-1.0 LEGAL STUFF
=============================================================================

THPS3 belongs to Neversoft and Activision O2. This guide belongs to me and
if you want to use it on your site, contact me first. It won't hurt anyone,
especially not you, to ask me for permission because I'll most likely say yes
anyway. Printing this out for your own personal use is fine, but don't use
this for profit. I sure didn't make any money out of this, so why should
anyone else? All of the information listed in this guide has come from me and
my play testing, unless mentioned otherwise.

0.2 UPDATE HISTORY
=============================================================================

Version 2.1 (1/29/01) - Put in more tricks in the Trick Values section.

Version 2.0 (1/22/01) - Added the Trick Values section. Other than that, I
just fixed some things here and there. But probably the most important update
is the little arrow and the "You Are Here" pointing to the "Contents" in the
Contents. Ugh, that was confusing. Just look in the contents! You'll see.. lol

Version 1.9 (1/20/02) - Yes, a helluva long time since I last updated. Why?
Well, first, I went off on a trip on Xmas vacation that took MUCH longer than
I expected. Then when I came back I got FFX and have been drooling playing it
ever since. :p And also when I got back, my email account said I was over the
memory limit, so it turns out emails were sometimes getting deleted. So if you
sent me something and it isn't up here you might want to send it again. I did
have SOME emails but I think I would have had more if it wasn't for the memory
thing. Anyway, I just added a few submissions in this update and finally got
all the locations for stats, SKATEs, and decks done. I also took out the
bounty hunter section, since I didn't see any need for it anymore.

Version 1.8 (12/10/01) - I added several characters to the locations of the
walkthrough, including some secret characters. I also added several
contributions sent to me, and some other little things.

Version 1.7 (12/1/01) - Okay, some weird things happened. For a while the
page said my guide was still version 1.4, when it was the 1.5 version. Then
I sent in 1.6 but it never got put up... Oh well. Here's 1.7. I added Rune
Glifberg and Geoff Rowley, not to mention the Demoness stats and moves to the
secret character list, and also some contributions.

Version 1.6 (11/27/01) - I don't remember what I did in this update. I think
I added several contributions, cleared out Bounty Hunter list(I hope that'll
last) and did Bucky Lasek. Hmm... That be all I remember.

Version 1.5 (11/22/01) - Not a big update. A very small one, actually. Just
added Custom Skater to the locations, and added one contribution. Anyway,
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Version 1.4 (11/20/01) - Added Andrew Reynolds and Rodney Mullen. Made a few
minor corrections in the guide, as well as some more contributions. Added
starting stat points and special tricks for some unlocked characters. Finally,
I put in some custom flatland tricks.

Version 1.3 (11/17/01) - Added Chad Muska's stuff, but broke the record of
missing deck locations(4). I also put in some more contributed stuff, and
created a new section. I also made some ASCII art which...hey! Stop laughing
at it!!

Version 1.2 (11/14/01) - I did Eric Koston, but to my surprise(a happy one)
many of his locations are the same as either Tony Hawk's or Caballero's.
Besides that I filled out another of Tony Hawk's deck locations, submitted by
Andrew Chang.

Version 1.1 (11/12/01) - Added Caballero's locations for all the levels except
the Cruise Ship. I'll be finishing that up pretty soon. I also put in several
contributions I got.

Version 1.0 (11/10/01) - I wrote the basics and the entire walkthrough for
the game for Tony Hawk. I missed a few decks, though. I'm planning on adding
more character-specific things soon(stat points, decks, S-K-A-T-E locations).

1.0 BASIC INFO
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
=============================================================================

=============================================================================
1.1 INTRO
=============================================================================

Another great THPS game, this time for the PS2. THPS3 is superior to its pre-
decesors with smoother, more realistic graphics, new trick features and
hidden combos, option for online play, and much more. If you liked THPS
and/or THPS2, you'll love this one. The Create-A-Skater mode has been
upgraded, new tricks have been added, and the money system is gone. You now
have to find stat points and new dekcs, adding challenge to the game.

One downside of this game is the leave of Bob Burnquist, but to recoup Bam
Margera was added.

Overall, this is a great game that you won't want to stop playing.

=============================================================================
1.2 FLIP TRICKS
=============================================================================

There are some new features in many things. First, I'll talk about Flip
Tricks.

In THPS3, you can execute double and triple kickflips/heelflips/impossibles,
and 180, 360, and 540 shove-its by simply pressing the square button more
times.

For example, you want to do a triple kickflip. Pressing left+square(the
default kickflip buttons) will do only one, but if you press left+square,
square, square, you'll do three kickflips. Doing the triple kickflip this way
looks just like the special from THPS2, except you can do it anytime and may
decrease it to two kickflips if you don't think you have enough air for three.
This also goes to heelflips, impossibles, and shove-its.

A neat feature. Besides, Triple Kickflip looks better than Kickflip + Kickflip
+ Kickflip.

Another two hidden flip tricks are the Kickflip to Indy, and Kickflip to
Crail. This is easy to pull off because the only move you need in your trick
list is the Kickflip, which should be there anyway. You don't need the grab
moves in your trick list to perform these hidden combos.

Kickflip to Indy - kickflip(default Left + Square) then Right + Circle
Kickflip to Crail - kickflip(default Left + Square) then Up + Circle
Beni Fingerflip - Benihana then Up + Square

You have to press the second command quickly after you do the first for it to
work.

=============================================================================
1.3 GRINDS
=============================================================================

You can now change your grinds without having to ollie out of them. All that's
needed is a few button presses. Next I'll list a grind and the buttons to
change it to other grinds. The original grind has quotation marks(") around
its name.

"50-50" (go parallel to the rail and grind without pressing the D-Pad)
Down + Triangle - 5-0
Up + Triangle - Nosegrind
Down, Down + Triangle - Bluntside
Up, Up + Triangle - Nosebluntside

"5-0" (Down + Triangle)

Down, Down + Triangle - Bluntside
Square + Square - Tailslide
Circle + Circle - Feeble

"Nosegrind" (Up + Triangle)

Up, Up + Triangle - Nosebluntside
Square + Square - Noseslide
Circle + Circle - Overcrook

"Bluntslide" (Down, Down + Triangle)

Down, Up + Smith - Smith
Square + Square - Tailslide
Circle + Circle - Feeble

"Nosebluntslide" (Up, Up + Triangle)

Up, Down + Triangle - Crooked
Square + Square - Noseslide
Circle + Circle - Overcrook

"Tailslide" (Right + Triangle)

Down, Down + Triangle - Bluntslide
Circle + Circle - Feeble

"Noseslide" (Left + Triangle)

Up, Up + Triangle - Nosebluntslide
Circle + Circle - Overcrook

"Overcrook" (Up & Left + Triangle)

Up, + Up + Triangle - Nosebluntslide
Square + Square - Noseslide

"Crooked" (Up & Right + Triangle)

Up, Up + Triangle - Nosebluntslide
Square + Square - Noseslide
Circle + Circle - Overcrook

"Feeble" (Down & Left + Triangle)

Down, Down + Triangle - Bluntslide
Square + Square - Tailslide

"Smith" (Down & Right + Triangle)

Down, Down + Triangle - Bluntslide
Square + Square - Tailslide
Circle + Circle - Feeble

All special grinds EXCEPT Coffin, Human Dart, both Darkslides, Handstand
50-50, Dark Jedi Grind and Ghetto Blastin (Muska's grind) can be chained
out of. Thanks to ausmus for this info.

=============================================================================
1.4 MANUALS/REVERT
=============================================================================

Using plenty of manuals is key to scoring big. This nifty little move allows
you to chain tricks together and make huge combos. Now in THPS3, if you have
a special manual in your trick list and do it, you can change it into other
manuals(like you can with grinds). And while you're in the following manuals,
you can flip them by pressing Left + Square. This works on all of them except
Anti-Casper.

Left, Left + Triangle - Railstand
Right, Right + Triangle - Truckstand(do it again for a Truck Spin)
Left, Right + Triangle - Anti-Casper
Right, Left + Triangle - Casper
Right, Right + Circle - Handstand

Another new feature with manuals is the pivot. By pressing R2 during
some manuals you can turn 180 with it(pivot) and get extra points and a
multiplier.

And another new revolutionary addition to THPS3, the revert. By pressing R2
just as you land from a vert trick, you can quickly do a manual and continue
the trick chain. This will make it much easier to score big. Get used to using
it a lot.

--
And something I just found out, thanks to Planet Tony Hawk(uh, written wrong?)
and some members of the THPS3 board for pointing it out. Apparently, the R2
and L2 along with Triangle can also produce tricks from except manuals.

So far, this is what I know:

Rodney Mullen: (from a Truckstand) R2+L2+Triangle = Pogo to Hair Flip
Tony Hawk: (from a Truckstand) R2+L2+Triangle = Truckspin
Eric Koston: (from a Truckstand) R2+L2+Triangle = Truckspin
Chad Muska: (from a Truckstand) R2+L2+Triangle = Truckspin

I'm starting to suspect everyone besides Mullen has only the Truckspin. :p

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.4X CUSTOM FLATLAND
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's some flatland tricks I put together, which I desire to be an exclusive
for my guide only. No one can take this, put it in their guide and claim it as
their own(or give me credit, for that matter). However, you can use these for
busting out tricks and all. Sorry to start off a bad note.

Anyway, again, here's some flatland tricks I put together.

