SECRETS FAQ ver 0.2

This FAQ is freewaare. The only people who will get anything out of
this document are those who want to enjoy the game more. Feel free to
copy this document and distribute them in any manner desired (web
sites, bulletin boards, etc.) as long as you do not mutilate this
document, take credit for it, etc. If you want to use the information
to expand your own FAQ you are free to do so, though there might be too
much information.

The most entertaining games to me has been Dark Stalkers 3 and Pocket
Fighter. They are truly go beyond merely fighting games to nice music
and fun activities and shows.

The next version of this FAQ will fill in many of the blanks in this
document and provide other information. Note that some of this
information is taken from the all of the versions known, so some might
not pertain to the Playstation version and will be corrected later.

INTRODUCTION

Darkstalkers 3 is perhaps one of the most interesting and
entertaining 2-D/anime games ever created to date. There are so many
features and secrets that it is nearly impossible to get bored with it.
For those who like action, there are the most impressive and amusing
special effects in the fights. For those who like drama, there are
stories of the characterÕs themselves. For those who like artwork,
there are a gallery of pictures. For those who like great music, they
are accessible in the game too. There are many themes and genres
ranging from horror to cuteness to tragedy and others.
Accessing them is not very easy unless you are very good in
playing the game and are very determined to unlock every secret in the
game. While there are a few FAQS that show the various secret moves in
the fighting, few incorporate all the secrets of the game itself. This
FAQ will not list all the move commands unless there is some secret or
unusual effect associated with it. Dark Stalkers 3 seems to have the
most secrets of any fighting game to be created and is likely to
unexceeded until memory storage technology increases significantly.
For those who want to look at the FAQs with move commands,
specials, etc. look at the FAQs at www.gamefaqs.com. There is also a
book published by Brady Games, though it is not as complete and some of
the movement commands are wrong. Some of the information here is drawn
from those FAQs as well as CombinatorÕs web site and Sakura and
LilithÕs web site.
This FAQ is arranged mainly in a chronological order to make it
easier to use.

OPENING UP THE MAIN SECRETS

Go to MODE SELECT section. Go to OPTION menu and change the
following settings:
Difficulty: 1 star. Note that the AI used by CAPCOM is very strange,
certain characters are played by the AI at a higher difficulty level
than what is selected and tend to play "cheap". Strangely some
characters, notably Felicia, has moves that causes the AI to suddenly
turn stupid for some reason. The characters most noted for being
played "cheap" by the AI are Bishamon, Oboro Bishamon, Demitri, and
Jedah. Hsien-ko is noted for being faster under AI control and moving
around in a nearly insane fashion.
Damage Gauge 1 star.
Turbo Speed: 1 star.
Short Cut: OFF
Later on you can view the art Collection, but not now.
Go back to the MODE SELECT section.

Go to ORIGINAL CHARACTER menu. Select EDIT. Choose your favorite
character and select colors, and name as you are directed. After
making the character, select 1P BATTLE and fight as a GUEST. SAVE in
this mode after battles and save to the MEMORY CARD in the OPTION menu.
Keep advancing in the levels for the ORIGINAL CHARACTER until all the
secret screens are received (EX, DX, and art gallery screens) for the
OPTION MENU. You may wish to practice in the TRAINING menu first to
get a feel for how to use the character that you want.
Note that all the secret characters are available for Original
Character, and will be described later.

Go to DX OPTION MODE and change the following settings:
1P DX Cancel: ON.
1P Second Jump: ON.
You can also listen to most of the music in the game from here and
see what their titles are. Note that not all of the music are
selectable from this screen. In particular the ones not included are:
Victory moves, Lord RapterÕs moves, voices, LilithÕs Gloomy Puppet Show
tunes, and AnitaÕs ending music.

