A traditional lap-style course. Finish first, and leave your competitors
driving in circles.
**Drag**
A pedal-mashing, speed-shifting race to the finish line.
**Lap Knockout**
Race laps around a track. At the end of each lap the driver in last place is
eliminated. The driver in first place at the end of the last lap wins.
**Speedtrap**
There are speed traps posted all over the city. Blow through each as fast as
possible. Earn the highest cumuletive score and you're the winner.
**Sprint**
Find out how fast you can get from point A to point B.
**Tollbooth**
Smack your way through as many tollbooth checkpoints as you can. As the race
progresses, the allotted time you have to hit the next checkpoint decreases.
If you hit a checkpoint with time to spare you get a bonus.
The easiest of all heat levels. Police drive Crown Victorias and travel in
groups of 5. They pretty much just chase you. You can easily out run these
guys.
**Heat Level 2**
Driving Undercover Crown Victorias, these police officers throw normal and
rolling road blocks at you.
**Heat Level 3**
Now it starts to get a little tougher. These guys drive Pontiac GTOs and send
Rhinos to ram you head on.
**Heat Level 4**
It gets a lot tougher at this stage. Driving Undercover Pontiac GTOs, in packs
of 20, these guys start to send out helicopters to chase you. As long as
you're in its line of sight you can't esacpe. The roadblocks are also upgraded
with spike strips.
**Heat Level 5**
This is where it gets fun. All the cops are driving Chevrolet Corvettes and
throw everything at you. Bigger roadbloacks, more spikestrips, more Rhinos,
and the helicopters even try to hit your car now.