RODNEY MULLEN'S FREESTYLIN'
This trick appeared in THPS2, and can also be seen in the Neversoft intro of
THPS3 and Rodney Mullen vs. Daewon Song Round 1(there are probably more
Sources that I don't know about, and that goes for all of the following
tricks).

Version 1
This is when I first found out about flatland, and thought of the Freestylin'.
Truckstand -> Truckstand Flip -> Railstand -> Casper -> Casper
(Special) -> Left + Square -> Left, Left + Triangle -> Right, Left + Triangle
-> (Special)
First of all, you need a special manual trick to start it off, and in this
case it's the Truckstand. At the end of this version, you have to do two
Caspers(like Mullen does in real life), but since you cant do another if you
are already in one, the last Casper must be set as another special manual
trick.

Version 2
The neater version.
Truckstand -> Truckstand Flip -> Railstand -> Casper -> Casper Flip
(Special) -> Left + Square -> Left, Left + Triangle -> Right, Left + Triangle
-> Left + Square
This version substitutes the second Casper for a Casper Flip. It looks more
realistic than jumping out of a Casper and into another one. The Casper Flip
looks more like what he does in real life.

RODNEY MULLEN'S HANDSTANDS
Source: Mullen's THPS3 vid

#1
Handstand -> Kickflip
(Special) -> (ollie)Left + Square
Rather simple, but the game doesn't have Mullen's real handstand tricks(it has
double flip and 360 Hand Flip, which he doesn't do as far as I know).

#2 - Version 1
Handstand -> Hand Flip -> Railstand -> Casper -> Casper Flip
(Special) -> Left + Square -> Left, Left + Square -> Right, Left + Square ->
Left + Square
This is the one where Mullen goes from a handstand to a railstand.

#2 - Version 2
Handstand -> (ollie)Kickflip) -> Primo -> Casper -> Casper Flip
(Special) -> Left + Square -> (Special) -> Right, Left + Square -> Left
+ Square
This is the same trick, but instead you jump and do the kickflip, landing in
a Primo(railstand).

=============================================================================
1.5 LIPS
=============================================================================

Some lip tricks offer air after they're over, which gives you two options. Do
a trick out of it, or land in another lip trick. Yes, you can now link lip
tricks or trick out of them. You can also balance lip tricks, making the Lip
Balance stat more meaningful.

The following info was contributed by ausmus(aus_mus@hotmail.com):

I divided lip tricks into two categories, foot tricks (disaster, axle stall
etc.) and inverts (invert, gymnast plants).

Here's the list of combos from foot tricks:
> > triangle = Axle Stall
< < triangle = BS Boneless
< > triangle = Disaster

And from an invert:
> > triangle = Invert
< < triangle = 1 Foot Invert
> < triangle = Varial Invert to Fakie
< > triangle = Gymnast Plant

All special lip tricks except H Teeth Sweeper and the Dark Disaster can be comboed jumpless
as well.

Update: Abhai Shah emailed me saying the Dark Disaster CAN be comboed out of
jumpless.

=============================================================================
1.6 SPECIALS
=============================================================================

When you first play the game, you may be disappointed that you can only pick
4 special tricks. But actually, you can have a total of 10 special trick
slots. How can you increase the number of slots? Complete all the goals for
any non-competition level. There are six of those, so 6 + your starting 4 =
10. ;)

The deal with choosing which buttons pull them off is the same as THPS2,
except you don't have to buy anything. You can just choose from any trick and
you can also change your tricks in the middle of your run(although you can't
watch the replay if you do that).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.0 WALKTHROUGH
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
=============================================================================

=============================================================================
4.1 FOUNDRY
=============================================================================

GOAL COMPLETION

60,000 Sick Score - Well, you shouldn't have too much trouble scoring 60,000
points. Simply go in the half-pipe and do grab or flip tricks, add in a
couple of reverts and manuals and you should destroy the Sick Score in no
time.

Secret Tape - using the small kickers that are in front of you in the
beginning of the level, jump onto the catwalk. Ride to the right side and
keep going until you reach a small room with glass on one of the sides and a
rail on the opposite side from which you came. Turn towards the small kicker
in this room, you should see the Secret Tape. Use the kicker to launch
towards it, and land in a grind in the rafter and you'll get the Secret Tape.

Cannonball Over The Half Pipe(Vert Skaters) - the default controls for the
Cannonball is Right + Circle. In the beginning of the level just go straight
and head down the Rolling, which should give you enough speed to jump over the
half pipe. Do a Cannonball and this goal is done.

50-50 TC's Rail(Street Skaters) - In the beginning of the level go down the
left rolling. Keep going and you'll run into two paths, each with a rail on
both sides. Counting from the left to the right, hit a 50-50 on the third
rail.

Soak The Foreman - go down the right rolling in the beginning of the level.
You'll eventually go up a catwalk with a blue pool of some liquid. Ride to the
side where the man is standing and grind it the rail behind him. The hook will
snatch him up and drop him in the pool.

Grind The Molten Bucket - this is kind of tricky. First, go to the end of the
Level to the quarter pipe. Turn so that you're facing the small pool of lava.
Wait until the molten bucket turns and starts pouring lava into the pool. Then
go forward and use the small kicker to jump up and grind one of the short white
rails on either side of the bucket.

Un-jam 5 Valves - There are five valves circling the level. If you just ride
around the wall of the level you'll find the five valves easily. They have a
red light on them if they're still jammed, so look for that, too.

STAT POINTS, DECKS, AND S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Thomas, Officer
Dick, Darth Maul
S - go down the left rolling and continue until you hit a small quarter pipe
to the left of pathway.
K - go back to the three starting rollings but don't go up them. You should
see the K lingering above one of the quarter pipes.
A - jump over the half pipe and turn right. You'll see the A above a green
structure thingy. Grind it and snatch the A.
T - keep going and grind the rail circling the quarter pipe area. The T is
above this rail.
E - keep grinding the rail and you'll come to another quarter pipe, with the E
above it.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Private Carrera,
Demoness, Kelly Slater
S - over the pool that you soak the foreman with. Use the slope of the catwalk
to jump up and get the S.
K - over one of the quarter pipes after the rolling but before the half pipe
in the beginning
A - over the Press Box Kink rail, which is next to TC's rail.
T - grind the long rail that goes around the quarter pipe at the end of the
level. You'll find the T on it.
E - the E is over the quarter pipe to the side of the pool of lava that the
molten bucket pours into. Instead of catching air off the quarter pipe to
get it, you'll have to use the lip of the pipe as a kicker to jump and get it.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater,
Wolverine, Ollie the Magic Bum, Neversoft Eyeball
S - over the half pipe in the beginning. Simply ride down the middle rolling
and jump the pipe to get it.
K - beyond the half pipe you'll see the K above a green structure thingy.
Grind it and snatch the K.
A - above the pool of lava that the molten bucket pours into. Just use the
quarter pipes next to it to get it.
T - head to the rightmost path after you get the A. The T is on the right rail
on this path.
E - go all the way back to the starting position to see the E over one of the
quarter pipes up there.

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- on the right side of the catwalk(high in the air, not the ground level one)
- above the half pipe
- above the quarter pipe at the very end of the level
- when grinding on the metal rafter where the Secret Tape is, wait to the end
then jump to the right. When you land on the hanging metal thing, come to a
stop and turn around. You should see the stat point on a piece of metal. You
must jump up and grind that piece of metal to get the stat point
- there's a stat point to the side of a Press Box Kink rail. You can simply
grind it to get the stat point

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- over your starting point. Turn around and catch air off the quarter pipe to
get it
- near the foreman that you have to soak. When you go to complete that goal,
you'll see this stat point. Use the quarter pipe on that side of the catwalk
to jump up and get it
- above the half pipe
- one stat point hangs high in the air near TC's rail. Use one of the slopes
in the area to get up there and grab it
- when you get the secret tape, don't jump off. Keep grinding and when you
reach the end, ollie to the left or right. You'll land in some huge hanging
piece of metal. Just keep skating and jump to the hidden place with the
quarter pipe. Here you'll see the stat point over the quarter pipe

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- up near the guy on the catwalk high in the air. Get up to the catwalk and
carefully maneuver to it
- above the half pipe. Catch air using it to get the stat point
- in the middle of the level is a compressor or something that raises from
time to time(it's located between the two paths that have the rails on the
side of them. When its up, get the stat point that shows up where it was
- grind the side of the pool you use to sink the foreman with to find this
stat point
- get up in the secret quarter pipe area high in the air at the end of the
level. Follow the Secret Tape rafter then jump to one of the sides so that you
don't fall back down below, to get to the secret area(if you didn't know). The
stat point is above the quarter pipe in this area. Another way to get up here
is to catch air off the quarter pipe below on the ground level and hold
triangle to grind the tip of it

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- over one of the quarter pipes right before the half pipe(to the side of the
rollings)
- above one of the quarter pipes to the side of the lava pool that the molten
bucket pours into
- on the left side of the high catwalk(not the ground level one). Use the
kicker between the rollings to jump up to the catwalk and skate to the stat
point
- go to the glass room high in the air where you use the kicker to jump for
secret tape(or the rafter it is on). The stat point rests in this room
- in the very back of the level, behind the rail that wraps behind the long
quarter pipe is a stat point

DECK LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer,
Private Carrera, Demoness, Kelly Slater, Neversoft Eyeball
- over the quarter pipe to your right in the beginning of the level.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- go to the end of the level, to the long quarter pipe near the molten bucket.
The deck is over the gap of the long quarter pipe(not the one to the sides of
the lava pool).