Go to EX OPTION MODE and change the following settings:
1P SS GAUGE: 90
You can change the SYSTEM TYPE. This will be used to help obtain
the various ending stories. Later on, you can use it help change the
music, background schemes, etc. It also affects your "boss enemy" and
possibly your "mid-boss enemy" too.
Look at ENDINGS. You will need to have passed an ending before
you can look at it. This means beating your "boss enemy" in the ARCADE
mode. Do not forget to save the game in the MEMORY CARD. The ones
that you need to get endings for are as follow:
All characters under VAMPIRE SAVIOR SYSTEM. The exception is
Shadow and Marionette, which have the same ending. Oboro Bishamon has
a different ending from Bishamon, so you will have to play him
separately.
Anita ending: This is obtained by defeating Oboro Bishamon. To
fight him you will need to meet certain conditions, which will be
described later. This ending has music that is not described
elsewhere. It also show the various characters in ball forms and in
other forms not shown elsewhere.
Vampire Savior 2: Set the game to VAMPIRE SAVIOR 2 SYSTEM type.
Beat the game with anyone, not including Jedah.
Vampire Savior 2 (Jedah): Set the game to VAMPIRE SAVIOR 2 SYSTEM
type. Beat the game with Jedah.
Vampire Hunter 2: Set the game to VAMPIRE HUNTER 2 SYSTEM type.
Beat the game with anyone, not including Pyron.
Vampire Hunter 2: Set the game to VAMPIRE HUNTER 2 SYSTEM type.
Beat the game with Pyron.
The staff listing will come automatically with the other endings.
Shadow and Marionette have their own staff listing ending. It
plays different music from the regular staff listing and it show
pictures of the various characters. You will need to finish the game
in the various SYSTEMS using either Shadow or Marionette to obtain
them. The main difference is aesthetics, since the system type affects
the order and placement of the pictures shown.

MISSILE VS. MISSILE RULES

While there are other FAQs that describe this better, it should be
noted by the player that missiles fired second can overcome missiles
fired earlier. The only exception is when the missile is an ES type or
a beam type. Missile are also neutralized when the being who fired the
missile is hit.

FIGHTING OBORO BISHAMON IN ARCADE MODE

Do not use Auto Guard or Turbo. Do not lose a life. End at least
two matches with a special EX move (see other FAQs for a complete
listing of which EX special is needed).

Here is the easiest way to get to and beat Oboro Bishamon for the
ANITA ending. Have the settings as mentioned before. Select DARK
FORCE CHANGE. Use Dark Force to give him the use of his sword as a
fast reacting missile weapon. Drive the opponent down to 1/4 life and
keep the opponent at a distance. Use Change Immortal/Inner Demon EX
move (MP, LP, B, LK, MK) to finish the opponent when possible. This
applies to the confrontation with Oboro Bishamon too.

SYSTEM NOTES

Under Vampire Savior system, each character has their own
individual endings, mid-bosses.

Under Vampire Savior 2 system, the Boss Enemy is always Jedah

Under vampire Hunter 2, the Boss Enemy is always Pyron.

DARK FORCE CHANGE VS. DARK FORCE POWER

One of the most important decisions for choosing a character is to
decide whether or not to use Dark Force Change or Dark Force Power.
Dark Force Change is generally easier to work in. It is generally
good if you have set the SS meter in options to zero or a low number.
It is a good choice for beginners.
Dark Force Power is more difficult to use. To get the most
enjoyment, it is advised to set the SS meter to a high number, since
maximum enjoyment use will require draining it at an incredible rate.
You will often get an extra power not available under Dark Force
Change. There will usually be one EX move in particular for each
character that appears different from its normal appearance when done
in Dark Force mode.

CHARACTER NOTES

For those moves that need 360 degree turns on the movement
control, using F, D, U is equivalent. Moves that need 720 degree turns
on the movement control is just doing it 2 times.

ANAKARIS

A king who once swore that his kingdom will never fall. Time has
passed, but he has risen again to make sure his kingdom will return
again.

The name of his servant is Khybit. Strangely, some versions of it
lives in his lower body.

Mid-Boss: Q-Bee.

Boss: Jedah. Jedah talks about his goals.

