I. Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey, I’m JBKMDX. The reason I decided to make a Swordsman/Knight FAQ
for Ragnarok Online is for all Swordsman and Knights to find everything
they need in one guide without having to search over so many different
forums asking the same question without anyone answering them. Feel
free to email me any questions, comments, or criticism to:
JBKMDX@yahoo.com
AIM: JBKMDX
In RO, on the chaos server: JBKMDX
I will assume that you know a decent amount about RO(Ragnarok Online).
Because of that, this guide focuses on the Swordsman and Knight. If
you want to learn about the basics of RO, go take a look at Weggy’s
wonderful FAQ.
III. Swordie/Knight Stat Builds
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Intro to Swordie/Knight stats:

For all of you wondering what each stat does for the swordie/knight,
here it goes.

Strength (Str) - This stat raises your attack power, or how much damage
you hit the enemies. Also, it raises your weight, and the amount of
items that you can carry. This stat has bonuses for every 10th amount
that you either put into it, or get by job bonus levels. I took the
liberty of putting the individual min/max bonus damage you get on the
left column, and the actual total amount you get on the right. When I
say total amount, I mean the bonus at that level, plus all the previous
bonuses from the levels below it.

10 STR: +1 min/max damage
20 STR: +4 min/max damage (+5 total min/max damage)
30 STR: +5 min/max damage (+10 total min/max damage)
40 STR: +8 min/max damage (+18 total min/max damage)
50 STR: +10 min/max damage (+28 total min/max damage)
60 STR: +12 min/max damage (+40 total min/max damage)
70 STR: +13 min/max damage (+53 total min/max damage)
80 STR: +15 min/max damage (+68 total min/max damage)
90 STR: +17 min/max damage (+85 total min/max damage)
100 STR: +19 min/max damage (+104 total min/max damage)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agility (Agi) - One of two main defense stats for the Swordie/Knight.
This stat raises your dodging ability, which is great for one-on-one
fighting, and MVPing bosses like Orc Hero, Baphomet, etc. This skill
drops for each monster you are fighing at the same time. So, if you
had a 95% dodging rate against a Poison Spore, you would have a lower
amount when fighting 2 spores simultaneously. Also, this stat raises
your attack speed, which is how fast/often you swing your sword. There
are no bonuses for this stat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Vitality (Vit) - This is the other defensive stats. There are several
different things that this stat does for a swordie/knight. First, it
raises the amount of HP that your character has. Second, it lowers the
amount that enemies hit you for, which is 1 vit = 1 point less damage
taken from the enemy. Third, it raises the amount that your HP is
regenerated every second, and the amount that your HP Recovery skill
regenerates HP every 10 seconds.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Intelligence (Int) - Not all that useful for a swordie/knight. Most
people prefer to not even touch this skill. It raises your SP, and it
raises your Magic Defense (MDEF), even though no enemies use magic as
of yet, but probably will in the future. If you want to put ANY points
into Int at all, put 10-20 max.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dexterity (Dex) - Sure, with Str you can hit hard, but what good is it
if you can't hit anything? That's right, this stat raises your
accuracy, which helps you not miss, and hit enemies more often. Most
people raise Dex to around 30-40. You really shouldn't go much higher
than that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Luck (Luk) - Every 10 points of Luk = +1% critical and +1% perfect
dodge. You have to raise this skill in increments of 10, otherwise,
you are just wasting points.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

~Vitality Swordie/Knight~

The best at tanking (taking damage), but has the slowest attack speed.
He is designed to be able to take on multiple monsters at once, while
using hp recovery to recover his hp at the same time. Starting stats:
9 str, 1 agi, 5 vit, 1 int, 5 dex, 9 luk

Now for the vitality swordie stat guide. Please note, that these
values include the bonuses:

Str to 10
Vit to 10
Dex to 10
Vit to 50
Str to 20
Dex to 20
Vit to 60
Str to 30
Vit to 75
Str to 70
Dex to 40
Vit to 80
Str to 100
Vit to 100

Your final stats should look something like this:

Str 92+8
Agi 1+2
Vit 98+10
Int 1+0
Dex 34+6
Luk 1+4

Comments: Want more Vit? Equip 2 necklaces. Want more Dex? Equip 2
gloves. If you wanna put 10-20 points into Int, drop some vit and
adjust accordingly. The same goes if you want more dex.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