Ride: VW Golf GTI
Strength: Circuit races
Bio: This here is Sonny. He's dumped a whole lot of cash into his car.
That ride is worked so don't be fooled, it's a rocket. He does
anything he can to get a hold of parts before they hit the streets.
This is a pretty easy race, my only tip(not that you need it) is do not take
the shortcuts. The first two are off-road and slow you down more than
anything. The second is right after you exit the highway. It takes you down
an alley that cuts through a large corner. Take this shortcut if you want, I
just choose not to since it really doesn't help very much.
2. Type: Sprint
Track: Diamond & Union
Reward: $1,500
Cop Probability: Maximum
Distance: 3.5 Miles
At around 15% there is a shortcut and the left, though it is such a tight
squeeze, I wouldn't recommend taking it.(Even though I did. :P) I didn't see
any cops until about 58%.
Note: I did all the Milestones in the pursuit after this race, so you might
want to jump down to the "Milestones" section if you want to do the same.
3. Type: Lap Knockout
Track: Hickley Field
Reward: $1,500
Cop Probability: Minimum
Distance: 5.1 Miles (3 Laps)
A very easy race, the only tip I have is watch out for traffic around the
corners and you should win this one with ease.
**Milestones** [B.01.03]
You can do the first three Milestones in the same pursuit. Just tap two police
vehicles and wait until the two minutes are up, then evade before four minutes
passes.
1. Type: Trade Paint
Bounty: $5,000
Objective: Evade the police pursuit and tag a minimum of 2 police
vehicles to successfully complete this challenge.
3. Type: Pursuit Time Challenge
Bounty: $5,000
Objective: Get into a police pursuit lasting at least 2 minutes. You will
need to evade the pursuit to successfully complete this challenge.
This race is pretty straight forward, no shortcuts or anything like that. One
thing you do need to know about is when on the switchback around the Rosewood
College Hospital, DO NOT go up onto the high sidewalk. It will make you lose
control and you may even flip up on your side if you're going to fast. -_- I
almost lost the race due to this. The sad part is I knew about this.
Bio: This crazy fool is a major heat score. Blacklist gave him the
name 'Taz'. He hates cops and they hate him. Watch yourself around
this guy. He prowls the streets of Rosewood looking for newbies.
Try to break away from your rivals, they gave me some problems throughout the
race(mostly due to the fact the only upgrade I had was my engine). Just stick
to the main route and you should win the race.
3. Type: Sprint
Track: Clubhouse & Hollis
Reward: $2,000
Cop Probability: Maximum
Distance: 3.7 Miles
There are a lot of sharp turns in this race, so be prepared to use
speedbreaker, having some upgrades wouldn't hurt either. Again when going
the switchback around the Rosewood College Hospital, DO NOT go up onto the
high sidewalk. It will make you lose control and you may even flip up on your
side if you're going to fast. I didn't see and cops until about 80%. If you
engage in pursuit you can jump down to the Milestones section and get a few
of them done after the race.
4. Type: Lap Knockout
Track: Rosewood College
Reward: $2,000
Cop Probability: Minimum
Distance: 7.4 Miles (3 Laps)
Another straight forward race. It really doesn't matter which side of the road
you take when the lanes split. I usually take the left then switch over to the
right in the tunnel for some reason. Take whichever one you want. Use
speedbreaker around the sharp turn to avoid hitting a lot of stuff.
**Milestones** [B.02.03]
Again you can do the first three Milestones in one pursuit. Just drive like a
mad man and hit everything you see and you should complete them all very
quickly.
1. Type: Bounty
Bounty: $6,000
Objective: Get 1,000 bounty in a single pursuit. Once done, evade the
pursuit.
2. Type: Cost to State Challenge
Bounty: $6,000
Objective: Evade the police pursuit with a cost to state of $15,000 to
successfully complete this challenge.
The only short cuts you might want to take is the one right behind the
water park. Though it's kind of tight and may cause you to lose speed if you
lose control. Right after the water park you'll see a parking lot you can cut
through. Do not go through it, it'll make the upcoming turn very hard to make
without losing speed.
Bio: This dude's been holding it down in the #13 slot for a while
now. He can't break out of his rut and no one can run him out. He's
slack and dangerous but knows how to handle his ride. He'll smoke you
if he gets the chance.
No shortcuts that you want to take in this race. At about 70% the road will
split and you will want to take the right road since it's slightly faster. I
didn't even know cops were in this race until about 97%. If you engage in a
pursuit jump down to the Milestones section to get a few of them done.
2. Type: Lap Knockout
Track: City Center
Reward: $2,500
Cop Probability: Minimum
Distance: 4.8 Miles (3 Laps)
This is a small track that has a few corner cutting shortcuts that you should
take. The only one you want to avoid is the one right before the last turn. It
makes it harder to make the turn. On the last turn watch out for the trees. :P
3. Type: Lap Knockout
Track: Rosewood Drive
Reward: $2,500
Cop Probability: Minimum
Distance: 10.2 Miles (3 Laps)
Most of this race is wide open. Again just save your nitrous until right
before the traps.
**Milestones** [B.03.03]
Again you can do the first three in one pursuit. Just ram every police car
you can and drive like crazy. Evade the pursuit in less than 4 minutes and
you're done.
1. Type: Trade Paint
Bounty: $11,000
Objective: Evade the police pursuit and tag a minimum of 4 police vehicles
to successfully complete this challenge.
The first 1/3 of the race has quite a few turns. After that it's pretty
straight and gives you a chance to really pull away from Vic. Use the off road
shortcut near 50%.
2. Type: Sprint
Track: Heritage & Campus
Distance: 3.6 Miles
There is a hairpin turn right at the beginning of the race. Try to get ahead
of Vic before the turn so he doesn't cause you problems. At 40% there will be
a 90º turn. Use speedbreaker and hit the turn hard(there is no other way to do
it) Don't cut through the parking lot following the 90º turn since it'll just
make the upcoming turn harder. Slow down and avoid the high sidewalk around
the hospital. Take the parking lot shortcut on your right before the college
circle.
Bio: Izzy is definitely a chick you don't want to mess with. She knows
everything there is about cars, on and off the road. She's got her
ride wired tight. She comes from a long line of race fanatics.
Everybody she runs with is either a cousin, friend or uncle. They all
stick close so don't get on her bad side.
First: 1.2 Miles(25%) in 0:50
Second: 1.2 Miles(51%) in 0:40
Third: 0.7 Miles(66%) in 0:35
Fourth: 1.7 Miles(100%) in 0:50
Just after the first tollbooth there is a shortcut on your left that cuts
through the corner. After the second tollbooth you'll start seeing a lot of
off road shortcuts. Most of them cost you more time than anything so just
stick to the main road. I didn't see any cops until about 60%. If you engage
in pursuit skip down to the Milestones section to get a few of them done.
3. Type: Tollbooth
Track: North Bay & Chase
Reward: $3,000
Cop Probability: Minimum
Distance: 4.7 Miles
Try to get a perfect launch at the beginning and avoid hitting your opponents
since the first trap isn't far from the beginning. Right after trap 2 there is
a 90º turn and then there is a parking lot you can cut through. Do not take
it as it will slow you down and trap 3 is just around the corner. Take the
first corner around the hospital slow then use nitrous until you reach the
trap.
Your first drag race! :D Most people hate the drags in this game, but I love
them most will take a few times to learn where the traffic is, but hopefully
this faq will help you. Once you get into 2nd gear tap the nitrous button
until you run out. If done correctly you should be in the lead. Move all the
way over to the right once you pass the first car. When you pass the second
car move over a lane to the left and pass the third car. Get in the far right
lane again until you pass another car then move over one lane to the left
again. Make sure you stay in your lane throughout all the curves and switch
lanes right before the end to avoid the last car. To make things easier just
watch the video. :P
You start out right before the switchback around the hospital. I didn't
notice this until I watched the video(I checked with another faq to make
sure) that the second half of the hospital is open so once you go around the
first turn watch your right and just bypass the second turn, this should give
you the lead. After you get through the hospital there will be a left turn.
Use speadbreaker and make your way around the corner then power slide to your
right and cut through the parking lot and make your way around the next
corner. Coming up will be the water park shortcut on the left, take it if you
want. Right after the big donut is a sharp 45º turn. Don't take it like I did
in the video -_- Try to go at it wide, using speedbreaker + nitrous to slow
your skid. Make your way to the end of the track.
7. Type: Sprint
Track: Rockridge & Union
Reward: $3,000
Cop Probability: Maximum
Distance: 5.1 Miles
Most of this race is on the highway. I didn't even know there were police in
this race until about 80%. If you engage in pursuit jump down to the
Milestones section and get some done if you haven't yet.
**Milestones** [B.04.03]
You can try to do the first three in one pursuit, but it took me over 4
minutes to tag 8 police vehicles so you could just try to do 1&3 in one
pursuit then do 2 in a separate one, which works out well since you get two
races with Maximum Cop Probability.
1. Type: Trade Paint
Bounty: $19,000
Objective: Evade the police pursuit and tag a minimum of 8 police vehicles
to successfully complete this challenge.
2. Type: Pursuit Evasion
Bounty: $19,000
Objective: Evade a police pursuit in less than 3 minutes to successfully
complete this challenge.