Taunts:
Press Select alone causes a small servant to be kicked out of
AnakarisÕ sarcophagus.
Hold 3 P and press Select, results in a parade of AnakarisÕ lower
bodies.
In a fight between 2 opposing Anakaris, if one causes a parade and
the other presses Select, then this is an alternate taunt.
In a fight between 2 opposing Anakaris, if both uses the lower
body parade, then this is an alternate taunt.

Guard Reversal Special Trap: F, D, DF+2P. Anakaris does his
inhale with a servant.

Anti-pursuit trap: F, D, DF+2K. Anakaris turns into a sphinx that
separates in the middle and traps the opponent in a hell-hole maneuver.

Missile Response Technique:
1) Projectile Catch: D, DB, B+K.
2) Projectile Return: D, DF, F+K.

Level 2 Pharaoh Magic (HK, MP, D, MK, HP) include meteor strikes
and petrification.
Level 3 Pharaoh Magic (HK, MP, LK, D, LP, MK, HP) include turning
the opponents into female form. It is generally superior to DemitriÕs
Midnight bliss in appearance.
Alternate Pharaoh Magic endings can be obtained by holding down
the SELECT button after initiating the move until the sarcophagus drops
on the opponent.
Level 1 Pharaoh Magic (MK, LP, D, LK, MP) alternate ending (hold
SELECT) results in the sarcophagus being upside-down.
Level 2 and 3 Pharaoh Magic (HK, MP, D, MK, HP) (HK, MP, LK, D,
LP, MK, HP) alternate endings results in servant being on top of the
sarcophagus when it falls.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Anakaris splits in two, top and bottom. Punch attacks causes the
top to attack. Kick buttons cause the bottom to attack.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Anakaris Split: LP, LP, D, MK, HK. Effect is same as in Dark
Force Change.
Hell Hole (B, DB, D, DF, F + 2K) is enhanced by using it in Dark
Force mode.

them.

Finish the opponent with ES, EX, or Dark Force, then hold down the

Anakaris.

BABY BONNIE HOOD (also known as B.B Hood and Bulletta)

Arguably one of the few human characters in the game, though some
of her abilities are super-human in nature and she is described as
having a soul that is inhuman.

In some manga stories, B.B. HoodÕs dog is named Harry. She has
many animals around her, including moles, butterflies, etc.

Mid-Boss: Jon Talbain. Jon senses that there is something inhuman
from looking into B.B. HoodÕs eyes.

Boss: Lord Rapter. B.B. Hood kills Jedah in the previous fight
and Lord Rapter says he is the new lord of this world.

Alternate entrance: In a fight versus Jon Talbain, she will be
laying down reading a book at the beginning. When she gets up, her
eyes sparkle briefly.

Taunt: She and her dog play.

Hold D. A flower pops out of the ground.

D+3K. She slides along the ground.

HP causes her to whip out an uzi.

HK causes her drop a small land mine out of her skirt. Can be
combined with movement keys.

B, F+MK causes a mole to appear briefly out of the ground.

B, F+MP causes her to sling her basket forward.

F, F+MP causes her to dash up to opponent and stab with knives.

Use Beautiful Memory as the Special EX needed to get to Oboro
Bishamon.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: All punches become missiles.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Decoy bomb (B, D, DB+2K) is available only in Dark Force Power.
Apple grenade (F, DF, D, DB, B+2K) is enhanced when used in Dark
Force mode. After she gives the opponent the fake apple, a number of
other apple bombs drop out from her to explode at the opponent at the
same time.

BISHAMON

Actually this is just the cursed armor and sword taking over the
role of Bishamon. Bishamon freed himself of the armor and sword in
Dark Stalkers 2, but the armor and sword rose up on their own to
continue killing.

Mid-Boss: Victor.

Boss: Jedah. Jedah tells of his goals.

Alternate entrance: If fighting Oboro Bishamon, Oboro will take
the soul of BishamonÕs armor and place it in his own armor.

Spirit Divider and Slasher Technique:
1) Spirit Hold: B, DB, D, DF, F+P
2) Divider: D, DF, F+P.
3) Sword Slash: F, D, DF+P.