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Darth Maul, Officer
Dick, Custom Skater
- go down the left rolling and head for the quarter pipe to the side of the
path and near the massive, brown barrels. Use the pipe to launch yourself up
on them and grind the small rail up there to get the deck.

=============================================================================
4.2 CANADA
=============================================================================

GOAL COMPLETION

120,000 Sick Score - grind the fence to your right in the start of the level
and keep going for easy points. If your balance gets shaky or you reach the
end of the rail, jump off into a manual, and grind the pipes in the area.

CONTRIBUTED TIP
Given to me by chat, ausmus's tip.

"kickflip into a grind on the first rail you see at the start of the level,
then flip trick onto the fence at the end of that rail, then from the fence,
flip trick into a grind on the fun box wall, then flip trikc out of that into
any manual (use a special manual because you probably will ahve your special
built up by now) and go towards the quarter pipe straight ahead. revert out
of that and manual over to the rails going down the hill, flip trick into a
grind and jump over to the parallel rail if you wish, when you finish those
rails, jump out, and manual towards the quarterpipe ahead and either do an
air trick and revert out into a manual again, or jump up and grind the coping
and onto the billboards for a possible stat point and letter (depending on
the skater you use). This should net you a healthy 200,000 points if not more
depending on the tricks you use"

Secret Tape - go to the side of the blade and jump up to the house using the
big pile of snow. Ride off to the left onto the walkway. Jump onto the single
piece of wood going off from this and grind it to reach another walkway and
another piece of wood that you must grind. You'll see some kind of machine
near the railing of this walkway. Grind the railing in front of it to raise
the half pipe at the end of this walkway up. Now launch yourself up onto the
raised half pipe and ollie off the other side to reach another wooden half
pipe. Ride this one to the end and ollie off it to a gutter-type thing. Once
you get to the end of this gutter jump up and grind the right side of it, and
hold down Triangle. You'll automatically land in a grind on the right side
of the metal tracks, leading you right into the Secret Tape.

Melon Grab Over The Blade(Vert Skaters) - the blade is the very thing you
skate off of in the beginning of the level. Use the quarter pipes to jump over
it doing a Melon Grab (default controls: Left + Circle).

Nosegrind Around The Horn(Street Skaters) - go to the side of the blade and
jump up to the house using the big pile of snow. Right off to the left onto
the walkway. Keep riding the circle until the walkway ends. When this happens,
jump and Nosegrind the wooden railing(Up + Triangle). Keep the grind until you
get the "Around The Horn" gap. Jump off and land it to complete this goal.
An easier way to get up to the horn is to fall into the unfrozen little lake
with the logs over it(near the bully). When you are restarted you're brought
right next to the horn. Clumsiness can show you the way ;)

Get Chuck Unstuck - Ollie over the fence to your left in the beginning and run
into Chuck to get him unstuck.

Bury That Bully! - Use the blade to jump into the tree the bully is under.
If you hit the right one (it's the one with more snow than the others), snow
will fall down and bury the bully.

Impress The Skaters - there are five skaters in the park area. You'll have to
find them and bust a trick in front of them worth several thousand or more to
impress them. First, jump the fence to your right and do a trick in the pool
to impress the first skater. Ride out of the pool and continue along the
fence. You'll reach another skater on a quarter pipe. After impressing him,
turn left and impress the skater standing on the messed up little snowy half
pipe. Pass this half pipe and you'll reach a long quarter pipe, with another
skater on it. Now head back to the blade and you'll see a quarter pipe next to
it. That's where the last skater stands.

STAT POINTS, DECKS, AND S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Thomas, Officer
Dick, Darth Maul
S - use the small ramp in front of you to get the S.
K - keep riding and catch air off the quarter pipe to get the K.
A - turn and skate down the parking lot. Grind the fence facing the snow to
get the A.
T - catch air off the quarter pipe in here, too, to get the T.
E - wallride the big Nokia or Jeep ads and wallie into a grind on top of them
to catch the E.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Private Carrera,
Demoness, Kelly Slater
S - grind the fence to your right. Keep grinding and you'll get the S.
K - after the curve you'll see the K. Jump to the side and grab it.
A - keep going straight and you'll come to the A, over a quarter pipe.
T - you'll have to exit the same quarter pipe to get the T. Keep skating along
the pipe, and when you come to the T, start a grind on the fence under it.
E - jump for the totem when you come to it to get the E.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater,
Wolverine, Ollie the Magic Bum, Neversoft Eyeball
S - at the end of the fence that runs to your left at the beginning of the
level.
K - use the big pile of snow right in front of you to jump up on the house
and the get the K.
A - keep riding and start a grind on the log extending from the wooden walk-
way. The A is on this log.
T - on the next log, which is right in front of you if you finish your
previous grind.
E - at the end in the air of the next wooden walkway. Use the quarter/half
pipe there to get it.

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- one stat point is visible from the start. It's hanging over the pool area
right over the fence to your right
- skate forward and turn right when you get to the quarter pipe to reach the
parking lot area. Between the rails is a stat point
- in front of the house behind the blade is a little bridge. A stat point can
be acquired by grinding the middle stick of wood
- on a flat rail in the park area is another stat point
- in the area with the big trunk that you can use as a quarter pipe, there's a
stat point hanging over a Correl Gap Transfer

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- go straight in the beginning and you'll see this stat point on a funox
- grind the fence to the right when you start the level and you'll get this
stat
- keep grinding, then drop down to the left when you see another stat point in
the parking lot
- use the big pile of snow to hop up on the house behind your starting point,
then skate off to the wood walkway. You'll see a stat point right there for
the taking
- go to the area with the big trunk. You'll find this stat point hanging over
a quarter pipe gap

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- on the low white rail right to the right of the starting position
- above the quarter pipe at the end of the parking lot area
- above the long half pipe in the park area. It's on the opposite of the
skater on the same pipe
- get some good speed, then head straight for the blade(the rolling type thing
that you start on). Use it to propel yourself up onto a concealed walkway,
leading to the stat point
- when you go for the Secret Tape goal, stop and turn around on the walkway
with the quarter/half pipe(that you use to get up on the big, secret half
pipe). Now head back and you'll see the stat point on the railing that curves
outward, away from the walkway

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- at the of the long fence facing the snow in the parking lot area
- over the blade behind you at the beginning of the level
- turn around in the beginning of the level and get on top of the house using
the big pile of snow. Then skate down the wooden walkway until you get to a
railing, where the stat point sits
- a little beyond the log leading away from that same walkway is another stat
point
- in the park area, there are several low red rails. A stat point is over one
them(near the pools)

DECK LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer,
Private Carrera, Demoness, Kelly Slater, Neversoft Eyeball
- skate straight at the beginning of the level, then catch air off the quarter
pipe with Canada's flag over it to grab the deck.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- Nosegrind around the horn. The deck is on the wood that you grind.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Officer Dick,
Custom Skater, Darth Maul
- over the pool is the deck(the pool to your right at the beginning of the
level). You have to grind the cable that extends from behind the skater/the
funbox on the other side of the pool to get it.

=============================================================================
4.3 RIO DE JANEIRO
=============================================================================

You first competition! What I usually do is catch some air off the quarter
pipe visible from the beginning, then head over to the outside of the park and
start grinding away. You can get a ton of points from this because there are
rails and benches all around the level.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STAT POINTS AND DECKS LOCATIONS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- go down the path and turn right. You'll see a stat point over a little gap
in the quarter pipe
- go straight from the beginning. Just keep doing straight. Eventually you'll
hit a quarter pipe with a stat point over it
- right over the quarter pipe behind in the start of the level. Just turn
and catch some air off it
- from your starting point, head left and you'll see a stat point over a
planter. Use this kicker-like side of the planter to jump up and grab it
- to the left of the quarter pipes in the center of the park is a funbox-type
thing with benches underneath it on one side and plants on the other. Jump up
to the top and use it to jump to the cables and grab the stat point

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- grind the rails one the outside of the park. Eventually you'll come across a
stat point on one of them
- over the path in the beginning
- one stat point lingers high on the telephone cables. It's to the right of
the starting position. When you find it, get up and grind it. You can use the
planter underneath it or if you can't get up there, try using other
contraptions spread around the park(or you could just transfer all you stat
points to ollie and hangtime. You can always put them back)
- over a planter to the northwest of the starting position
- go out into the streets and circle the level until you find a little place
with a bench and a fountain. You'll also find the stat point over the bench

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- on the white wall on the outside of the park behind the starting position
- near the "Parque Publico de Skateboard" stand are two stat points. Use the
quarter pipe before the one in the air to launch yourself up to get it
- the other one is over the large planter. Simply use the planter's side as a
kicker to jump up and get it
- turn left at the beginning of the level and clear the small quarter pipe/
rolling gap to get another stat point
- the last stat point is high up on the telephone cables. You might want to
transfer your stat points to max out ollie, air, hangtime and whatnot. Anyway,
you have several options. You can use the curbs with rails on them to jump up
there. You can also use the big funbox all the way across from the starting
position to get it(to me, this is the easiest way, just remember to turn
slightly to the right when you exit it).

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- over the planter to the right of the starting position
- in the small wavy funbox also to the right of the starting position
- over the gap of the concrete quarter pipes that you face right when you
start the level
- over a quarter pipe to the left of the starting position
- the last stat point is high up on the telephone cables. You might want to
transfer your stat points to max out ollie, air, hangtime and whatnot. Anyway,
you have several options. You can use the curbs with rails on them to jump up
there. You can also use the big funbox all the way across from the starting
position to get it(to me, this is the easiest way, just remember to turn
slightly to the _left_ when you exit it).