3. Type: Pursuit Time Challenge
Bounty: $19,000
Objective: Get into a police pursuit lasting at least 4 minutes. You will
need to evade the pursuit to successfully complete this challenge.
A really short sprint with no shortcuts that will help much. Also if you
notice on the video she shows off her lighting fast ninja skill just before
the race. Please let me know if this happens for you cause I really really
don't remember that my first time through. o_O
2. Type: Circuit
Track: Diamond
Reward: $8,000
Distance: 8.9 Miles
At the beginning of the race you'll see the shortcut under the tree. Skip it
this lap and stick to the road and you should gain a nice speed advantage.
Next there is the alley way behind the mall. NEVER enter a shortcut like I did
the first lap. It just defeats the whole purpose of one When you come to the
fork in the road, take the right side. Again when going around the the
switchback around the hospital, avoid the high sidewalk. The last shortcut is
the parking lot on the right just before the college circle.
Notes for those who watched the video: I believe that the first 1/2 of this
race was the worst I've done so far. Do not do any of the stupid crap I did in
the first lap. Pay attention and don't drive like gamefreaksl. :P
Ride: Mitsubishi Eclipse
Strength: Tollbooth Time Trials
Bio: This slab of Korean muscle considers himself a real ladies man.
He's all show. Rumor has it; he panics around the cops and bails on
races the first chance he gets. Along with that they say he has
problems working the clutch so he's slow off the line. I wouldn't
count on it if I was you.
Right at the beginning you can take the shortcut under the lighthouse, watch
out for the idiot AI though. Try to keep your car on the road throughout the
hills and curves and skip the jump through the drive-in theatre, you lose too
much speed taking it.
The first speedtrap is right at the beginning, so it's nice to get in front of
your opponents so you don't have to deal with smashing into them. The last
trap is a crucial one. It's right after a little s bend so save your nitrous
until you pass the first curve then boost right into the trap.
First: 0.6 Miles(10%) in 0:35
Second: 0.4 Miles(16%) in 0:15
Third: 1.4 Miles(36%) in 0:40
Fourth: 1.4 Miles(58%) in 0:40
Fifth: 2.9 Miles(100%) in 1:15
If you want any kind of time bonus on the first tollbooth you'll need to get
up to speed quickly. Try to get a perfect launch then use your nitrous to get
up to speed. Right before the second tollbooth is the drive-in jump. It's not
a good idea to take it if you didn't get much of a time bonus on the first
tollbooth, but it's fun to take it so if you feel like you can still make the
second booth in time you can go ahead and take it. :P After booth 2 you're on
the highway until a little after booth 4. After 4 you'll see a place where
the road splits. Take the right road and right before the road curves you'll
see a opening behind the water park. Take it to save a little time. A bit
after that you'll come to another fork in the road and again take the right
road.
5. Type: Tollbooth
Track: Route 55 & North Bay
Reward: $4,000
Cop Probability: Minimum
Distance: 5.5 Miles
Make sure you stick to them main road at the oil refinery. Right after the
tunnel outside of the oil refinery there is a shortcut to your left that you
don't want to take(its narrow and off-road so you lose a lot of speed) stick
to the main route. It's also a good idea to let go of the accelerator around
the curves just past the shortcut. At about 85% you'll reach a big hill right
before a turn. Slow down slightly to avoid slamming into the wall at the
bottom of the hill.
The first 2 traps are around corners so it's best to take the corners slow
then boost into the trap. The rest are pretty easy to get a decent speed on.
Stay in your lane until you reach the first intersection, switch one lane to
the right, stay there until you see a car in your lane. Switch over another
lane to the right, then around the curve, jump the median and get into the far
left lane. Stay in that lane until your car moves over to the right by itself.
Once you see a car coming at you head on jump the median again, making sure
not to hit the other car on the right, and get in the far right lane for the
rest of the race.
**Milestones** [B.05.03]
1. Type: Cost to State Challenge
Bounty: $30,000
Objective: Evade the police pursuit with a cost to state of 20,000 to
successfully complete this challenge.
Right at the beginning of the race you'll be going through the switchbacks
around the hospital, again avoid the high sidewalk and take the parking lot
shortcut on the right just past the hospital. Just after you get through the
college you'll see that corner cutting shortcut by the golf course again. Take
it if you want and continue down the road to go onto the highway.
You start right before the college circle, the parking lot
shortcut is now on your left. Right after you get pass the college your back
at the switchback around the hospital. Once you get to the fork in the road,
take the road on the right side. Once you get to the mall, take the alley
behind it to save a few seconds. Right before the end of each lap there's the
shortcut by the golf course.
Bio: This flake calls himself "Baron". He's a rich guy from the coast.
He thinks garage custom is an excuse for being broke. As far as he's
concerned, "if it's not name brand, it's nothing." Go show'm what home
grown rides can do.
Try to get a lead before the sharp left at the beginning or you'll have to
deal with idiot opponents(like I did -_-). Right before you get to the oil
refinery there will be a very sharp(almost 180) turn. I've tried many
different ways to go through this, and the best way by far is to hit
speedbreaker, start turning before you hit the hill, and just kind of try to
fly through the little shortcut. If done right you can make it around that
corner and gain a big lead on your rivals.
2. Type: Lap Knockout

The rest of the race is shortcut free.