~Agility Swordie/Knight~

He is best suited for 1-on-1 fights. Because of his high flee,
monsters won’t be able to hit him. He has the fastest attack speed,
but, when fighting multiple monsters at once, for each additional
monster he fights, his dodge drops 10%. Starting stats: 9 str, 9 agi,
1 vit, 9 dex, 1 int, 1 luk

Now for the agility swordie stat guide. Please note that these values
include the bonuses:

Str to 10
Dex to 10
agi to 30
str to 20
dex to 20
Agi to 50
Dex to 25
Str to 70
Agi to 85
Dex to 40
Str to 100
Agi to 95

Your final stats should look something like this:

Str 92+8
Agi 98+2
Vit 1+10
Int 1+0
Dex 34+6
Luk 1+4

Comments: You can only have a maximum of 98 agility at level 99 with
these stats. You can lower dex to 35 and raise agi instead if you want.
Equip 2 brooches for more agi. Equip 2 gloves for more dex. It's your
choice. If you wanna put 10-20 points into Int, drop some vit and
adjust accordingly. The same goes if you want more dex.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

~Hybrid Vit/Agi Swordie/Knight~

Not as good as he once was, although still good.Starting stats: 9 str,
9 agi, 5 vit, 1 int, 5 dex, 1 luk

Now for the hybrid swordie stat guide. Please note, that these
values include the bonuses:

Str to 10
Dex to 15
Vit to 50
Agi to 30
Str to 20
Dex to 20
Vit to 60
Str to 30
Int to 10
Luk to 3
Dex to 40
Str to 70
Agi to 50
Str to 100
Vit to 80

Your final stats should look something like this:

Str 92+8
Agi 48+2
Vit 78+10
Int 10+0
Dex 34+6
Luk 3+4

Comments: Brooch, necklace, glove. Take your pick. Tweak the stats
as you see fit of course. There was only 4 leftover points, so I just
threw them into luk. I put 10 points into Int for more SP. Take them
out if you don't want them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

~Hybrid Agi/Vit Swordie/Knight~

Like the other Hybrid, but with more agi. This build seems to be the
way to go nowadays. Starting stats: 9 str, 9 agi, 5 vit, 1 int, 5
dex, 1 luk

Str to 10
Dex to 15
Vit to 30
Agi to 50
Str to 30
Dex to 30
Agi to 70
Str to 50
Agi to 90
Dex to 40
Str to 100

Your final stats should look something like this:

Str 92+8
Agi 89+2
Vit 30+10
Int 1+0
Dex 34+6
Luk 6+4

Comments: Brooch, necklace, glove. Take your pick. Again, tweak the
stats as you see fit. A little different with this build. I put 6
points into luk and with 4 it gets the bonus to criticals. None in Int
this time.