DECK LOCATIONS

Everyone
- go out to the street and keep circling the level until you find a fence in an
alley. Break through it to find a pool and the Deck over it.

=============================================================================
4.4 SUBURBIA
=============================================================================

GOAL COMPLETION

200,000 Sick Score - what I usually do is head left and mix vert, manuals,
reverts, and grinds in the half pipe area. Though it doesn't give that many
points, repeat combos and you'll get 200,000 eventually.

Secret Tape - first you must help the thin man. Then go in his house and use
the quarter pipe you to launch yourself to the right and over the wall. You'll
hear some lightning indicating you'll in the back of the house. Now go to the
middle of the quarter pipe(the highest point) opposite the house and get air,
then go straight and jump up into the house's window. Keep going, holding
Triangle, so that you'll grind the piece of metal and grab the Secret Tape.

"In THPS3 I found that to get the secret tape on Suburbia you can simply
fastplant off the big ramp that you start on if you take a big enough run-up
and have enough speed. Just go up it and fastplant over the top and you can
get it." - Olly

Nosegrab Between The Ramps(Vert Skaters) - head left to the pipe area. To
complete this goal you have to launch yourself from either the middle half
pipe to the outer one, or the outer one to the middle one (meaning the bigger
half pipe isn't used). Remember to Nosegrab(default Up + Circle) when you
transfer from half pipe to half pipe.

Heelflip the Trailer Hop(Street Skaters) - find the trailer with a man with a
camera on top of it. Now use the pipe behind this trailer to gain speed, and
when you reach the highest point of the dirt on the trailer Beanplant(Up, Up
relase X) and do a Heelflip(default Right + Square). Hopefully you'll make the
trailer hop, finishing this goal.

Squash 5 Pumpkins - first go to the half pipe area. On the bigger half pipe is
the first pumpkin. Grind it and you'll squash it, then jump off once you get
to the haunted house. Head around to the quarter pipe on the _outside_, not
inside, and squash the second pumpkin. Now go to the house with the dish
that needs power and hold up while going into the quarter pipe. Start a grind
on the red brick wall, going to the right, and you'll eventually squash
another pumpkin. Now go back to the quarter pipes of this house and use the
farthest one to jump the fence into the neighbor's yard. On a quarter pipe
here is another pumpkin. Now go to the front of this guy's house and near his
front door is the last pumpkin.

Help The Thin Man - from the beginning go to your right to the unfinished
building. Inside it you'll find two long pieces of wood that you can grind.
One of them has the axe which you need to pick up. Once you have go to the
pipe area. Once there, go to the haunted house(which is right next to it) and
skate into the thin man. He'll chop up the boards and disappear.

Restore Power To The Dish - go to the house with the two open driveways and
enter its "backyard". Go up the quarter pipes and make your way onto the roof.
Once you get there, turn right and grind the second planter(it's attached to
the higher portion of the roof). Now slowly head towards the dish to prevent
falling off the roof and not being to stop. Slowly make your way down the roof
and start grind one of the wires that comes off of it. You'll hit two twigs
off the wire. Now that you're on the neighbor's house, stop and turn around.
Grind the other rail to knock off the other two twigs, returning power to the
dish.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STAT POINTS, DECKS, AND S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Thomas, Officer
Dick, Darth Maul
S - head straight from the beginning and jump up to grind the pieces of wood,
throwing you into the neighbor's backyard and getting you the S.
K - quickly stop yourself and turn left. Go up the little pathway to the roof
of the house, where you'll find the K just between a little kicker.
A - continue to the half pipes, and grab the A hanging over the sideways
picnic table.
T - head to the haunted house's yard and you should spot the T. Grab it and
hop down the Haunted Stair Set II.
E - you'll see the E on the second floor of the unfinished house. Use the
quarter pipe on the side to get it.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Private Carrera,
Demoness, Kelly Slater
S - turn left right at the beginning of the level and get the S behind the big
half pipe.
K - head to the back of the pipe area, to the unfinished quarter pipes. The K
is over one of them.
A - head towards the nearest house. You'll see the A over the parked car
in front of the house.
T - the T is over the red brick wall between the house with the dish and the
house with the pool(with the car in front that had the A over it). Just use
either quarter pipe on either side to get it while hopping over the brick
wall.
E - go on top of the roof of the house with the dish. You'll see the E in
plain view.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater,
Wolverine, Ollie the Magic Bum, Neversoft Eyeball
S - turn right at the beginning of the level. Go past the quarter pipes a bit,
then turn left when you get to the fire truck. Now use the big ramp in front
of you to jump up and get the S.
K - try to land on a grind on the fence to your right. If you miss it, use the
kicker in the construction site a bit further to get you up there. Grind the
fence, hopping into the next backyard to get the K.
A - now head to the trailer area and go up on the top of the one next to the
house with the pumpkin at its doorstep. The A is on top of that trailer.
T - now go to the big half pipes in the same area and jump the gap between the
two to get the T hanging in the middle.
E - go into the front yard of the haunted house and to the far quarter pipe
with the pumpkin on its tip. The E is over this quarter pipe.

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- remember the house that needed power restored to the dish? A stat point
lingers above its front door, and you can get it by using the walls as
quarter pipes
- near the big wooden half pipe and near where the thin man stood is a stat
that you can easily catch
- when you use the half pipe in the haunted house to get to the backyard,
you'll pick this stat point up
- on a cable that you can get to by getting on the roof of the house that had
the K and the little kicker. You'll have to jump over the small railing on the
roof of the house, then start grind the cables. Once you get close to the stat
point, jump to the side and grind the cable its on. It may take a few tries to
get this stat point.
- there is a line of quarter pipes on the side of the unfinished house. Jump
up and start a grind on the top and you'll reach the stat point at the end.

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- turn right at the beginning of the level. One stat point is over of the
quarter pipes down the end of the street
- near that in the pool of the unfinished house floats a stat point
- use the quarter pipe in the haunted house to go to the backyard. You'll
pick up the stat point while transferring
- on the trailer involved with the "Heelflip the Trailer Hop" goal
- high up on the telephone cables is a stat point. Go on the roof of one of
the houses its connected to(the one with the pool or the one with the dish)
and start a grind up on the cables. Transfer to other cables if you must to
get the stat point

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- on top of the roof of the house with the failing dish
- high up on the cables is a stat point. Use the closest quarter pipe to it in
the pipe area to jump up and get it, or get on the house with the pool in the
backyard and grind the cables extending from its roof
- turn right from the starting position and go to the left quarter pipe down
the street. The stat point is over it
- over the wall between the haunted house and the backyard. Use the quarter
pipe inside the haunted house to hop over the wall and get it
- over the quarter pipe attached to the back of the house with the pool in
the backyard. The right quarter pipe to be exact

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- go to the back yard of the house with the pool. Turn towards the actual
house and you'll see a quarter pipe on each side of its back wall. A stat
point hangs over the left one
- on the telephone cables next to the ones you must clear out to return
power to the dish is a stat point. Simply grind the cables, then jump to the
side and grind the cable with the stat point
- help the thin man, then use the quarter pipe in his house to jump to the
back yard. You'll most likely get the stat point hanging over the wall in the
process
- turn left at the beginning of the level and jump for the stat point on the
cable extending from the wooden half pipe
- go to the trailer in front of the house with the pool in the back yard.
From both sides of the trailer are cables that lead to the next trailer. The
stat point should be visible to you on one of them. Get on top of the trailer
and grind that cable to get the stat point

DECK LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer,
Private Carrera, Demoness, Kelly Slater, Neversoft Eyeball
- go to the house with the dish that needed power and go up the quarter pipe
path to get to the roof. But instead of jumping to the top of the roof, start
a grind on the tip of the roof. You'll fall off the roof and into the deck.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- on top of the roof of the house with the dish(in fact, it's right next to
the dish).

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Musa, Jamie Thomas, Officer Dick,
Custom Skater, Darth Maul
- there is a quarter pipe on the second floor of the unfinished house. To get
to it, use the quarter pipe on the outside of the house and exit it to get
yourself in, then use the quarter pipe on the second floor to catch air and
grab the deck.

4.5 AIRPORT
=============================================================================

GOAL COMPLETION

300,000 Sick Score - head to the baggage claim area, which is to the right
after the first big drop with those escalators. Once you're there just keep
grinding the outside rails and you'll keep picking up gap bonuses, and after
a few seconds you'll already be rich in points.

Secret Tape - go to the end of the level in the room where you can see the
planes outside. You'll notice red rails running along the sides of this room.
On the largest level of the red rails on the right side of the room is the
Secret Tape. How do you get it, you ask? Use the huge quarter pipe things to
launch yourself up and hopefully land in a grind. Remember that even if you
pass the rail, you may still land in a grind to hold on to the Triangle
button. Once you successfully land in a grind, just balance yourself and
eventually you'll run into the Tape.

Airwalk Over An Escalator(Vert Skaters) - go to the baggage claim area, and do
a an Airwalk(default Down + Circle) over the huge escalators.

Crooked Grind The Baggage Claim(Street Skaters) - Do a crooked grind(Up & Left
+ Triangle) around the baggage claim. Don't ollie out until you get the gap.

Visit 10 Countries - do the "Get The Tickets To Your Skate Buddy" first,
because where you'll end up in that goal is where you want to be for this one
(in the big room with the great outside view). Anyway, once you're here,
you'll notice the red rails running around this room and the flags they have.
Your objective is to grind the rail and rip all 10 flags. There are 5 flags on
both ends of the room, so be quick if time is running and don't wreck the
grinds!

