Welcome to my Merchant FAQ for KAL Online. I find it very annoying having to
teleport to a different village to check out the merchants, so I decided to
make a list of the things the merchants sells, both for my references and your
convenience.
NOTE: These prices are based on the server "Naraeha". If you are playing on
server Hanin, the goods for each merchant are exactly the same, only the price
is a little cheaper. 5% cheaper to be exact.
If you want to e-mail me, please make sure you have something important to say,
otherwise I won't respond.
- The very first version of the FAQ!
- Basic weapon and armor lists for merchants in the first 4 villages.
- Open for additions and suggestions.
5/17/06 - Version 2.0
- Added the Food Merchants and some of the regular Merchants.
- Added the Chemist of Speed-up medicine.
- Wrote a small excerpt on fishing.
- Whoops, Temp fort does NOT have a mistress.
5/21/06 - Version 3.0
- Forgot the merchant at the Geum-Oh mines.
- Added questions.
- Did some more exploration. Found out Temp Fort has Mistress and Chemist.
- Geum-Oh Mines have a Mistress too!
- Super Cheats can now use this FAQ!!

H. Chemist of Speed-up Medicine
I love this guy the best, since you can make big money (55k-60k) by selling
Speed-up Medicine. You need 3 ingredients:
- Demon Blood: Dropped by any demon when you kill it.
- Bamboo Keg: Bought at Merchant for 98 geons.
- Sea Bream: Only found by fishing or from other players.
How do you fish? Refer to the FAQ section.
With those 3 ingredients, you make a Sea Bream with Blood.

J. Chemist of Speed-up Medicine
This NPC is very important. You can make big money (55k-60k) by selling Speed-
up Medicine. You need 3 ingredients:
- Demon Blood: Dropped by any demon when you kill it. (or bought from others)
- Bamboo Keg: Bought at Merchant for 98 geons.
- Sea Bream: Only found by fishing or from other players.
How do you fish? Refer to the FAQ section.
With those 3 ingredients, you make a Sea Bream with Blood.
Use Sea Bream with Blood to make Speed-up Medicine
Q. What is the highest grade weapon you can buy from the NPC?
A. Grade 40, sold by merchants in the Temporary Fort of Geum-Ohee Castle, for
around 160k.
Q. What is the highest grade of armor you can buy from the NPC?
A. Grade 42, and again, you can find these merchants at the Temporary Fort of
Geum-Ohee Castle.
Q. Why is the English so terrible in this game?
A. My guess is that this entire game was put through some translator, so the
Korean to English translation may not be too clear.
Q. This game has so many typos! Why is that?
A. Here, I will list some typos I have encountered.
1. The mistress who cooks for you, in the recipe, it says that you need 1
salmon and 500 geon to make baked eel. Don't get too excited, it's a typo and
salmon is suppose to be replaced with eel.
2. In one of the quests where you are suppose to collect rice bags, the
quest says that you need 5. However, you only need to find 2.
Q. How do I fish?
First, buy several fish traps from a merchant. Then, talk to the fishing
grounds NPC and ask him to take you to an island for fishing. Talk to the
fishing NPC at the islands and ask him to set up the fish trap. Now you will
fish for as long as you want, so you can leave the computer and do other things.
Every time the bar reaches 100%, you get 1 fish. You can get Goby, Mackerel,
Salmon, Sea Bream, and eel.
Q. How do I get G29 weapons?!
A. They are drops only. I've gotten G29 weapons from fighting Demon Mad Knights.