This race would be a lot easier if you had good handling, but if your car
doesn't(like mine) you can still win by boosting with nitrous every little bit

Once you go through the oil refinery you'll meet that nice sharp turn again,
only this time you're coming from the other side. Coming this way it's a lot
easier to make, just cut through the little shortcut and make your way around
it.
2. Type: Cost to State Challenge
Bounty: $35,000
Objective: Evade the police pursuit with a cost to state of 30,000 to
successfully complete this challenge.
Once you're about to leave the college circle you'll see the parking lot
shortcut on your left again. Right after that you'll reach the hospital and
the upper half is open so jump it then make your way around the last
switchback. Just keep up with his Cayman and use your nitrous wisely and you
should beat him without any problems.
Stay in your lane until it auto steers you into the left lane.(Don't worry
about the semi. If you drive fast enough you'll pass by him without any
problems). Once it auto steers you into the far left lane switch over one lane
to the right(the middle left lane) and pass in between the two cars before the
tollbooth. Once you pass the bridge get into the far right lane and stay there
until you pass two cars(you'll have to fight the auto steer) then switch over
one lane to the left to avoid hitting the next car. From there one just use
all of your nitrous until you reach the finish line.
Ride: Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION VIII
Strength: Sprint Races
Bio: This guy hails from the lower eastside of Rockport but now rides
on the coast. He's a big fan of imports and goes out of his way to
take on the big blocks.
Two nice little corner cutters in this races. First there's the shortcut
through some construction(It'll be on your right) Then right after that
there's a shortcut through the first switchback. Just ignore all the other
little shortcuts throughout that race, most of them are off road and hurt you
more than they help you.
The first thing you need to do is speed up real quick and switch one lane to
the left. You'll pass one car then you'll see a car in front of you and a semi
turning onto the road. You need to switch one lane to the left in between the
car and the semi. Get into the far left lane until you pass one car then
move one lane to the right. You'll pass 3 cars then you need to switch back
over to the far left lane. Pass one car then you'll go through a intersection
with a car coming from each side. If you're timing is right you should be able
to fly through the intersection without slowing down and be fine. Immediately
after the intersection move one lane to the right, to avoid hitting the last
car, and cross the finish line.

Only one shortcut in this race and its the alley behind the mall. Nothing much
to say other than that. They give you plenty of time to make it between
tollbooths.
Right before the first trap you can take the shortcut behind the water park,
but be careful and watch out for opponents slamming on their brakes. -_-
After the last trap you can cut through the top half of the hospital.

Right before tollbooth #2 There is a little corner cutter shortcut though the
construction on the right. Right after booth #5 you can jump through the
prison to gain a little time.
Near the beginning you can jump through the prison and gain a nice little lead
(if you don't flip) so just slow down a bit and you can gain a lead each lap.
Right after the oil refinery you'll meet that nice little hairpin turn again,
but its a lot easier to take from this side. :)

I had the wrong walkthrough in this section for over 7 months and no one
noticed until now. For that reason I'm not going to even bother writing up a
new walkthorugh for this race.
You have one big disadvantage in this races, and that's speed. I don't care
what you drive or how fast it goes, you get on a straightaway, Earl is going
to pass you. One good thing though is you can get a early lead on him once he
takes the shortcuts after the trailer park. The shortcuts slow him down a
bunch and once you reach a hard right turn use speedbreaker + nitrous to fly
though it and gain a very big lead on him. Not too far after that turn you'll
meet the nasty oil refinery again. Remember that speedbreaker + nitrous =
great turning ability. From there on you just need to use your nitrous wisely
and try your best to not let him pass you.
Bio: This sweet thing goes by the name Jewels. She's all about big
block and muscle. She's got a lot of Mileage under her wheels so don't
be tempted to do anything stupid. She's got some serious power under
the hood.
This is a simple race. A few zig zags here and there followed by
straightaway's. Just use speedbreaker around the corners and boost with
nitrous on the straightaway's to get the easy win.
2. Type: Lap Knockout

Distance: 9.3 Miles (3 Laps)
Another easy race, if you have a fast car or the proper upgrades. Most of it
is straight, so you can really test out your cars top speed. About 1/3 through
the lap you'll reach the water park. The alleyway behind it is open, so you
can fly right through it. Right after you pass the water park you'll reach a
left turn. You can cut the corner by going through the gas station. The best
way to it is to hit the pumps(use speedbreaker so you don't hit one of the
supports and come to a dead stop) so they won't be there for the next 2 laps.
The first two are easy to hit. When approaching the corner just before trap
#3, turn on speed breaker and align yourself with the trap so you get a good
run towards it. Right after the last trap you need to slow down to avoid
slamming into the wall at the bottom of the hill.

Right at the beginning you can cut through the alley behind the water park.
Once you reach the highway lay down on the nitrous and try to pull away from
your opponents. Jump through the hospital and pass the finish line.(If you
have cops after you, be prepared to throw speed breaker on and turn so you
don't slam into a wall and get busted)

Another easy tollbooth race. There are a few shortcuts you can use(not that
you need them). First of all, you want to gain a nice lead on tollbooth #1.
It'll help throughout the race. Right at the beginning, at the end of the
college circle, that parking lot shortcut is open on the left. Then between
booth #2 & #3 the drive-in is open(not really a good idea to take this one
though).

