more true names which will be important in future. You
can use djinn's bottle to sell some items to aquire more money.
Deekin's name: you'll need 200 000 gold. In the final you can use Deekin's
true name to protect deekin from Mephistopheles's influence or if you have high
persuasion then you don't need it.
Aribeth's name: 200 000 gold. Same as Deekin.
Sleeping man name: 100 000 name
Sleeping man true love name: 300 000 gold. The answer is random. For example
Knower of Names or Aribeth. Aribeth is more useful choise because you the
Sleeping man will appear in the final battle and you don't need to pay Knower
for Aribeth's true name.
Gru'ul name: 100 000 gold. Talk to Gru'ul about his name in future.
Arden Swift true name: 100 000 gold. Talk to Arden in tavern (if he is not
dead of course).
Knower of names true name: 100 000 gold
Your true love true name: the answer is random
Mephistopheles true name: 500 000 gold and you must know first the true name
of the knower of names (+100 000 gold)
Valen's true name: Same as other henchmans

So if you are finished with knower of names then return back to the city of
lost souls. Then speak with a Sleeping man and go to the Reaper. Speak to
Reaper and travel to Waterdeep.

**************************************************************
3. The Final Battle

Watch the cutscene and talk to Durnan. Then Mephistopheles will appear. If you
know his true name then you don't need to fight him. He will try to turn your
henchmans against you, so if you have enough persuasion then persuade them or
use their true name. Prepare to fight. The battle is tough so heal potions are
very useful. Fight him until he surrender and talk to him. Decide his fate and
watch the end scene.