Spirit Retriever Technique:
1) Spirit Hold: B, DB, D, DF, F+P
2) Retriever: B+P.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force Power: Super armor.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Downed Chop (on downed opponent, D, D+2P) is enhanced when done in
Dark Force mode in Dark Force Power. Downed Chop is generally done
after Soul Summon (B+P).
Downed Chop is the special EX needed to reach Oboro Bishamon.

Fatalities:
Finish opponent with ES Uppercut Slash (F, D, DF, F+2P).
Finish downed opponent with EX Downed Chop (on downed opponent, D,
D+2P).
Finish opponent with EX Spirit Squeeze (F, DF, D, DB, B+2P).

DEMITRI MAXIMOFF

Supposedly the most powerful of the vampires with powers beyond
others. Considered to be one of the "royal houses" to lay claim to
ruling Dark Dimension/devil world. Has some personal vendetta and lust
for Morrigan.

Mid-Boss: Bishamon.

Boss: Morrigan.

Taunts:
Taunt 1: He challenges the opponent.
Taunt 2: He takes out hair spray to hold his hair in place.

Midnight Bliss is generally not as good looking as AnakarisÕ Level
3 Pharaoh Magic, though there are some notables.
If used to finish Anakaris, then AnakarisÕ upper body will crawl
off the screen. The upper body separates from the lower body.
There is an alternate version against Huitzil (F, D, DF+hold [LP +
HP]). This causes the clothes to be that of a Japanese school girlÕs
gym uniform.
Felicia does a famous Marilyn Monroe scene.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: Bat helpers are used to double attacks. Very short
range.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Bat Helpers: D, D, DB+2K. Same effect of Dark Force Change.
Demon Pillion (D, F, DF+2K) is enhanced when done in Dark Force
mode.

DONOVAN BAINE

A hybrid of human and "vampire"/dark stalker. He can transform
himself into a demonic form.

Dhylec is the name of his sword (which is sentient). It is also
called "Kill Shred". The "necklace" of holy beads he wears are weapons
and a means of defense, too.

Anita (sometimes Amanda) is the name of the girl that follows him.
She is supposed to be the Light Savior. When she reaches adulthood,
she will have god-like powers.

Mid-Boss: Huitzil. Huitzil attacks Donovan because it canÕt
identify DonovanÕs nature. Huitzil has always been portrayed as being
a bit deranged.

Boss: Jedah. Jedah tells of his plans and indicates that AnitaÕs
potential is a threat to his plans.

Alternate entrance: Against Boss, Donovan and Anita talk to each
other at the beginning.

Spinning Beads: Jumping + P.

Dives:
U, D+LK/MK.
U, D+HK.

Sword Impale Action (D, DB, B+K) can be varied. The location the
sword appears depends on which K is pressed. LK = left part of screen.
MK = same location as character. HK = right part of screen.

Thunder Sword Technique:
1) Sword Impale: D, DB, B+K. Places sword in the ground.
2) Thunder Sword: D, DB, B+P. Lightning strikes the area of the sword.
This can be repeated any number of times and the Donovan can attacks
too.
3) Sword Release: D, DB, B+K. Sword flies through the air, which can
hit the opponent on its way back to Donovan.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: Dhylec spins and launches itself at a distance
determined by the strength of the attack button pressed.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Spinning Dhylec is available in Dark Force Power with B, D, DB+2K.
The strength of the attack determines how far away Dhylec goes before
returning.
Crushing Stomp (B, DB, D, DF, F + K) is enhanced when done in Dark
Force mode.

Change Immortal is the EX special needed to get to Oboro Bishamon.

DONOVAN, DARKSTALKERS 2 VERSION

This is a secret character. Go to DonovanÕs picture in selection
screen. Hold Select and press the color key (P or K). He is used like
Darkstalkers 2 Donovan. His sword use is like in Dark Stalkers 2.

FELICIA

A cute character. She is a "cat-human"/"cat girl". She lives to
become a musical star.