IV. Swordie Skills
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Handed Sword Mastery (Passive)
Increases attack damage when using 1 handed swords
Level 1 : attack +5
Level 2 : attack +10
Level 3 : attack +15
Level 4 : attack +20
Level 5 : attack +25
Level 6 : attack +30
Level 7 : attack +35
Level 8 : attack +40
Level 9 : attack +45
Level 10 : attack +50
Comments: If you're going to be using 2 handed swords as a Knight,
then leave this at level 1. However, if you like the extra defense
instead of attack, use this. You will need to raise 2 handed sword
mastery to level 5 if you want to use counter attack, so plan your
skills carefully.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Handed Sword Mastery (Passive)
Increases attack damage when using 2 handed swords
Prerequisites: 1 Handed Sword Mastery - Level 1
Level 1 : attack +5
Level 2 : attack +10
Level 5 : attack +25
Level 6 : attack +30
Level 7 : attack +35
Level 8 : attack +40
Level 9 : attack +45
Level 10 : attack +50
Comment: You'll need to raise this skill to level 5 to use counter
attack. If you want to use the 2 handed skills for the Knight, be sure
and max this.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
HP Recovery (Passive)
Increases the speed of HP recovery when sitting or standing still.
Level 1 : (Max HP/500)+ 5 HP per 10 seconds (healing items+ 10%)
Level 2 : (Max HP/450)+10 HP per 10 seconds (healing items+ 20%)
Level 5 : (Max HP/300)+25 HP per 10 seconds (healing items+ 50%)
Level 10 : (Max HP/50) +50 HP per 10 seconds (healing items+ 100%)
Comments: This is a must have skill for every swordie. Max this skill
out first. It raises the amount your HP regenerates every 10 seconds,
plus, it raises the effectiveness of all healing items.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bash (Active)
Flashy attack skill
Level 1 : 133% damage ( SP required: 8 )
Level 2 : 166% damage ( SP required: 8 )
Level 3 : 200% damage ( SP required: 8 )
Level 4 : 233% damage ( SP required: 8 )
Level 8 : 366% damage ( SP required: 15 )
Level 9 : 400% damage ( SP required: 15 )
Level 10 : 433% damage ( SP required: 15 )
Comments: Get a level 5 bash at first, since the SP requirements jump
from 8 to 15 SP at level 6. At low levels, 15 SP is a lot to spend,
and you will only be able to use it a couple of times. Later on, when
you get a higher SP around 70 to 90, you should max this skill out.
Also, the damage fluctuates when using this skill, so don't count on it
always doing the damage percent shown. You must max this skill out to
meet one requirement for bowling bash.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Magnum Break (Active)
A powerful fire element explosion which damages & repels everything
within a 3 tile radius.
SP required: 15
Level 1 : 20 Hp used, 115% of attack
Level 8 : 17 Hp used, 220% of attack
Level 9 : 16 Hp used, 235% of attack
Level 10 : 16 Hp used, 250% of attack
Comments: A great skill for mobs...until you get bowling bash with the
knight that is. This skill will knock enemies back. You must raise
this to level 3 to meet one of the requirements for bowling bash.
This is is fire elemental skill, so the damage will fluctuate
depending on the enemy's relation to the fire elemental.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Provoke (Active)
Reduces selected target's defense and raises attack
SP required: 10 (for all Levels)
Period of effect: 30 seconds
Level 6 : Target's attack + 12% defense - 36%
Level 7 : Target's attack + 14% defense - 42%
Level 8 : Target's attack + 16% defense - 48%
Level 9 : Target's attack + 18% defense - 54%
Level 10 : Target's attack + 20% defense - 60%
Comments: Not a very useful skill, you need this skill at level 5 to
get endure and to use bowling bash.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Endure (Active)
Prevents you from flinching when hit. Good for escaping mobs.
Prerequisites: Provoke - Level 5
SP required: 10
Comments: You need at least a level 1 endure to meet another
requirement for bowling bash.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
V. Knight Skills
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 Handed Quicken (Active)
Doubles your attack speed for fixed amount of time. Only useable with
2 handed swords.
Level 4 : 30 seconds
Level 5 : 35 seconds
Level 6 : 40 seconds
Level 7 : 45 seconds
Level 8 : 50 seconds
Level 5 : 1.5 seconds
Comments: Wanna MVP bosses easily? Max this skill. Activate this
MVPing bosses will be a piece of cake. You will need to max this skill
to be able to use bowling bash anyways.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bowling Bash (Active)
Knocks an enemy back into nearby enemies causing damage to all the