Get The Tickets To Your Skate Buddy - First, grind the reception desk to your
left in the beginning of the level. You'll pick up the tickets. Now remember
that if you bail, you'll lose the tickets, so don't bail! Make your way
through the airport, avoiding people and not doing any extreme tricks. Once
you get to the things that look like metal detectors, use the quarter pipe on
the left side to jump over it. If you pass through those things, you'll lose
the ticket. Now just keep doing until you get to the big room with a great
outside view. Turn left and run into your skate buddy, whom you should
recognize from the goal movie.

Stop The Pickpots - there are 5 pickpockets to stop. One is right in the
beginning of the level near the right reception desk. The second is on the
other side of the room. After getting him, continue, and after the big
escalator drop, go into the bathroom on the right and stop the two
pickpockets there. Then keep going and you'll find the last one in the right
of the big room with a great outside view(hmm...I like that name for it).

S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Thomas, Officer
Dick, Darth Maul
S - use the big hump on your left to ollie up to the ceiling lights. Hop the
gap and grind the other light and you'll get the S.
K - use the second hump in the level to get the K the same way you did the S.
A - go down the left escalator right before the big room with the great view
to get the A.
T - turn slightly to the right and use the huge quarter pipe to jump up and
get the T.
E - finally, go to the end of the right side of the room and go up the quarter
pipe there(not the one used to get the secret tape).

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Private Carrera,
Demoness, Kelly Slater
S - in the middle flat escalator in the beginning of the level.
K - before the second bathroom there are two map thingies(next to the baggage
claim area) that can be used as quarter pipes. Catch air off the right one
while holding forward to exit out of it to get the K high up with the ceiling
light.
A - above the quarter pipe in the middle of the big room(with the outside
view).
T - turn left from that quarter pipe(or right if you just landed a vert trick
off it) and descend to the lower floor by grinding one of the railing in the
spiraling pathway. The T is on one of them(the right one if you're going down
it).
E - on the opposite side of the lower floor is the E. You'll find it above the
pipe-like wall.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater,
Wolverine, Ollie the Magic Bum, Neversoft Eyeball
S - in the first bathroom.
K - in the second bathroom.
A - up on the middle ceiling light in the second big escalator drop. Use the
kicker-like beginning of the middle to jump up and start a grind up there.
T - high above the quarter pipe at the left end of the upper floor(in the room
with the outside view)
E - go down to the lower floor and you'll see the E over a long crate. Jump up
and grind it to get the E.

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- wallride the lockers on your right and start grinding to get the first stat
point
- over one of the escalators in the baggage claim area
- before the second bathroom there are two map thingies(next to the baggage
claim area) that can be used as quarter pipes. Catch air off the right one
while holding forward to exit out of it to get the stat point high up with the
ceiling light
- just like with the first stat point, wallride the lockers after the first
drop and start a grind. However, this time you have to jump to the left and
grind the ceiling lights because that's ultimately where the stat point is
- go as if you were getting the secret tape, and keep on grinding that rail,
and at the end you'll find the stat point

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- wallride the lockers on the right wall in the beginning to get the first
stat point
- over one of the escalators in the baggage claim area
- like the first stat point, wallride the second set of lockers in the level
to get the stat point
- high up on the highest rail layer in the big room with the nice view(how
many times have I used that term? :p lost count) is another stat point. It's
on the left side of the room
- before the second bathroom there are two map thingies(next to the baggage
claim area) that can be used as quarter pipes. Catch air off the _left_ one
while holding forward to exit out of it to get the stat point high up with the
ceiling light

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- use the first hump in the level to jump up and grind the ceiling lights,
jumping the little gap between them to get the stat point
- use the second hump to do the same
- when you get to the second big escalator drop, use the middle kicker to
ollie up to the ceiling light and grind it, getting the stat point
- over the big quarter pipe wall you use to get on the red rails in the room
with the outside view is this stat point
- go to the baggage claim area and hop up on top of the machine in the middle.
aim for the ceiling light, then use the kicker to jump up and grind it. The
stat point is at the end of this light

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- wallride and grind the first lockers on your right to get the first stat
point
- go to the baggage claim area, then turn around to the "detectors". Use the
kicker start of the right one to hop on top of it and get the stat point
- wallride and grind the second lockers. Jump onto the following map directory
then try and stop. If you have too much speed ollie again onto the next
directory and stop there. Turn to that you face the ceiling lights and grind
going left to get the stat point in the gap between the lights
- wallride and grind the second lockers again, jumping and grinding each gap,
and on the last map directory you'll get a stat point
- once you get to the room with the view of the planes outside, turn slightly
left and go up the huge quarter pipe with the stat point over it

DECK LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer,
Private Carrera, Demoness, Kelly Slater, Neversoft Eyeball
- after the first big drop, and when you reach the second lockers, wallride
them and start a grind. Keep grinding straight until the end, and that's where
the deck is.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- "After you go down the first set of escalators, you come to the point with
the two small little ramp things in front of the halogens. Well, on the right
ramp thing, there's a halogen directly to the right of it hanging above, and
the deck is located at the end of it, facing the direction away from the
baggage area. To get this, just go off the right ramp thing a little crooked,
and grind onto that halogen." - joesmokey

Another way to get it is jump on top of the middle of the baggage claim area
and use the small kicker there to jump up to one of the ceiling lights(halogen
as joesmoky called it), then keep grinding, jumping to the left two times to
get to the final one where the deck is at the end.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Officer Dick,
Custom Skater Darth Maul
- "Do the same thing you do to get the Secret tape, except on the opposite
side of where the Secret tape was." - Peter
(this means on the highest layer of the red rails)

4.6 SKATER ISLAND
=============================================================================

There aren't many awesome lines in this level. You can try to start off with a
few tricks using the funbox then make your way to the quarter pipe and start
grinding, manualing the whole way.

Another thing you can try is to enter the half pipe with the rolling and do a
grab trick over it, getting a gap bonus. Then revert and quickly manual, then
go up and grind the other side, heading to the left. Jump up and grind the
wooden railing, then ollie and grind the soda machines, then jump to the left
with a flip trick and landing in another grind, then continue with yet another
grind on the next railing, and from there make something up using the funboxes
if you have balance.

STAT POINTS AND DECKS LOCATIONS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- there's one stat point hanging right over the quarter pipe behind you when
you start the level
- head forward from the start and you'll see a stat point over a quarter
pipe gap
- near the leftmost bowl is another stat point over a small wooden railing
- another one hangs over the two bowls to the right of your starting point
- unlock the outside area by grinding one of the flags in the little gap
between the area with two bowls and the half pipe area. Now go outside and go
onto the ship, turning to the left. Grind the tip of the ship and you'll get
the last stat point

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- make an almost complete turn to the right in the beginning of the level. See
the stat point high up in the air? Use the slope to jump up there and grind
the high rail, leading to it(or just jump for it)
- on the opposite side of the park from the starting position, a stat point
hangs over a quarter pipe gap(not in the bowl/half pipe areas)
- on a railing of the bowl farthest away from the starting position is a stat
point(though you can get it catching some air off that part of the bowl, too)
- on a rail connected to the back of the half pipe. If you just head straight
the beginning you should spot it to your right
- unlock the outside area by grinding one of the flags in the little gap
between the area with two bowls and the half pipe area. Now go outside and go
onto the ship, turning to the left. Grind the tip of the ship and you'll get
the last stat point

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- above the long quarter pipe to the side of the farthest bowl
- above the Neversoft surfboard beyond the large half pipe
- turn right and enter the bowl area next to the starting position. The stat
point is over one of them
- above the first quarter pipe gap on the left side of the level
- unlock the outside area by grinding one of the flags in the little gap
between the area with two bowls and the half pipe area. Now go outside and go
onto the ship, turning to the left. Grind the tip of the ship and you'll get
the last stat point

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- over the second funbox to your left
- use the first funbox on the right to jump up and grind the wooden railing.
After a small trek uphill you'll get the stat point(you need a bunch of speed
to successfully go up it). An easier method would be jumping off and riding up
the raise
- over the bowl farthest from the starting position. Simply catch air off it
to get the stat point
- in the little gap between the half pipe and the bowls to the right of teh
starting point is a stat point. Just make the gap to get it(I'm talking about
where you grind the flag to open up the outside area)
- unlock the outside area by grinding one of the flags in the little gap
between the area with two bowls and the half pipe area. Now go outside and go
onto the ship, turning to the left. Grind the tip of the ship and you'll get
the last stat point

DECK LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer,
Private Carrera, Demoness, Kelly Slater, Neversoft Eyeball
- "On skater island, Hawk's board is on a lamp pretty much directly above where
you start the competition. The easiest way to get it is to jump from the
pool off to your right." - Andrew Chang

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- head straight from the starting position. Above the first quarter pipe gap
on the left side of the park is the deck in this level.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Officer Dick,
Custom Skater, Darth Maul
- grind the flag and open up the outside area, but don't fall off the platform
beyond the flag. Turn right and you'll see the deck floating between the
railings

=============================================================================
4.7 LOS ANGELES
=============================================================================

GOAL COMPLETION

400,000 Sick Score - you might want to max out your character's Rail Balance
stat for this. Start off by grinding the curved railing in front of you, then
jump off with a trick and land in a manual. Turn right and grind the rail that
runs along the street. Jump off at the end and land in another manual. Grind
the pink curb and ollie and do the buttons for your special grind. With some
luck you'll land grinding in the small pool. Now just balance yourself until
you have about 30,000 base points(you should get at least one spectator bonus
from that guy that hangs around here). Once you have around 30,000 base points
jump out with another trick and land. This should be more than enough to get
the Sick Score.

