-=Introduction=-
Hello, and welcome to The Guide To Soul Blazer . This is where you'll
find things about the RPG from Enix, Soul Blazer. The main characters
are:

You, The Hero....................................The hero of the game
Deathtoll..............................................The villain of
the game
Dr. Leo..................................................The inventor
who summons Deathtoll
Lisa........................................................Dr. Leo's
daughter
King Maggrid.......................................The king of the land
The Master...........................................Your master

King Maggrid hears one of the guards talking about a man named Dr. Leo,
who can invent just about anything. Maggrid orders his guards to capture
Leo. In the castle, Maggrid orders Leo to invent a machine that can
summon evil. When the machine was finished, Maggrid used it to summon
the evil Deathtoll. Maggrid was pleased with this, until Deathtoll
released his monsters on the world. Maggrid realized he had been a
terrible king, but it was too late. Deathtoll had destroyed the world!
The Master has seen this, and has chosen YOU to go down and rebuild the
world. Good Luck!

You rebuild the world by destroying the monster lairs. If you kill the
monsters that come out of a lair, it will blow up. Step on it and it
might build a place in the current town you're building. (Note: For a
listing of each town, see the bottom of each chapter in the walktrough.)
Destroying a monster lair where a boss came from will release the leader
of the town. There are some things in the game called Angel Gems. Angel
Gems are big blue gems and transparent angels appear when you get close
to it. If you talk to an angel, it can give you tips, EXP, and can
return you to the town you are building. Now it's time for the items and
walkthrough of the game. But beware, it will tell almost everything

-=Chapter I: The Quest Begins=-

You begin your quest in the shrine. The Master will ask who you wish to
be called, put in who you want to be called. Walk into the blue portal
on your left. You will be transported to the Trial Room.

Open the treasure chest to get the Sword of Life (see "Weapons"). Equip
the sword. Destroy the goblin monster lair to release a magician. Talk
to him and you'll learn about magic and GEMs, and he'll give you
Flameball. Equip it and return to the shrine.

Walk into the blue portal to the south.

You will appear in the town of Grass Valley. Right now, there are no
houses or people. Walk to the south and down the stairs. The tulip will
tell you something. Enter the cave.

You're now in the Underground Castle. Further on, you should find a bee
monster lair. Destroy it and a treasure chest will appear on the hill
beside you. Open it to get the Dream Rod. Near the end, you'll find an
elevator that doesn't work, and needs the water mill running. Make sure
you have destroyed every lair except one and return to Grass Valley.

There is now a small civilization in Grass Valley. Talk to the bridge
guard and he'll let you through. Walk into the water mill and talk to
the man inside. He can't turn the wheel, so he wants you to do it. When
you walk over to the wheel, the mill starts again, and it seems that he
was turning it the wrong way. Return to the Underground Castle.

Go back to the elevator and walk onto it. It will take you up and the
final monster lair will be there. More of the castle is to the right. By
the time you destroy every lair, an Angel Gem and a girl named Lisa
should be released. Talk to the Angel Gem and have it return you to
Grass Valley for a quicker way back.

Grass Valley is even bigger than before. Go to Lisa's house. She is
sleeping, so use the Dream Rod on her.

Her dream is taking place in the Underground Castle. She's having a
dream about her father. Walk onto the destroyed lair. You will return to
Grass Valley.

Lisa wakes up. She'll tell you to get out of her house. When you are
about to leave out the door, she tells you to come back. Lisa wants you
to find her father's paint brush. Again, return to the Underground
Castle.

Go to the second part of the castle. Near the beginning there is a path
that goes down. This is what was released in the dream. Go down the path
and to the left. Destroy the lair and get the paintbrush. Make sure
every lair is destroyed and go back to Grass Valley.

Go up the architect's stairs and into the house. The man inside says
there is a ghost. Equip the brush and walk to the painting on the wall.
You'll be sucked in.

You're in Dr. Leo's Painting. Keep going through the world and
destroying lairs. Later, you'll find metal spider looking things that
can't be killed. You need the Zantetsu Sword, so leave them alone for
right now. Near the end, you'll release a blue portal that returns you
to the shrine. Equip your Medical Herb if you have one. Walk into the
opening at the end of the hall.

You're now facing the first boss. Lure him to the left or right,
avoiding his fireballs. Move onto the middle conveyor belt and hit him
in the front when he comes near you. Repeat this until he's dead. Walk
onto the lair and you'll release the chief of the town. You need to go
back to Grass Valley. For a quicker way back, walk into the portal you
released earlier.

Grass Valley is now complete! Except for the things released from the
metal monsters. The chief is upstairs in your mother's house. Talk to
him and you'll get a brown stone. The Master tells you that the brown
stone is one of the keys to Deathtoll's World of Evil. Return to the
shrine.

The Master tells you more about the stones. Now walk onto the portal
that lets you save your game and select Map.

Your on the Map Screen. The next world you will be building is
Greenwood.

That's it for Grass Valley. The walkthrough for Greenwood will be here
soon!