Objective: Get into a police pursuit lasting at least 6 minutes. You will
need to evade the pursuit to successfully complete this challenge.
There are no shortcuts in this race, but Jewels is pretty slow, especially
around corners. SO you shouldn't have to much of a problem getting ahead. and
beating her.
2. Type: Drag
Track: Union & Rockridge
Reward: $20,000
Distance: 1.2 Miles
Get a perfect launch so you can speed up pass Jewels and switch over the
left lane. Pass one car, switch back to the right lane. You'll pass another
car then once you reach the construction it'll auto steer you onto the
sidewalk. once pass the construction get into the left lane again until you
pass two cars. Get into the right lane and pass one car then move back over to
the left. Pass the car merging with the road and then switch over to the right
lane. Pass one car then move back over to the left lane. Pass another car and
move back to the right lane. Now once you pass this next car slam on your
brakes until you can pass the intersection with the van crossing the road.
Once the van passes Hold down the nitrous button and switch into the left lane
once again and pass one car then immediately switch back to the right and pass
the finish line.
Ride: Mercedes-Benz CLK 500
Strength: Cost To State
Bio: Kaze is crazy. What she can't conquer with skills, she demolishes
with speed. Don't let her sweet looks fool ya. She'll trash anything
she sees, including you. She's not afraid to ding her ride to put you
out of commission.
Try to gain on little bit of a lead on the highway and once you exit it
you'll start to go around curves and a few turns. Just use speedbreaker and
time your nitrous boosts correctly.
This is a small circuit with a few tight turns in it. If your car doesn't have
good handling use speedbreaker + nitrous. There isn't any shortcuts in this
race.
7. Type: Sprint
Track: Union Row & Ocean
Reward: $10,000
Cop Probability: Minimum
Distance: 7.7 Miles
Right at the beginning you want to get over to the far right until you pass
the first car. The move over the left, pass one car, right, pass one car.
Then your cars going to fly all over the road once you get to the lighthouse.
About 1/2 way through the lighthouse part a car will be turning onto the road
so you'll need to get into the left lane to avoid hitting them. Once you pass
the lighthouse stay in the left lane(It will auto steer you a little bit, but
that's okay) until you pass the first car. Then move over to the far right
lane and stay there until you pass the tollbooth and the next car. Then switch
one lane to the left and pass one more car. Then it should auto steer you one
more lane to the left. Stay there until you pass the car over the hill then
quickly switch over into the far left lane to avoid the big truck turning onto
the road. Stay in this lane all the way to the finish line.
Note: In the video I did the last part a little different, but I almost lost
the race due to this. So do what I typed above instead.

Right at the beginning you can cut through the alley behind the mall. After
that the race is shortcut free so you'll have to time your nitrous boosts
right to win.
This race has a lot of twists and turns in it so if your car doesn't have good
handling you might have some fun with this one. There really isn't any
shortcuts worth mentioning in this races so you're just going to have to try
to out maneuver her.
Bio: This here is Ming. He prides himself on keeping his ride looking
stock. He's fast and shreds radar traps everywhere he can. He's the
straight goods. Word is the got his ride from some rich cat who talked
when he should have been listening. Don't take'm on until you're
ready.
First: 2.8 Miles(35%) in 1:35

The first three and the fifth traps are easy to get a decent speed on, but the
others are around corners. The best thing to do is use speedbreaker to get
aligned with the trap them lay down the nitrous.
A short easy sprint. The only thing you really need to know is, DO NOT cut
through the parking lot on the last turn. If you do you will come to a dead
stop.

Second: 1.4 Miles(24%) in 0:35
Third: 1.4 Miles(42%) in 0:35
Fourth: 1.4 Miles(60%) in 0:40

No shortcuts. The only thing you need to know is when you're down south of the
stadium, watch out for pillars and water barrels.

Stay in your lane until you pass one car, then move over one lane to the
right. Stay there(you'll have to fight the auto steering) until you pass the
next car. Move over one to the left, pass a car, and move back over to the
right. No a semi is going to drive out right in front of you, but if your
timing is right, you can pass right under him. Dodge the last few cars and
pass the finish line.
First: 1.7 Miles(20%) in 0:45
Second: 1.3 Miles(36%) in 0:30
Third: 1.2 Miles(56%) in 0:45
Fourth: 2.4 Miles(78%) in 0:35
Fifth: 1.8 Miles(100%) in 0:45
You'll have to drive fast to make it to the first two. After that extra time
should build up through each booth. And make sure to stick to the right side
of the road once you reach the stadium.

This is a short course with lots of turns, but there are also a few places to
get some speed. Time your nitrous boosts right and use speedbreaker wisely and
you should win without a problem.

Distance: 6.1 Miles
I was disappointed in Mings performance. I would have thought that this race
would be hard, with him having a Gallardo and all, but if you time your
nitrous boosts right and have a decent car it really isn't hard at all.
Bio: Webster's always talking about rides, performance, racers, blah,
blah, blah. Won't shut up. He's got some crazy idea that he's gonna
make it big. When he ain't street racing, he's hanging out at shops.
His ride is tuned to the max. Apparently the interior is stripped of
everything that isn't related to speed.
This speedtrap is a little harder than what you're use to. There are not many
traps and you have to get good speeds on all of them to have a chance. Passing
the finish line first will also help you win.

Right at the beginning you need to take the alley behind the houses to save
some time. After that you have the shortcut under the lighthouse. The rest of
the race is shortcut free.
2. Type: Speedtrap
Track: State & Petersburg
Distance: 8.8 Miles
Traps 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 are all right after turns/curves. Trap 5 is right
after the entrance to the park so you need to use all your nitrous while still
on pavement. Doing so should make you get a much higher speed on this trap
than Webster.
3. Type: Sprint
Track: State & Warrent
Reward: $48,000
Distance: 8.8 Miles
Before you get to the college there will be lots of sharp turns so using
speedbreaker then small bursts of nitrous to get back up to speed helps a lot.
Once you reach the golf course you can take the little shortcut there. Then
you'll be entering the park again so just make sure not to hit any trees while
maintaining control. A little bit after that you'll open it up on the highway
so if you have a car with a halfway decent top speed you should be able to out
run him.
Bio: I don't know how JV does it, man. His nights are spent in the
clubs and days on the streets. This guy's got a lot of street rep.
Cops hate him and racers want to be like him. His flash green Dodge
Viper has cops swarming around it all the time.

