This FAQ assumes you know a little Japanese, but if you don't then I suggest
you have a handy dictionary by your side when playing this game. Knowing
certain Chinese characters would help very much. And if you know all the
Kanji, then you won't be needing this Guide anymore.

This game is much like the old one, except that there are new additional
features like the tension system. everytime you kill an enemy, you gain
MP, the closer your MP being full, the more damage your attack will give out.

There is also a new menu, Campaign mode. you get to play a campaign from
G Gundam to Gundam X. You can also view the movies from the first GGeneration
game as long as you have the save file in your memory card.

=============================================================================
II. Things you should know
=============================================================================
The control are just the same. The pilot has a new stats. Now they have
a close range attack and a long range attack. Now the active area is
determined by the leader level of te captain. There is also the tension
system, where each attack will determine how much MP you'll ragain or lose.
the higher you tension is, the more chances that your attack will be
critical.
Some of the menu are english so it is pretty easy to understand what they do.
At the main menu, choose start game or data load. Start game lets you start
the game from scratch. data load lets you go to another menu.
Situation mode, campaign mode, options, Situation mode is where the game
really is. Campaign mode lets you play the stages of alternate Gundams,
however, you don't get to keep any units. Game continue lets you continue
the game you saved at the map. It costs an additional 9 blocks.

You can only add units to your factory either by linking units or making
your unit an ACE. you also need to have space in your factory for this.
after the stage is finished, you can keep captured unit, exchange the levels
of your guest unit for additional credits, or develop your units.
Exchanging levels means that if your guest units levels up, you can exchange
that level for money. example if Amuro levels up from rank D to rank C, you
get additional credits after the stage.
After you finish a stage, these are the command and what they do.

Capture Units - if you captured enemy units, you may decide to keep it or
the unit for additional money. to capture enemy units, make
sure that their mothership is destroyed. after that, there
will be a white shield beside the unit. this means you can
retrieve that unit. you can only retrieve units if the
mothership has enough space and that unit should be inside
the active area of the ship that is doing the capture.
Scout - when you start a stage, see if there are pilots whose suits have
different color, usually blue. If that unit survives the stage,
you can keep that pilot. This option allows you to rename your pilot.
Exchange - As explained above, if your guest units gained a rank, you can
exchange them for money.
Unit development - Lets you Link units to create a new unit, or convert, to
add ACE units to your factory. you can add the MS of
the guest unit, provided that unit is ACE.
Factory - Lets you delete some of the units listed in your factory
Profile - See how much units you have uncovered and how many characters have
been revealed.
Next stage - Continue to next stage and lets you save your game. 3 blocks.

When you kill an enemy unit, you gain an extra step. This is very useful
since you can wipeout an entire enemy fleet in just one turn. Only MS unit
can have an extra step. Mothership does not have this benefit.

The tension level affects your magic. the higher your tension level, the
more damage your attack will gain. If your attack connects and you evade
your opponents attack, your MP raises by 10 points. if you miss and did not
evade the opponents attack you lose 30 points. every kill raises you MP by
30 points. If you MP is full, almost all your attacks will be critical.
The level works like this-

[MP 0]-[weak spirit]-[normal]-[strong spirit]-[super strong spirit] (full MP)

The lower your MP, your evasion percentage raises, but you attack power
decrease. However, the higher your MP, the stronger your attack, but your
evasion percentage lowers. if your MP reaches 0, you cannot attack or
counter attack.

Characters have also new stat in this game. their uses is explained later
on this FAQ.

There is also a new option for your units. when one of your units is an
ACE, you can decide whether to change its model or customize it. Change
model is... well, change model! customize lets you add 2 points for the
units UA and UD. However, you can't change it's model any longer. advisable
for units that cannot change model like the Kempher.

One thing about customizing your units, you don't need to finish the stage
to distribute points. When the customized unit levels up, you get to
give the points on the spot.

The more you upgrade your guarder (those four things around your base), the
more space your factory has. each upgrade adds 4 slots for your factory
as well as one rental soldier and additional support units.

You can rent other soldiers like Amuro Ray, provided that you clear their
series. but sometimes, there are instances where you cannot rent certain
characters at certain series, like Amuro and Char at Z Gundam because they
are present during these series. Don't ask me why you can rent Bright Noah
at Z Gundam even though he's present at that series. must be a glitch.

The Stage map tells you how many mothership you can deploy, and tells
you whether there is a Quest Movie or an Event Movie. You can view the map
and see what unit will be on the next stage. Blue dots mean guest units,
Red dot means enemy units. green dots mean additional units, either friend
or foe. white dot means you can deploy your mother ship in this particular
point. If you did not place your units at the white dots, you have to
finish that stage with the guest units. Sometimes, your base is not present
at the map.

In case you haven't play the previous game, motherships have additional
commands beside from move, attack and launch units. Scatter (don't know
how its read in Kanji, 2 kanji) scatters minovsky particle, creates rings
around your mothership and reduces the accuracy of enemy units. And
Beam Confusion (3 kanji, don't know how it's read either) scatters particles
and protects your units from beam attacks. retrieve (2 kanji, available
if there are abandoned enemy units (units with white shield beside it),
which lets you capture enemy units. change map to front and change map to
back, (2 kanji, both commands available if there are multiple maps) to move
to another map, unless there is an exit you have to move to.

VI. Pilot List
=============================================================================
I will try to list the max stat of the Pilots and their NTL is possible
some of the pilots you scout are from the previous game. there are also
new pilots you can gain.
CA = close range attack LA = Long range attack
EV = Evasion LD = Leadership
GU = Guest level OP = Operator level
DR = Driver level GU = Mechanic level
MC = NTL if Mind Controled
Leadership determines the active area for your team. Guest level, somehow,
it affects the active area for your units. Operator level
determines how good the motherships attack can connect. Driver level
determines how good the mothership at evasion. Mechanic level determines how
much HP and EN is restored to your units inside the mothership.
If you mind control your pilots, which gives them NTL, their experience bar
will double thus making it twice harder to gain their levels.
Now the pilots also have their own voices. it only appears when you
use the right weapon like a newtype using psycommu weapons or Zephere using
a beam saber.

VII. Credits
=============================================================================
Alvin Garcia (alvin@sailorsoldier.zzn.com) for telling me where I could get
the copy of G-Zero.
My friends at College for influencing me a game of starcraft, at a time
we are doing our thesis, thus making this FAQ delayed many, many,
many times.
Duo Maxwell (F_91@yahoo.com) for the names of some of the units.