Felicia has been involved with crossover games with Street Fighter
characters and others. In DarkStalkers 1 and 2, she does know about
Blanka. In this game she does mention her adventures with the
crossover games.

Mid-Boss: Morrigan. Morrigan mentions that some man is stalking
her. Presumably she is referring to Demitri.

Boss: Lilith. Lilith says how hopeless the future is.

Alternate entrance: Against Anakaris, Felicia begins the game on
AnakarisÕ head.

Taunts:
Jump on, jump off: when close to the opponent, press Select.
Fake panic nail: B/F+Select.

Head Pounce: Jump on the opponentÕs head.

Wall grab: Jump onto a wall and hold movement key in the direction
of the wall.

Alternate pursuit: On downed opponent, D, D+P.

Super meter charge: D, D+3K. Charges up super meter.

Please Help Me (B, DB, D, DF, F+2K) direction is affected by which
Ks are pressed.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: A cat girl helper appears and attacks when Felicia
attacks.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Cat girl helper: B, D, DB+2K.
Rolling Fury (B, DB, D, DF, F+2P) is enhanced in Dark Force mode.

Get a Perfect, hold Select after K.O. Felicia will jump and yell.

HSIEN-KO (ALSO CALLED REI-REI/LEI-LEI)

Two sisters who sought to right the karmic balance to help their
motherÕs spirit to go to heaven at the risk of destroying their souls.
They sacrifice was enough to earn them a second life, though they find
themselves being forced to take up the powers they had in their
previous life (though without the cost).

Her sisterÕs name is Mei-Ling (also called Lin-Lin). She usually
transforms herself into a the talisman on Hsien-koÕs hat, though in
Dark Force Change and during some victory poses she returns to human
form.

Her weapons are spectral in nature, summoned out of the ectoplasm,
so to speak. Her ghostly nature is such that she can selectively
de-solidify her arms to leave her sleaves. The claws are not a part of
her arms. She needs to be joined to Mei-Ling to do anything extensive
(specials, EX maneuvers).

Mid-Boss: Lord Rapter. Lord Rapter harasses Hsien-ko and attacks
her.

Boss: Jedah.

Taunts:
Basic taunt: Hsien-ko blows on the talisman while whistling.
Extended taunt: Hold the Select button. She blows her
talisman/sister for as long as you hold the Select down.

Air dash: jump and B, B or F, F.

Spectral forward dash: F, F on the ground. She becomes invisible
and briefly indestructible for a few steps.

Spiked ball and chain: F+MP.

Claw and Cain: F+HP. She fires her claws in an upward diagonal.
Used to catch jumping or flying opponents.

Extended saw blade: standing while using HP.

Gound mower: D+HP (can be done from the air as well).

Dark artillery (D, DF, F+P). The path is determined by the
strength of the P button. LP is a low arc. MP is a higher arc. HP
goes straight up and lands in front of her. There are many different
objects that she can throw.

Reversal Gong (D, DB, B+P) can reflect many missiles, though ES
is best.

Tombstone Blades (B, DB, D, DF, F+2K) causes swords to rise out of
the ground that can juggle an opponent in the air.

Time Bomb (B, DB, D, DF, F+2P) has a face that changes with time.
It is the special EX needed to get to Oboro Bishamon.

Iron Rain (LK, HK, MP, MP, U) can down opponents.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: Her sister returns to human form and does mystical
dance in the background, which enhances Hsien-koÕs attacks and
defenses. She has super armor and is somewhat faster but no specials.
Her MP is the same as her standing HP, which extends a long saw blade.
Her HP is the same as her F+HP, which fires her claws in an upward
diagonal.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Time Bomb (B, DB, D, DF, F+2P) has a face that changes with time.
It is enhanced in Dark Force mode in Dark Force Power. Two bombs are
thrown at the same time.

HUITZIL (ALSO CALLED PHOBOS)

For a sophisticated robot it is not very sane. It only protects
those strictly defined to be protected and will kill/destroy anything
else.

Mid-Boss: Pyron.