Right at the beginning there are a bunch of little shortcuts on the sides of
the road, which may or may not be worth taking. Then around the last
switchback there is a shortcut to bypass the last half. Then right after the
first tollbooth you have a shortcut on your left in the construction. After
that you are pretty much shortcut free until you reach the light house. You do
need to watch out for the sharp turn right after the boardwalk.
Right at the beginning you can cut through the parking lot on your right. Once
you reach the hospital make a left turn into it to take the small ramp up to
the next level.

Distance: 8.0 Miles
The first 5 traps are easy to hit. The last trap should be the only one you
will have problems with. Just get a nice lead on the first 5 and you should
win.
Be careful on trap 6. It's right before the entrance to the lower level road
(or whatever it's called). And there's pretty much a hairpin turn after the
exit.

Right at the beginning stay to the right so you don't have to make a sharp
left turn. Then around the last switchback there is a shortcut to bypass the

Stay in your lane until you approach the first car. Switch left one lane, pass
that car, switch back to the right lane. Get into the far right lane now, you
WILL have to fight auto steer, until you go under the semi and you pass one
car. Switch over one lane to the left then stay there until you are getting
close to the second intersection. At the intersection you need to move over to
the left side(not the far left lane) and stay there until you pass 3 cars(all
in the far left lane) then jump the median and get back into the right lane.
Stay there until you reach the finish line.

Bio: You know Ronnie. He's one of those rich freaks that thinks he's
ghetto. He definitely ain't from around that way. Got his car as a
graduation gift from his parents. Don't be fooled though this guy
knows how to drive. He's been to every race school you can think of.
Right at the beginning you have a shortcut on your right in the construction
followed by a cutoff on your left just pass the gas station. Stick to the main
route for the rest of the lap.

Right after the first booth you can jump through the prison and gain a bunch
of time.(as long as you don't flip) After the second booth take the right road
to avoid a hard left turn. Before the third booth you have a shortcut on the
right in the construction and another shortcut just after the booth.
At about 25% you get a chance to jump through the prison(I did a perfect
barrel roll in going through it! :D) a little bit after that you have a pretty
sharp corner. It's almost a 180° turn so use speedbreaker.
Once you get out of the boardwalk you want to get into the left lane(not far
left) and try, the keyword here is try, to stay there until you approach the
semi crossing the street. You should be able to switch over one lane to the
right and go right under it. Once you pass the semi you should be in the
middle right lane. If you're not get there. Pass three cars(all will be to the
right of you) and switch over to the far right lane. Pass one car and you
should be able to get through the intersection without hitting anything as
long as you stay in the far right lane. Now you can stay here until you see a
car that's in the same lane(its right before the finish line) then just move
over to the left and pass the finish line.

vehicles to successfully complete this challenge.

The only tip I have for this race is once you get pass the 145°~ turn instead
of taking the little s bend, just go straight, then cut over to the left to
cross the finish line.

Track: Seaside & Lennox
Distance: 5.4 Miles
This is the same course as the first race, only backwards. So right at the
beginning go to the left, skipping the little s bend thing, and either take
the ramp or go around it. Right after that you'll have the 145°~ turn again so
be careful on it and don't let Ronnie slam you into the wall. The rest of the
lap is fairly easy.
Bio: If it weren't for Razor, Toru would still be hanging down at the
docks dreamin' of the Blacklist. This fool thinks he's got a sleeper,
calls it reverse psychology. The only thing stock on his ride is the
paint. Toru likes to keep his car mint so give him a bump when you
can.
Again, most if this race is out on the highway so you shouldn't have a
problem, but if you do... Just turn off the game for a while. This is one of
those long boring races.

You need to get into the right lane at the beginning. Stay there until you go
under the semi, and pass 2 cars. Switch over one lane to the right, pass a car
then switch back over, pass a car, then get back in the far right lane. Stay
there until you pass the rail road tracks. Move over into the middle left lane
(two lanes to the left) and stay there, fighting auto steer, until the end.

Objective: Get into a police pursuit lasting at least 9 minutes. You will
need to evade the pursuit to successfully complete this challenge.
Remember that big turn at the oil refinery? Well... It's back. At it just
happens to be right before the finish line. You need to take to turn good or
the race is lost. This is one of those times that you NEED to watch the video.
If you can take the turn like I do you have this race won.
2. Type: Sprint

Distance: 5.9 Miles
Your first and only shortcut is near the beginning just after the gas station.
Then at about 50% you meet your nice friend near the refinery again. Just hit
speedbreaker before you leave the ground and do a combination of nitrous
bursts and power sliding, and you should slide right through it.
Bio: Razor rocketed to the top of the Blacklist using your ride. Now
he's holding it down and rolling the streets like he owns them. He'll
do anything he can to give himself an edge. That includes messing with
your head. Remember, you can't trust anything he says.