CONTRIBUTED TIP
This tip was sent to me by email from Phrosty.

"Another way to get incredibly high points is to do tricks using the tower
poppin/going ballistic gaps continuously on the ramps beside the fountain. If
you come down with a revert/manual on each trick and keep transfering from
ramp to ramp(with decent stats), you can continue this process, and even
though your speed will have slowed from the manuals, you can still pull off a
good number of tricks as you jump from a top ramp to a bottom one. Just
another suggestion."

Secret Tape - to do this you must first Start The Earthquake. First you should
follow the Block The Car Chase goal, because it puts you in a spot where we
can easily pick up from for this goal. *assumes you did that* So after you
grinded the ledge and the car fell, keep riding and jumping any gaps in the
broken highway until you see some wood boards. Race up them and Beanplant.
Hopefully you'll land on the gray roof. Now just skate a bit to gain speed,
then start another grind at the tip of the gray roof, jumping when you reach
the gap. Land in another grind at the purple roof and keep grinding. Ollie
after the curve straightens out and you'll get the Tape.

One Foot Japan The Tower Poppin' Transfer(Vert Skaters) - go to the small
fountain used to get the Sick Score. There are two quarter pipes here. Use
them to jump up on top of the tower while doing a One Foot Japan (default
Up & Left + Circle) to score this goal. It also works if you jump from the
tower to the quarter pipe below.

Varial Kickflip The Tower Rails Gap(Street Skaters) - beyond the quarter pipes
Near the small fountain, there are two staircases, each with three rails. What
you have to do is start a grind on one, jump, do a varial kickflip, and land
in a grind in another. Get air off the quarter pipe nearby if you need it.

Free Ballin' - head to the area of the level with the purple and yellow walls
and pipes. Here there are two big purple... balls(stop laughing!) that you
have to knock off their pedestals. Simply skate up to them and jump into them.
I find that No Complies and Beanplants work better, and that if you jump too
late you'll just bounce off them instead of knocking them off. You also have
to be facing the concave that follows, because that's the way you want them
to go.

Start The Earthquake - to start the Earthquake you must hit a successful grind
on each of the four tremor rails. First jump down the stair set at the
beginning and head right. Grind the rail that runs along the street to get the
Northerntremor rail. Now turn left until you get to the opposite side of the
street and grind the rail running along there(parallel to the Northerntremor
rail) to get the Southerntremor rail. Now keep going until you come up to two
rails. Turn left and head up the slope, and you'll notice you're back to the
beginning. Turn around and grind the left rail(the longer one) to get the
Easterntremor rail. Finally, head back to the starting position and face the
stair set. Ollie down it and grind the rail on the left in the little
passage that follows to get the final rail. Westerntremor. Now the Earthquake
starts!

Block The Car Chase - to do this you must first Start The Earthquake. Now head
to the carwash(northeast from the starting position) and go to the rear of the
building. The back is quarter pipe-like, so use it to launch yourself on top
of the building. Grind the ledge and jump to the side if you have to. Once
you're on continue skating along and jump onto the broken highway. You should
hear a person screaming for help. You should also notice a car almost falling.
Well, grind the ledge, running into the car, and it'll fall, blocking the car
chase and stopping those annoying chants for help.

S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Thomas, Officer
Dick, Darth Maul
S - in the middle of the Northerntremor rail.
K - around the small fountain used to get the Sick Score.
A - parallel to the S rail, but on the upper level of the area.
T - go to the area where you do the Free Ballin' goal. You'll see the T high
up on a wall. Wallride the gray wall before it then jump up and grind the
purple wall where the T rests.
E - head back to the same area and to the purple half pipe. Start a grind on
the side closest to where the T was, heading left. Hopefully you'll start
grinding a cable that will lead you right to the E.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Private Carrera,
Demoness, Kelly Slater
S - don't drop down the stairset in the beginning. Instead go left down the
path and grab the S.
K - ride forward and get a grind going on the side of the building. Hop the
gap where the K is and keep grinding.
A - if you kept grinding you'll be facing the fire truck when the curb runs
out. Use the kicker in front of it to jump up and grind down the top to get
the A.
T - use the wall of the car wash to jump up over the roof sticking out from
the side to grab the T or just get up on the highway and grind the pipe.
E - the E is above the lone quarter pipe on the other side of the car wash.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater,
Wolverine, Ollie the Magic Bum, Neversoft Eyeball
S - go straight from the beginning of the level and you'll find the S on a
rail under the first building(heading right).
K - across the street is the K hanging over one of the quarter pipes near the
water fountain.
A - in the middle of the stairs gap you have to Varial Kickflip over.
T - the T is on a cable. To get to it, get a grind going on the fence of the
path going to the left(this is looking from where you got the A). Eventually,
you'll grind a small building, then the cable which is connected to it.
E - right after the cable grind is over, grind the yellow concrete sticking
out to bring you right to the E.

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- there's one stat point over the small fountain used to get the Sick Score
- head to the purple quarter pipe in the Free Ballin' area. Start a grind at
the top of it heading right. You'll most likely start grinding out on a cable
leading you to this stat point
- jump off the grind mentioned above when you reach the roof and turn right.
Grind the tip of the roof to get another stat point
- go to the carwash area(to your northeast from the starting position) and go
to its side. In the quarter pipe gap is a stat point
- use the quarter pipe behind you at the beginning of the level to pick up
speed(you need a ton). Once you have a lot of speed, quickly head for the
cable that extends to the roof of the nearby building and start a grind on it.
Get to the top to get the stat point

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- go down near the small fountain. Catch big air off left quarter pipe to get
the stat point up on the balconies
- grind the side of the car wash to pick up a stat point at the end
- go to the purple half pipe in the center area and start a grind on the right
one. This should take you on a grind on a cable that'll lead you to a stat
point
- head left from the beginning and go down the path. Cross the street and go a
bit more and you'll find a partially concealed quarter pipe between the
buildings. A stat point hangs over it
- get up on the broken highway and go to the pieces of wood used to get the
hidden tape. Instead of using them, however, start a grind on the opposite
side of the highway. Then jump off to the nearby building. Now turn left and
grind the rail that you see curving out of sight. The stat point is in the
middle of this rail

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- head down to the little fountain and use the quarter pipes to jump on top
of the tower. Now go to the left one and grind the lip, heading right. Once
the lip ends jump and hopefully you'll grab the stat point suspended in the
air
- go to the car wash. Between the two quarter pipes to the left of the car
wash is a secluded quarter pipe. Catch air on it to get a stat point
- cause the earthquake then get up on the broke highway. Go to the end of it
then grind the left side and jump onto the nearby building. Now turn back and
you should see the stat point in the air. Skate over and jump for it. It's a
long ways down...
- go to the end of the broken highway and use the boards of wood to ollie up
to the roof of the nearby building. Get some speed then grind the tip, jumping
the upcoming gap between the next between and the current one, and getting the
stat point there
- first, get the "They're Grate" gap to open up the grates in the level. If
you don't know how, here are some directions:

"...head over to the fountain and go to the place where you have to Varial
Kickflip the stairs gap and go up the stairs. You'll be next to a building and
you should notice some steam coming out of some grates. Head to the end of
this area(to where there is a path going down) and turn back around so that
you face the grates. Start grinding the brick curb in near you and hop the
small gaps in it, two in total. You should end up near a quarter pipe and get
a "They're Grate" gap. This will open the grates with the steam and also on
top of the building that you can leap to at the end of the broken highway or
by using the cable in the beginning." - Secrets section(not a contribution)

So, unlock that, then get up on the building previously mentioned. The grates
on either side are now opened, so drop in and you should immediately see the
stat point, and be able to get it very easily.

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- go to the place where the photographer wants you to do a varial kickflip. A
stat lingers high in the air over one of the crates. You can simply use the
quarter pipe before it to get air and catch the stat point, or you can open
the grates and use them to jump up and get the stat point
- go to the car wash and get on top of it by grinding one of the sides and
jumping off. Then grind the left side of the half pipe heading to the left
and you'll fall down to a quarter pipe on the ground level and get the stat
point
- go to the center area and go to the purple quarter pipe. Then go up it and
grind to the right. Keep grinding and eventually you'll reach the top of the
theatre. You may want to jump off before continuing the grind to regain
your balance. Anyway, grind again on the tip of the roof and you'll grind a
cable leading off the roof and to the stat point
- get on the broken highway and go to the end of it, then jump off to the
nearby building by grinding the left edge and jumping off. The stat point is
over a rail on the right edge of the roof of this bulding
- go to the center area and get on top of the yellow structure thing then stop
when you're on it. Look around; one of the edges has a stat point on it

again and grind the line. The deck is in the middle of the line." - Phrosty

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,

- go to the area in the center of the level(with the balls you must free). Go
on the orange half pipe and grind the left side's lip. You should
automatically start a grind on the side of the orange half pipe. Keep
grinding, and you'll eventually grind up a telephone cable and to the deck on
it.

=============================================================================
4.8 TOKYO
=============================================================================

The easiest competition for me. Go down the rolling then turn right. Land a
good grab move and revert into a manual. Then do two flip tricks, each time
landing in a manual. Now go up the quarter pipe on the other side and start a
grind going left. Jump the little rolling gap and land in your special grind.
At the end of this grind jump up and hopefully you'll have done it right and
be able to land in a grind on the railing, but if not quickly manual. Keep
doing tricks, grinds and manuals after this for easy 99.9's. Remember, if you
land a combo worth around 200,000 or more, you can bail all you want and
you'll still get a 99.9.