enemies.
Prerequisites: 2 Handed Sword Mastery - Level 5, Bash - Level 10,
Level 6 : 400% Damage
Level 7 : 450% Damage
Level 8 : 500% Damage
Level 9 : 550% Damage
Level 10 : 600% Damage
Comments: Like magnum break and bash? Get this skill. You can do
INSANE amounts of damage with it. Excellent for mobs.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PecoPeco Riding (Passive)
Ride a tamed PecoPeco.
Prerequisites: Endure - Level 1
Level 1 : Allows you to ride a tamed PecoPeco
Comments: Good for getting you somewhere fast. If you're getting this
make sure and max cavalier mastery or else you'll hit at only 50% of
your regular attack speed on the PecoPeco than you would without it.
Also, you'll only hit for 100% damage on medium enemies on the PecoPeco
with a spear.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cavalier Mastery (Passive)
Increases your attack speed while riding a PecoPeco
Prerequisites: PecoPeco Riding - Level 1
Level 2 : 70% of your regular attack speed
Level 3 : 80% of your regular attack speed
Level 4 : 90% of your regular attack speed
Level 9 : attack +45 (On a PecoPeco - +45)
Level 10 : attack +50 (On a PecoPeco - +50)
Comments: A must-have when using a spear. Max it if you plan on using
spears at all as a knight.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pierce (Active)
Uses your spear to stab through an enemy. Small - 1 hit, Medium - 2
hits, Large - 3 hits.
Prerequisites: Spear Mastery - Level 1
Level 10 : 200% Damage
Comments: Depending on your level, and what size enemy you're fighting
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brandish Spear (Active)
While on a PecoPeco, you swing your spear around in a wide angle,
damaging all enemies in a radius.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~1 Handed Sword Swordie~
Switches to Knight at Job Level 40
HP Recovery to level 10
Bash to level 5
1H sword mastery to level 10
Magnum Break to level 3
Bash to level 10
Provoke to level 5
Endure to level 1
Comments: Unless you're going to be a spear Knight, it doesn't make
much sense to go with 1 handed swords. Pretty much the standard skills
here besides the sword mastery. You will still have the option of
being a 2 Handed Knight user, however, since if you max out all the
Knight's 2 Handed skills, you have 17 points left over. If you want to
be able to use counter attack as a spear Knight, you're going to have
to sacrifice 5 points somewhere for 2 handed sword mastery and the only
place you can do that is from 1 handed sword mastery.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~1 Handed Sword Swordie~
Switches to Knight at Job Level 50
HP Recovery to level 10
Bash to level 1
1 Handed Sword Mastery to level 10
Bash to level 5
Magnum Break to level 3
Bash to level 10
Provoke to level 5
Endure to level 1
Choice between increasing Magnum Break, Provoke and Endure. Can also
choose to max 2 Handed Sword Mastery.
Comments: Pretty much like the job level 40 1 Handed swordie. However,
this gives you the option of maxing out 2 Handed Sword Mastery if you
want to, or maxing the other 3 skills: Magnum Break, Endure, and
Provoke. You will still have the option of being a 2 Handed Knight
user, however, since if you max out all the Knight's 2 Handed skills,
you have 17 points left over. If you want to be able to use counter
attack as a spear Knight, you're going to have to raise 2 handed sword
mastery to level 5.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~2 Handed Sword Swordie~
Switches to Knight at Job Level 40
HP recovery to level 10
Bash to level to level 1
1 Handed Sword Mastery to level 1
2 Handed Sword Mastery to level 10
Bash to level 5
Magnum Break to level 3
Bash to level 9
Provoke to level 5
Endure to level 1
Comments: This leaves you with a level 9 bash, which you will max when
you convert to a Knight. You can either have a level 9 bash or you can
have a level 2 magnum break, it's up to you.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~2 Handed Sword Swordie~
Switches to Knight at Job Level 50~
HP recovery to level 10
Bash to level to level 1
1 Handed Sword Mastery to level 1
2 Handed Sword Mastery to level 10
Bash to level 5
Magnum Break to level 3
Bash to level 10
Provoke to level 5
Endure to level 1
Choice between increasing Magnum Break, Provoke and Endure. Can also
choose to max 1 Handed Sword Mastery.
Comments: Again, this is close to the job level 40 2 Handed swordie,
but with the option of maxing out 1 Handed Sword Mastery, or raising
the other 3 skills: Magnum Break, Endure, and Provoke.
VII. Knight Skill Builds
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Knight Job Level Builds:

Job level 1: 1 VIT
Job level 3: 2 VIT (2 Vit bonus total)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

~Spear Knight~

Counter Attack to 5
Brandinsh spear to 10
Cavalier mastery to 5
Pierce to 10
Peco riding to 1
Spear boomerang to 5
Spear mastery to 10
Spear stab to 3

Comments: You can use this build for any of your previous swordie
builds, however, you need 2 Handed Sword Mastery at level 5 to even
think about using counter attack. If you don't want to sacrifice some
of your other spear skills to get counter attack, just skip it and put
the points into endure, or any of your other swordie skills.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

~2 Handed Knight~

Bash to 10, or Magnum Break to 3 (depending on which you rose)
2 Handed Quicken to 10
Counter Attack to 5
Bowling Bash to 10
PecoPeco Riding to 1
Cavalier Mastery to 5

Comments: This build leaves you 17 points to do with what you please.
You can try out some of the Knight's spear skills, or you can raise
some of the other swordie's skills such as Endure, Magnum Break, or
Provoke.

VIII. Equipment for Swordie/Knight
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~1 Handed Swordie~
Weapon - Sword - Blade - Tsurugi (or Ring Pommel Saber) -
- Flamberge
Shield - Guard - Shield
Head (Upper) - Hat - Helm
Head (Middle) - (This is completely your choice)
Head (Lower) - (This is completely your choice)
Body (Armor) - Adventurer's Suit - (Padded Armor is optional) -
- Full Plate Mail
Robe - Hood - Manteau
Feet (Shoes) - Sandals - Boots
Comments: As you can see, you have some options depending on what
kind of weapon you want. You can either use the RPS, or Tsurugi. The
Middle and Lower Head equipment is pretty much your choice. You can
choose from the Fin Helm or Purple Glasses for the Middle Head, and you
can choose from the Cigar or Iron Cain for the Lower Head. These are
only suggestions though. You also have the option of buying or finding
the Padded Armor. Steel ChonChons drop these, although not very much,
but you can try killing them when you're able to in order to find them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~Spear Swordie/Knight~
Weapon - Spear - Pike - Partizan (optional) - Lance
Shield - Guard (not needed for long)
Head (Upper) - Hat - Helm
Head (Middle) - (This is completely your choice)
Head (Lower) - (This is completely your choice)
Body (Armor) - Adventurer's Suit - (Padded Armor is optional) -
- Full Plate Mail
Robe - Hood - Manteau
Feet (Shoes) - Sandals - Boots
Comments: The main reason I put this here was in case you wanted to
only use spears instead of 1 handed swords as a swordie (which you
really shouldn't do). If you've just become a Knight, you should have
more than enough money to get the Lance, if you can't, go to Geffen
Dungeon Level 1 and kill lots of Poison Spores.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~2 Handed Swordie/Knight~
Weapon - Sword - Blade - Bastard Sword (or Two Handed Sword if
- you are rich) - Claymore (when you become a Knight)
Shield - Guard (until you can afford to buy a 2 Handed Sword)
Head (Upper) - Hat - Helm
Head (Middle) - (This is completely your choice)
Head (Lower) - (This is completely your choice)
Body (Armor) - Adventurer's Suit - (Padded Armor is optional) -
- Full Plate Mail
Robe - Hood - Manteau
Feet (Shoes) - Sandals - Boots
Comments: If you can afford to purchase oridecons which around around
500k, don't bother getting the Two Handed Sword. The Bastard Sword is
very cheap to upgrade, and will be stronger at +6 than the Two Handed
Sword is without its expensive upgrades. The Claymore is the best
sword for the Knights to use, but the upgrades are extrememly expensive
to get. I still highly recommend that you use this sword unless you
have some good elemental weapons to use instead.The Middle and Lower
Head equipment is pretty much your choice. You can choose from the Fin
Helm or Purple Glasses for the Middle Head, and you can choose from
the Cigar or Iron Cain for the Lower Head. These are only suggestions
though. You also have the option of buying or finding the Padded
Armor. Steel ChonChons drop these, although not very much, but you
can try killing them when you're able to in order to find them.
IX. Where to Level
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is a rough guide to leveling up. You may want to stay and level
in some places longer than others.

1-10: Geffen field. East of Geffen city, mass amounts of monsters to
kill but may lag at times. Job change to swordsman.Go one screen
west of prontera and kill porings. Basically, anywhere one
screen from any city. Porings, Fabres, Lunatics, Roda Frogs,
Pupas, ChonChons, Willows, Condors, Pickies, and PecoPeco Eggs
are recommended.

10-20: Rocker Field. Kill Rockers until lvl 15 when you are able to
kill Hornets as well. Or, you can go one screen West and one
screen south of Prontera. There are also Rockers there too.
Pickies, Rockers, Mandragoras, Desert Wolf Puppies, and Savages
are Recommended.

10-20: Culvert level 1,2,3. Kill everything, but watch out for the
farmiliars, they are tough unless you have a decent weapon like
a blade, and are at a good enough level to fight them. This
place is also geared more towards the Vit Swordie than the Agi
Swordie since whenever you hit a thief bug, or a female thief
bug, all the thief bugs of that kind attack you. Level 2 has
the highest spawn rate. In Culvert you will want to kill most
everything. Tarou, Thief Bug Egg, Farmiliars, Thief Bug,
Female Thief Bugs. Level 3 is recommended for those with
low Vit and Armor.