Boss: Jedah.

Spike Disk: F+HP.

Extended Pincers: F+HK.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: Two units are called that fire weak beams at the
opponent.

Dark Force Power Notes:
2 Beam Units: D, F, DF,+2P/ Same as Dark Force Change effect.
Gatling Assault (F, D, DF+2K) is enhanced when done in Dark Force
mode.

HUITZIL, DARKSTALKERS 2 VERSION

This is a secret character. Go to HuitzilÕs picture in selection
screen. Hold Select and press the color key (P or K). He is used like
Darkstalkers 2 Huitzil. He mainly has the ability to hover.

Final Guardian: F, DF, D, DB, B+2K. Need to verify if the effect
is same as DS2.

JEDAH

The "vampire savior". A demonic being who supposedly died
fighting for what he believed to be for his world (some stories say
MorriganÕs father killed him, though nothing is definite). He seems to
keep reforming himself across time. His goal is to absorb all souls
into himself and channel it into making a god and re-starting the
world, in his own image.

Mid-Boss: Jedah. Apparently the "spirit room" keeps making more
Jedahs or something. There is some indication in the other System
Versions that Jedah keeps coming back into existance. Presumably the
"baby" will later morph into a form like Jedah as well in the future
(god created in his image?).

Boss: Demitri.

Glide: Jump, F, F.

Exploding Pump (F, DF, D, DB, B+K) can be very amusing. Best ones
are versus Lilith and Lord Rapter, expanding T&A respectively.

Decapitation (F, D, DF+P) can be done at any time in Dark Force
Power.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: He gains the ability to fly.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Flight: B, D, DB+2K.
Decapitation: F, D, DF+P.
Contract (B, DB, D, DF, F+2K, then K) is enhanced when done in
Dark Force mode.

JON TALBAIN (ALSO CALLED GALLON)

A werewolf. There are actually two of them in the game. One is
some sort of manifestation of the curse or something similar, while the
other one is the real person. It is ambiguous which is real and which
one is the curse. Presumably the real one is the person who made peace
with himself and was teaching the two children martial arts shown at
the ending story.

Mid-Boss: Baby Bonnie Hood.

Boss: "Dark" Talbain.

Growl: Stand still.

Hop: D+2K.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: Jon gains multiple images that follows him and
increases the number of attacks.
Dragon Cannon: B, DB, D, DF, F+2K.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Multiple Images: B, DB, D, DF, F+2K.
Dragon Cannon : B, DB, D, DF, F+2P.
Moment Slice (LP, MP, F, LK, MK) is enhanced.

JON TALBAIN, DARKSTALKERS 2 VERSION

This is a secret character. Go to Jon TalbainÕs picture in
selection screen. Hold Select and press the color key (P or K). He is
used like Darkstalkers 2 Jon Talbain. The main difference is the
appearance of the Dragon Cannon.

LILIGAN

Placement of this characterÕs story is unknown. In Marvel VS.
Capcom (and in the ending stories for this game), the merging of
Morrigan and Lilith resulted in a being who looked like Morrigan, but
was far more powerful.

Liligan is used the same as Lilith. The only difference is that
she has MorriganÕs color selection and voice.

LILITH

She started as a fragment of Morrigan, but was cut off due to her
fatherÕs far that the excess power would destroy her. Lilith now seeks
to return to the body. She helps Jedah, but for her own reasons.

Mid-Boss: Jedah. Jedah says his goals are more important than
LilithÕs.

Boss: Morrigan. Morrigan taunts Lilith that she is fading away.

Alternate entrance: Hold Select before the fight begins. Lilith
will say something.

Super Jump: D, Upward motion.