STAT POINTS AND DECKS LOCATIONS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- go down the rolling and go past the funbox then turn left and go up the
walkway. You should see the stat point floating nearby. Just get a grind on
the railing of the walkway and jump for it
- go into this little opening in the wall where you found the previous stat
point and get air off the middle side of it to get another stat point
- first get up to the top of the observation area above the starting position.
Then start grinding the railing that has a cable connected to it heading to
the right of the level. Grinding down this cable will get you a stat point
- continue grinding the cable from the previous stat point and jump off when
you reach the small roof. Now jump onto the next ledge, which is to the wall,
and that'll drop you in another little roof. Don't stop, just keep on riding
and do a Beanplant/Fastplant to get enough air from the kicker to reach the
next sign. Keep grinding after this and you'll get the stat point
- go to the bowl area at the back of the level. Go to the left bowl, but don't
enter it. Instead, use the quarter pipe on the side of it to catch air and
grind the sign hanging above it to get this stat point

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- turn right at the beginning. One stat point hangs plainly over the pipe
- get up on the observation area above the starting point. Then grind on the
cable leading to the left of the level. Keep grinding the signs and you'll
come upon a stat point
- go to the bowls at the end of the level. A stat point is up in the air over
in that area
- get up on the observation area above the starting point. Then grind on the
cable leading to the right of the level. Once you get to the first roof place
jump off and start grinding the long cable with those red things with symbols
on them, and you'll run into a stat point in the middle of this line
- go to the quarter pipe on the right side of the level before the bowls. Get
some air on it, meanwhile holding Triangle, and you'll start grinding a cable.
Quickly jump to the left to get the stat point over another cable

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- get up on the roof of the observation bleachers above the starting point.
Then start grinding the rail leading to the right side of the level, jumping
off at the first roof. On this first building outcrop is the stat point
- get up on the roof of the observation bleachers above the starting point.
Then start grinding the rail leading to the left side of the level. The stat
point is on the first little curb coming out of the big sign
- get up on the roof of the observation bleachers above the starting point.
Then start grinding the rail leading to the right side of the level, jumping
off at the first roof. Now get a grind on the orange sign and make your way
grinding every sign until you come to the back of the level. The stat point
is here(above the right bowl). A much easier way to get this stat point is
to use the bowl in the back area to get a ton of air in the corner
- catch air off the quarter pipe between the loops to get this stat point
- go in one of the bowls at the back of the level. Catch big air on the side
opposite the "doorway" in. Then exit the bowl(via the "door" path). Head
straight between the loops at the quarter pipe there. Once you get to the
highest point of the pipe Beanplant then hold up. If done right you'll fly
up and into the cool, red, mini-bowl under the Nokia blimp. The stat point
is in the middle

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- go down the rolling and turn left, then catch some air off the quarter pipe
to get an easy stat point
- get up on top of the observation bleachers over the starting point. Grind
the cable leading to the right of the level, jumping off on the first building
outcrop. Then grind the orange sign to the wall just beyond this outcrop, and
jump down to the lower outcrop after it, with the stat point
- go to the bowl area at the back of the level. Go in the left bowl and catch
air off the left side(facing the wall). Hold triangle to start grinding the
side of the secret half pipe, then drop in it. Now get some speed in there,
then jump out of it on the side closest to the street. If you got enough air
you should get the stat point
- get some speed then go up the quarter pipe in the beginning. Exit out of it
by holding up. Now you should see yellow rails that extend a little over to
the street and wrap back around. On the leftmost yellow rail is a stat point.
Just grind it and you'll get it
- at the bowl area, head to the quarter pipe right before the right bowl. Get
some speed then launch off it, headed right and you'll get the stat point

DECK LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer,
Private Carrera, Demoness, Kelly Slater, Neversoft Eyeball
- get big air and get a grind on the railing of the roof of the observation
booth place above the rolling from which you start. Quickly to the side so
that you are on the roof, then just ride over and get the deck.

Rodney Mullen, Eric Koston, Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- go to the end of the level to the bowl area. Enter the left bowl, and start
catching air off it. Once you have a lot, head to the left of the bowl and
jump. Hold Triangle to start a grind on the sign above, which is actually the
entrance to the secret half pipe of the level. Anyway, starting a grind up on
the sign will most likely get you the deck there. If not, jump off and try
again.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Officer Dick,
Custom Skater, Darth Maul
- "go to where the bowl is at the end of the level, go to the left side facing
the ramp that is closest to the "wall". i would advise to max out your balance
meter for this one too...gather up speed and launch off the ramp (kinda
crooked) to start grinding on all the signs and shit above it...there is a lot
of gapping and grinding but you should be almost to the end when you get to
the movie theater looking sign...this should have your deck above it (i think
the gap is the Bento Box Gap)" - Ryan Lozoskie

=============================================================================
4.9 CRUISE SHIP
=============================================================================

GOAL COMPLETION

500,000 Sick Score - you can do several things. Drain the pool and session it,
doing a revert and manual after each trick until you have no speed left, which
then you jump up and start grinding the pool. I easily got 520,000 points off
this. Another option is to session the outside of the ship. It has a lot of
places for long grinds and transfers.

CONTRIBUTED TIPS
This tip was sent to me by email from SulfurLad.

"Was looking over your FAQ for THPS3 off gamefaqs.com. Thought I'd give
another tip for the Sick Score on the Cruise Ship. What I did (was SO
easy!) was just use the atrium (that glass hallway on the outside of the
ship?) like a halfpipe. When you do tricks that are high enough, you get
one and if you're lucky maybe two bonus multipliers when you come down for
the "drop deck" transfer. That turns 10-15K point moves into 60-70K point
moves. Do a few of those and you're happy. :)"

And this one by Evan Farnsworth.

"if you go to the lowest deck to the left of beginning, there is the Neversoft
girl, and two life boats. if you go into the life boats (and only use the
longer side, because the ends are only ramps and youll fly off) you will be
able to use it as a halfpipe, and after every landing do a revert. Because
the walls are so close youll be at the other side and able to do a trick
without even manualling. so you can get up to 170 000 point combos with
extreme ease in a matter of 10 or 15 seconds."

Secret Tape - right at the beginning, stop and turn around. You need to get up
and start grinding the cable on top of the two quarter pipes near the starting
position. When you do, it'll take you to the top of the big red column. Jump
off before you go off it. Now use the two little kickers as quarter pipes and
get air. The Secret Tape is over the one to the left(looking from the starting
position as a point of reference). Just jump up and grab it.

Invert The High Wires(Vert Skaters) - to do this you must first drain the
pool. Do so by grinding the little white rail to the side of the big column
near the pool. Then drop in the pool and start doing vert tricks, without
reverts or manuals because they slow you down. Now try to reach the wires
and do an Invert(default Down + Triangle). It's tough, but don't lose patience
because you'll eventually pull it off.

Noseblunt An Awning(Street Skaters) - go to the left of the starting point
and drop down two decks to the boat/ferry area. You should see two awnings
above you. Jump up to one of them and do a Noseblunt(default Up, Up +
Triangle).

Impress The Neversoft Girls - this is harder than the goal in Canada. Now
there are seven people to impress, and this level is bigger. First grind
down the slide of the pool and hop over it if it's not drained. Then keep
going and pull off a trick on the quarter pipe. Remember, it has to be worth
several thousand or the chicks won't be impressed. After landing the trick and
impressing the first chick(rhymes), turn right and head down the pathway to
find another girl. Impress her then return to the pathway and continue down to
find your third. After that go left past the ferry to find a Neversoft girl
near the boats. Impress her and keep on going, impressing the girl never the
quarter pipe. Then go up the wooden part of the quarter pipe across from it
and impress the Neversoft girl among the cake and seats. Go back down to the
lower deck and head right. Go into the area surrounded by glass with all those
hanging plants, and here you'll find your last Neversoft girl to impress.

Another thing you might want to do is bust out a Casper or another special
manual in front of them, do a few flips(left + square) and jump out. The
submitter of this tip, Nik, says it worked better.

Raise The Ferry - similar to Soak The Foreman in the Foundry, you must first
locate the ferry and its control(a man will be standing in front of the
control). To find it easily, just turn left right after you drop from the
quarter pipe and drop two decks with an ollie. Be careful not to fall off the
ship though. Now look for the control of the ferry, and when you find it do a
wallride on it to raise the ferry.

Thrash The Museum - the museum is underneath the starting point. Drop down to
the pool deck and go in. All you really need to do is grind along the edge
near the window and snap the wires holding the big ship propeller up.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STAT POINTS, DECKS, AND S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

S-K-A-T-E LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Thomas, Officer
Dick, Darth Maul
S - turn right and grind the red rail, leading to the white wall with the blue
tip. The S is on top of this wall, just keep grinding.
K - Once on the lowest deck, use the quarter pipe there to get some air and
get the K over it.
A - turn right and go to the board/ferry area. The A hangs high between the
first two boats you come to. Hop in the middle boat and face the first one.
Now just skate and Beat/Fastplant for all your worth. Hopefully you'll snatch
ahe A.
E - yes, you'll actually want to get the E before the T this time. The E is up
in the air a little to the side of the ferry. You'll need to hop up to an
awning and grind it, then hop onto the cable and jump off to get the E.
T - Now backtrack to the ferry. Go in front of it and start grinding the red
or the white railing. You'll drop down to the tip of the safety next, which
you should start grinding, granting you the T(thrash the museum if need be to
get the safety nets out).