20-30: Culvert level 2,3. This place will give you good experience
until around level 32. You can choose to stay here if you can
last. Highly recommended for Vit Swordies. You will want to
limit yourself to the kinds of monsters you fight this time.
Stick with fighting lots of mobs of thief bugs and female thief
bugs. Culvert level 2 is recommended for faster leveling.

20-30: Bibilan Level 1, Payon Level 1, Desert Area. This is an
alternative to Culvert. In Bibilan Level 1 kill everything,
but watch out for the Jellyfish. In Payon Level 1 you kill
zombies, poporings, and familiars, but make sure and bring pots.
It will be difficult at first, but you will need less and less
as time goes on. You can also try the desert area fighting
monsters like PecoPecos, Snakes, Boas, Wolves, etc. Other
monsters to kill are Spores, Ambernites, Rockers, Hornets, and
Mandragoras.

30-40: Horn Forest, Smokie Forest. Exit out of Prontera at the North
End. Go West West North. In here are Cocos, Ambernites, and
Horns. You may want to hold off on killing the Horns until
around 35. Also, if you want an alternative to that, Exit out
of the West side of Prontera, and go West West South. Here
you will fight Poporings, Cocos, and Smokies. Other monsters
recommended are Golems, Metallers, Stainers, Savages, and
Elder Willows.

40-60: Bibilan level 2. Tons of monsters to kill there. There are a
lot of bots here, so be careful. Decent spawn rate. This
area is recommended for Agi swordies, as it is much harder for
them to survive in Geffen level 1. Other monsters to try are
Savages, Floras, Elder Willows, Argos, Caramels, and Big
Foots. You may want to hold off fighting Caramels and Big
Foots until you are level 50-60 and/or a Knight. Agi Swordies
will find it much easier to fight them earlier on than the
Vit Swordies will.

40-60: Geffen level 1. Poison spores, dustinesses, and poporings are
Recommended. Extremely high spawn rate with lots of mobs.
Agi swordies may want to avoid this area until they have a
sufficent amount of agility and/or lots of zeny for pots. At
first, you're gonna HAVE to bring pots. As many as you can
hold. If Vit swordies pump Vit to around 60 though, they
should be fine. Agi swordies will have a MUCH harder time.
With little to no Vit, it's not recommended that they level up
here. You can try and start leveling here at 30, but I doubt
you will last very long. This will still be a good place to
level even when you first become a Knight. You'll want to
raise your job level to around 20 first. Then you can move
onto the harder dungeons.

40-50: You may want to try Orc Forest instead. Kill lots of Orcs
there. Be sure and bring some potions when you first level up
here, as the Orcs are aggressive, and tend to mob you at times.
Stay away from Orc Hero and brings lots of pots.

50-60: Orc Dungeon works pretty well for levels 50-60. Harder than
Orc Forest/Village, but better experience as well. You can
also try killing Floras, Argos, Caramels, Big Foots, and
Sohees as well. At levels 60-70 you can try killing Zenorcs.

40-55: Payon level 2 is a decent place. Kill the archer and soldier
skeletons. It will be hard at first, so you may want to either
bring lots of potions, or come back at a later level when
you are stronger. But, the earlier you level here, the better
the experience, as is with every leveling place.

40-50: Sunken Ship. Lots of pirate skeletons here to kill. They are
aggressive of course, so make sure and stay out of the death
rooms, and as usual, bring lots of potions at first.

50-60: Payon level 3. Munaks, archer and soldier skeletons, and elder
willows to kill. Good spawn rate. Make sure and bring potions
when you first level up here, as these are some tough monsters,
most of which are aggressive.

55-70: Bibilan level 3,4. You may want to hold off until level 60
depending on your level though. Argiopes and Sohees will work
pretty well for levels 60-70.

60-70: Pyramids Level 2,3. You can try your luck here now. Depending
on your build though, you may need to bring a party with you.
Other places to level up include the Sphinx Dungeon, Payon 3-4,
Bibilan 3, and Coal Mines 2-3.

70-80+:Pyramids level 4, Geffen Level 3, Sphinx 3. It's up to you
which place you want to level at. You can also try places like
the hidden temple. Payon level 5, Pyramids Level 5, or any of
the other upper level dungeons.