1. Type: Trade Paint
Bounty: $220,000
Objective: Evade the police pursuit and tag a minimum of 35 police
vehicles to successfully complete this challenge.
4. Type: Pursuit Time Challenge
Bounty: $220,000
Objective: Get into a police pursuit lasting at least 13 minutes. You will
need to evade the pursuit to successfully complete this challenge.
This is a very easy race considering it's against Razor. Almost all the traps
are on straight roads. Make sure to avoid the alley behind the water park and
the one behind the mall. They both have traps just after them.
2. Type: Drag
Track: Terrace & Riverside
Distance: 0.9 Miles
Stay in your lane until you pass one car, then switch over one lane to the
left. Pass another car and move back to the right. Pass another car and move
back over to the left. Then, once again, back to the right. Now at this
intersection you may have to use speedbreaker to avoid hitting both of the
cars crossing. You want to time it just right so you move right in between
them and get into the far left lane. Pass a car then move over to the right.
Once you pass another car the road is going to spread out into 3 lanes just
before merging with the other side. You want to get into this lane(one more
lane to the right) Pass one car and immediately switch one lane to the left,
then once again switch one lane to the right. Now hold your breath and hit the
nitrous.
3. Type: Sprint
Track: Forest Green
Distance: 7.5 Miles
Right at the beginning you have the shortcut near the golf course. then not
far ahead you have the alley behind the mall. The last shortcut is at the
hospital. It's the ramp that goes up the lower level. It's a hard left to get
in there so speedbreaker is a must.
5. Type: Sprint
Track: Clubhouse & Lennox
Distance: 10 Miles
Right after you beat Razor you are thrown into a cutsence, find out stuff
(I don't want to spoil it for you >.>) then you end up in a level 6 pursuit.
You HAVE to stay in the pursuit(you can't lose them anyways) For 5 minutes.
Then you will get a call from Mia. Once you do the old bridge will now be open
and you have to head for it. There are two ways you can do this pursuit. You
can do what I did, which is what I recommend, and make your way to the highway
and drive around until the 5 minutes is up then make your way to the old
bridge. Or you can do the bus station glitch and wait the 5 minutes there, but
that takes all the fun out of it.

Now if you use the bus station glitch you can use this map.(credit goes to
papagamer, I saw this on the boards one day so I thought I would use it here
instead of making my own. I will make my own if papagamer doesn't like me
hot linking to his pic.)
Most of the challenges are easy and very straight forward, so I'm only going
to give some general tips for pursuits and I'll give tips on the tollbooth
races that I think need them.
Pursuit Evasion: Hit pursuit breakers and make a lot of tight turns to lose
the cops.
Pursuit Length: Head out to the nearest highway and drive around until the
time is up.
Bounty: The easiest thing to do is immobilize police vehicles. Head out
to the nearest highway and hit some roadblocks.
Cost to State: See bounty.
Trade Paint: I like to just turn around and slam into as many cop cars as I
can. It's a little risky in the higher heat levels, but its the fastest way
to complete these challenges I've found.
Roadblock: Make your way out to a highway and just keep going around until you
dodge enough to complete the challenge.
Spike Strip: See roadblock.

1. Type: Tollbooth Time Trial
Objective: Complete this Tollbooth Time Trial in under 2:40 to win.
Unlock: Available at the beginning of the game.
Vehicle: Volkswagen Golf GTI
Starting Heat Level: 1
Objective: One of the tollbooth attendants ordered pizza. If you don't
get his pizza to him in the next 4 minutes and 33 seconds he gets his
pizza for free and the money comes out of your pocket.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 40.
Vehicle: Pizza Deliver Vehicle
Starting Heat Level: 1
This one is a good mixture of challenge and fun. It's fun because you can plow
through roadblocks and police cruisers a lot better in the truck, yet its a
challenge to keep from getting busted due to bad turning and slow
acceleration.
43. Type: Tollbooth Time Trial
Objective: One of the lower end non ranked Blacklist racers posted a time
of 4:30, and now they're bragging about the run. Show them up by beating
their time with just a minivan and a bottle of nitrous.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 41 or 42.

First Booth: 0:45 (10%)
Second Booth: 0:25 (23%)
Third Booth: 1:15 (52%)

This time you're driving a civilian minivan, which like the pizza van, is
slow and has horrible handling. You think that would make this race hard, but
once the van gets up to speed its not hard to hit 100-130mph average.
44. Type: Spike Strip
Objective: Using a police cruiser, dodge 6 spike strips and evade the
police to successfully complete this challenge.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 41 or 42.
Vehicle: Police Cruiser
Starting Heat Level: 4
Objective: It's the annual pursuit skills competition and you need to
participate in this closed course time trial. The Bayview police hold the
record at 3:35. You represent Rockport's best, so don't let them down.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 43 or 44.
Vehicle: Police Cruiser
Starting Heat Level: 1
First Booth: 0:50 (17%)
Second Booth: 1:15 (52%)
Third Booth: 1:00 (83%)
Fourth Booth: 0:30 (100%)
Now you get to drive a super charged police gto, with (this is the best part)
NO TRAFFIC!
Now after around 10% you'll start going up a hill with a turn at the top, so
you'll have to slow down to avoid flying into a wall. You also need to stay
right between the 3rd and 4th booth for the short route around the stadium.
46. Type: Cost to State
Objective: Driving a garbage truck, evade the police pursuit with a cost
to state of 100,000 to successfully complete this challenge.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 45.
Vehicle: Garbage Truck
Starting Heat Level: 3
This time you get to drive a garbage truck. What you want to do is slam into
as many police cruisers and pursuit breakers as possible. It'll rack up the
CTS pretty quickly.
47. Type: Tollbooth Time Trial
Objective: Someone's car broke down near a tollbooth, and they need a cab
urgently. A rival cab driver is also on their way to pick them up. If you
don't reach the passenger in less than 4:30 the other cab will get there
first.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 45.
Vehicle: Taxi

First Booth: 2:05 (43%)
Second Booth: 0:50 (63%)
Third Booth: 0:50 (82%)