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Private Carrera,
Demoness, Kelly Slater
S - on one of the cables leading to the top of the column with the Secret Taoe
over it. Get a grind on the left cable (direction is if you're facing the
quarters pipe near the starting position).
K - Like the Secret Tape is over one of the "quarter pipes" above the red
Column, the K hangs over the opposite "pipe".
A - continue the grind you had on either cable and you'll grind down to the A.
T - when you start to go backwards with the grind, jump off. You should be
near a little fountain where lots of girls are chatting. There's a cake
nearby and the T hangs near it.
E - when you get the T, turn so that you're facing where the A was. You'll see
the E in the air. Just head toward it, using the little kicker-like thing to
boost yourself up there.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater,
Wolverine, Ollie the Magic Bum, Neversoft Eyeball
S - turn 180 and head between the quarter pipes. Grind the long cable you see
with the S over it.
K - keep grinding and you'll eventually wrap around and get the K in the
progress.
A - drop down to the low deck and head right. Grab the A over a small quarter
pipe gap.
T - on top of the planters above the middle of the planter/glass room. Use the
ramps prior to entering the room or grind the white rails above the half pipe-
room then jump with a grind on the planters.
E - head to the upper deck using the spiral pathway you come to after the
glass/planter room and you'll find the E resting on a railing to your left(
if you're going up).

STAT POINT LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Wolverine, Neversoft Eyeball
- above a railing near the ferry is a stat point(it's also near one of the
Neversoft girls)
- on top of the ferry is a hard to get stat point. Go back to where the first
stat point is and hop up on the awning with a grind. Keep grinding, then jump
off and land grinding the cable over the ferry. Quickly jump to the right,
grinding the middle wire, then again to grind the outer cable and get the
stat point
- grind the rail that leads into the museum, jumping to grab the stat point
- above the pool is a stat point that you can get if you just jump. Use the
quarter pipes on either side if you need air
- go to the boat area, but not the one with the ferry; the one near the glass
and planters room. Hop on the first boat, then to the middle boat, then fly up
and grab the stat point

Steve Caballero, Bucky Lasek, Andrew Reynolds, Darth Maul, Private Carrera
- above the glass/garden room. Try getting by grinding the side of the upper
deck then jumping down to it
- thrash the museum then go down to the lowest deck and to the safety nets. Go
to the left side of them and start a grind on them. When you drop down to the
next set of safety nets, you'll grab a stat point
- right after the previous stat point is another one but you have to jump to
the left as you pass it to get it
- descend to the pool deck and turn back to face the starting position. The
walls to the sides of the museum entrance can be used as quarter pipes, so do
that and clear the gap between them to get the stat point over it
- go to the cake area. The stat point is high up in the air in that area. You
need to use the quarter pipe on the lower deck to ollie up to it

Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Elissa Steamer, Custom Skater, Demoness,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- turn left in the start of the level and grind the blue wall leading to the
lower deck
- in the middle of the slide going into the pool
- before the glass/planters room there is a white rail above one of the short
quarter pipes. Use it to get come air and grind the white rail, getting the
stat point on it
- raise the ferry and grind the side of it to get an easy stat point
- continue the grind then grind the white rail that follows, then jump down
and grind the safety nets to eventually get the stat point

Kareem Campbell, Bam Margera, Geoff Rowley, Officer Dick, Kelly Slater
- on the left cable leading to the big column which has the secret tape over
it
- grind the second awning and simply drop off. You'll get the stat point
easily. You can also use the ferry area as a half pipe to launch up and get
it, but if you've already raised the ferry, use the awning
- go to the glass/planter room and get air off the side of the half pipe
facing the ocean and hold Triangle to grind the rail above it. The stat point
is on this rail(though you may not get it if you grind away from it)
- also near the glass/planters room are three boats. Over the gap between
two of them is the stat point. Hop on the boat and use its short side as a
ramp jump up there and get it
- go to the party area with the cake and the little pool, and the you'll spot
the stat point for the taking(to the side of the cake)

DECK LOCATIONS

Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, Bam Margera, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer,
Private Carrera, Demoness, Kelly Slater, Neversoft Eyeball
- above one of the awnings. Use the slopes around the area to launch yourself
up there and grab it.

Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Geoff Rowley, Wolverine,
Ollie the Magic Bum
- turn left at the beginning of the level, and wait for the helicopter to
take off. Then go forward and use the small kicker to jump and grab the deck
hanging just over the tip of the upper deck.

Kareem Campbell, Bucky Lasek, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Officer Dick,
Custom Skater, Darth Maul
- go to the boat area, but not the one with the ferry; the one near the glass
and planters room. Hop on the first boat, then to the middle boat, then fly up
and grab the deck.

=============================================================================
5.2 SECRET AREAS
=============================================================================

Foundry - behind the starting point of the level. You must first complete the
Unjam 5 Valves goal.

Canada - follow the Secret Tape in this level to find the secret area, which
is a big half pipe.

Rio - find the fence on the outside of the level and break through to get to
the secret level.

Suburbia - help the thin man, then use the quarter pipe in his house to jump
over the wall and into his backyard. This is how you get the Secret Tape. You
can also use the quarter pipe across from the one you first land in, in his
back yard to jump up to a secret half pipe on the roof.

Airport - jump over the right reception desk and go into the baggage machine
or whatever its called. You'll come up outside and find a plane, and a way
back down to the baggage claim area. If you grind the plane's propellers it'll
fly away(similar to THPS2, in the first level).

Skater Island - in the gap between the area with two bowls and the half pipe
there are two flags. Land a grind on one and you'll open a door to the
outside. However, note that when you go outside the ship will destroy a wall,
taking down a quarter pipe. If for some reason you need it, wait until later
to go outside.

Los Angeles - cause the Earthquake. This will break the highway and make it
accessible.

Also, head over to the fountain and go to the place where you have to Varial
Kickflip the stairs gap and go up the stairs. You'll be next to a building and
you should notice some steam coming out of some grates. Head to the end of
this area(to where there is a path going down) and turn back around so that
you face the grates. Start grinding the brick curb in near you and hop the
small gaps in it, two in total. You should end up near a quarter pipe and get
a "They're Grate" gap. This will open the grates with the steam and also on
top of the building that you can leap to at the end of the broken highway or
by using the cable in the beginning.

Tokyo - go up to the roof where some decks are. Start a grind on the left
side of it, grinding all the signs as you go. What you must do is snap the
cords holding the certain sign up and it'll crash, opening the secret area.
And I must say, this is the coolest secret area. It looks like a sector of
Midgar from FF7...

Another concealed place in Tokyo is this hidden half pipe. Go to the end of
the level, and enter the bowl area. Go in the left bowl, then catch air on
its left side or grind on top of the observation bleachers. The half pipe is
to the left of the bowl and higher up. Thanks to ausmus for pointing this
little area out to me.

6.0 INTERESTING LITTLE FACTS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
=============================================================================

Some interesting little facts about or in the game.

- "On the first level, two of the workers, somewhere in the middle of the
level standing in front of one of the big machines, can be heard saying "What
are we makin' anyways?"." - Kristian Meller

- in the Canada level, on top of the house/quarter pipe near the end of the
wooden walkway, there is a guy pissing. If you get close enough, you can hear
him say, "Wow. It freezes before it hits the water."

- submitted by Gerby, also for Canada: "The one on canda is if u go past the
cabin at the start and go to the little half pipe kinda thing you can see this
yellow in the snow if you use the right analog stick you can read what it
says. it says "Neversoft".

- in the Skater Island level, there are four gaps named after characters
the movie, Coyote Ugly. "The Boss Gap", "The Heartbreaker Gap", "The Law
Transfer", and "The Jersey Nun Gap".

- another gap in Skater Island is called "The Aaron C. Roll-in of Death Gap",
achieved by clearing the little rolling in the half pipe in the middle of the
level. As pointed out by several people, this ISN'T a reference to the pop kid
but instead to one of the employees of Neversoft, Aaron Cammarata.

- in the bowl of the ship in Skater Island's secret area, you can see a small
treasure room below the surface deck.

- there is a drunk bum in front of a liquor store by the car wash in the Los
Angeles level.

- "The gap in Los Angeles "Cold Chillin'" (by the bum) I think is named after
Krs-One and Boogie Down Production's (on the soundtrack) opposing record lable
"Cold Chillin'"." - Drew Stefani

- there's a Neversoft advertisement near the awnings on the Cruise Ship.

- "On the Cruise Ship Level, when you finish the level, leave the goal screen
on and wait. You will hear funniny different things from the cruise director
or captain. For instance, you can hear the captain having a little fun with
himself..." - arun singh

- the guy behind the counter in the skate shop reacts differently if you
select Secret Characters.

- "I was wondering if you knew that if you play as a secret character and you
stop right in front of some of the people that inhabit the boards, they do
things similar to the skate shop guy. Like for Wolvierine they get into a
fighting stance, and for Darth Maul, they start choking." - Aaron Perlstein

- Ollie the Magic Bum has the same sayings he had when you jumped over him in
THPS2 in THPS3's character selection screen.

- if you perform the Demoness's "AC Air" in regular stance without spinning or
holding the Circle button any longer, you will get 666 points every time

Thanks to CjayC for once again putting a guide I wrote up. (this guide
originally made for GameFAQs)

Thanks to PimpOil for submitting the list of unlockables as a code because I