This time you're driving a cab, and like the pizza delivery race, the car is
slow and can't turn worth crap. As long as you don't hit too many things
you'll do fine.
48. Type: Pursuit Evasion
Objective: Using a police SUV you will need to evade the pursuit in less
than 4 minutes.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 46 or 47.
Vehicle: Police SUV
Starting Heat Level: 3
You can make this one extremely easy by fooling the police. You start out near
the famous shortcut by the golf course. What you want to do take the road
around the corner, all the police cruiser will take the shortcut, Once you get
to the point where the shortcut comes out, hit your brakes and go through the
shortcut. If done correctly, you will lose most of the police cruisers chasing
you and make things a whole lot easier. Once you get through the shortcut,
just head straight into the forest park, hit the pursuit breaker to get rid of
any police cruisers still chasing you, then make your way to the hiding spot on
the other side of the park.
49. Type: Tollbooth Time Trial
Objective: The Bayview police department struck again, this time posting
an incredible time of 3:45 in the annual police pursuit skills
competition. You have been selected once again to participate in this
closed course time trial.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 46 or 47.
Vehicle: Police Corvette
Starting Heat Level: 1
First Booth: 0:35 (12%)
Second Booth: 1:30 (52%)
Third Booth: 0:55 (78%)

This time you get to drive a police corvette, and just like the last police
race, NO TRAFFIC! You'll have to use a lot of nitrous around the bends to even
be able to pass the first booth. After that its pretty easy.
50. Type: Bounty
Objective: You will be using a cement truck and need to evade the police
pursuit with a bounty of 100,000 to successfully complete this challenge.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 48 or 49.
Vehicle: Cement Truck
Starting Heat Level: 3
Due to the length of this pursuit, I used the bus station glitch to save
server space. If you don't want to use the bus station glitch, just head out
to the highway and hope you don't have to do this more then once.
61. Type: Tollbooth Time Trial
Objective: Complete this tollbooth time trial in under 5:00 to advance.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 60.
Vehicle: Vauxhall Monaro VXR
Starting Heat Level: 5
First Booth: 0:30 (9%)
Second Booth: 0:30 (22%)
Third Booth: 0:40 (38%)
Fourth Booth: 2:40 (86%)
Fifth Booth: 0:40 (100%)
Right after the 3rd booth you end up going through the stadium's football
field. Don't use any nitrous on the field, you get no traction so it would be
a waste. The best thing to do is use as much nitrous as you can before you
leave the pavement and try avoid turning on the field. After the stadium there
are a bunch of twists and turns so speedbreaker and nitrous helps.
62. Type: Spike Strip
Objective: In order to beat this challenge, you will have to
dodge 10 spike strips and evade the pursuit.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 61.
Vehicle: Vauxhall Monaro VXR
Starting Heat Level: 5
Races like these make you want to kill the creators of the game. It's long,
boring, times are tight, and traffic is heavy in areas. The only tip I can
really give is use lots of nitrous, and use speedbreaker.
64. Type: Trade Paint
Objective: To complete this challenge you will need to trade paint with
20 different police vehicles. As always, you will need to evade the
pursuit to win.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 63.
Vehicle: Mercedes-Benz CLK 500
Starting Heat Level: 5
First Booth: 0:50 (13%)
Second Booth: 2:25 (61%)
Third Booth: 0:35 (78%)
Fourth Booth: 0:40 (90%)

Right at the beginning you want to zig-zag your way through the docks instead
of taking the main route. Near 50% you'll have to go through the stadium
again, but this time you're going the other direction. Again you want to
accelerate as much as you can before hitting the field. Something happened on
my game, because my frame rate drop to hell and made it very hard to steer
into the stadium. Hopefully that won't happen to you.
66. Type: Cost to State
Objective: Get 200,000 cost to state and evade the pursuit to win this
challenge.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 65.
Vehicle: Fiat Punto
Starting Heat Level: 5
Objective: This is the longest time challenge in the Blacklist records.
You need to reach the last tollbooth before the 8:50 mark to win this
challenge.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 66.
Vehicle: Lamborghini Gallardo
Starting Heat Level: 5
Times are tight through the first few booths, so you have to drive as fast as
you can. Your nitrous bottle should be almost empty before you even reach 1%.
After that it's pretty easy. The only thing I have to say is, between booth 4
and 5 you want to stay right for the shorter route around the stadium.
68. Type: Pursuit Length
Objective: You will need to last in a pursuit for 30 minutes without
getting busted. Once accomplished, you still need to evade the pursuit to
be successful.
Unlock: Unlock this challenge by beating challenge 67.
Vehicle: Lamborghini Gallardo
Starting Heat Level: 5
Again, due to the length of this pursuit, I used the bus station glitch to
save erver space. If you don't want to use the bus station glitch, just head
out to the highway and hope you don't have to do this more then once.
69. Type: Black Edition Challenge
Objective: In this event you will be pursued by supercharged Heavy SUV's.
This will be the most difficult challenge in the series. You need to Get
a Bounty of 500,000 and evade the pursuit to be successful.
Unlock: Black Edition Only
Vehicle: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS
Starting Heat Level: 7
This is no where near the toughest challenge. In fact, its one of the easier
ones. Right at the beginning you want to do a 180 and head for the stadium.
Hit the 2 pursuit breakers and make your way to the hiding spot in the parking
lot. That wasn't hard now was it?
70. Type: Burger King Challenge
Objective: Win the BURGER KING race to unlock unique performance upgrade
parts in the performance customization menu.(For Use in Quick Race Only)
Unlock: Unlocked by typing "burgerking" on the "Click to
Continue" Screen
Unlike the other challenges, this one is just a normal race. It's extremely
easy, so you shouldn't have any problems.
Note: Winning this race unlocks Junkman Parts for use in QUICK RACE ONLY. You