Gloomy Puppet Show (B, DB, D, DF, F+2K) is very amusing. It has
tunes that play. Some keys make the opponent say things. This is the
special EX move to get to Oboro Bishamon.
There are 6 patterns that you need to know to obtain maximum
points. This can be considered 12 patterns if you separate the basic
patterns from the advance patterns. The difference in the advance
pattern from the basic pattern is that one of the keys requires being
tapped twice when it comes up and some of the keys are not indicated on
LilithÕs sign (or is occuring too fast to be noticeable). The advance
patterns are presented here and are taken from Sakura and LilithÕs web

He has an assistant, named La Malta, that looks like a slimy
one-eyed creature with the ability to change its shape. It apparently
has a thing for human girls.

Mid-Boss: Hsien-ko. She talks briefly to Lord Rapter in a
friendly way. Lord Rapter acts like a sexual predator and attacks
Hsien-ko.

Boss: Jedah.

Alternate Entrance 1: Against Hsien-ko, he drools briefly.
The taunt against Hsien-ko is the same and the entrance.
Alternate Entrance 2: Against B. B. Hood, Le Malta drools.
The taunt against B.B. Hood is Le Malta trying to get B.B.
HoodÕs attention, by Rapter kicking him for doing so.

Toxic Bone: F+HP.

ES Death Phrase guard cancel: (F, D, DF+2K). Music counter.

Hell Dunk: F. D. DF+2P. Turns the opponent in a ball form.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: Le Malta turns into a chain saw and Lord Rapter
attacks.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Le Malta Saw: B, D, DB+2K.
Evil Slash (F, B+2K) is enhanced when done in Dark Force mode in
Dark Force Power.

MARIONETTE/THE ULTIMATE CHAOS?

This is a secret character. Go to "?" in the selection screen and
press SELECT 7 times. Then press P or K. Marionette animates and
empowers copies of those it fights. The characteristics of its copy
does not differ from those it is fighting.
It has its own music, though its ending page is the same as
Shadow. The ending music is different from the regular ending music.
There are some manga stories that imply that Marionette could
control those it defeats, similar to Shadow, though this is not true in
the game.

MORRIGAN AENSLAND

A female demon (succubus type). A "queen" of one of the "royal
houses". Easily bored and loves the thrill of fighting.

Dark Force: An image of Morrigan appears behind the opponent.

OBORO BISHAMON

The real Bishamon. He freed himself of the cursed armor and sword
and has become a monk. He can call up a form of the powers he once
had, though some are different.

This is a secret character. Go to BishamonÕs picture in selection
screen. Hold Select and press the color key (P or K).
He is the original wearer of the armor and sword, who freed
himself from the curse. He can summon the power he had previously. He
lacks the spirit attacks of Bishamon, but he has his own that makes him
very powerful.
Secret items are largely the same as BishamonÕs with some new
ones.

2nd hit punch: F + tap P twice.

Spirit Punch: B, D, DB+2P.
Slicing Chop (on downed opponent, D, D+2P) is enhanced in Dark

PYRON

An energy-based alien being. In some ways, he has a personality
similar to Morrigan, in that he lives for the thrill of fighting.

Dive Punch: Jump, Downward direction +P.

Nuclear Umbrella: D+HP.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: An image helper appears that attacks when he attacks.

Piled Hell (F, D, DF + 2K) is available in Dark Force Power.
Cosmic Disrupter (B, DB, D, DF, F, hold 2P/2K. release 2P/2K) is

Q-BEE

Literally, the "queen bee", though it is really all made up of
beings with the same powers. They serve Jedah, but for their own
reasons. After they finish eating all the other souls, they will eat
Jedah and his realm too.

Mid-Boss: Anakaris. Anakaris says she should serve him.

Boss: Jedah.

Homing Dash: Jump, F, F.

Egg Laying (B, DB, D, DF, F+2P) is a somewhat horrifying effect.

Royal Jelly: F, D, DF+2P. A large amount of honey to immobilize
the opponent temporarily.

RIKUO (ALSO CALLED AULBAUTH)

He is a shape-changing "merman". A prince/king of his own
civilization that has since been destroyed. He is seeking to
repopulate his species. In this story his son was kid-napped

Alternate Entrance: Against another Rikuo, he will initially be a
large frog that turns into Rikuo.

Rushing Shell: F, F+HP.

Saw Dive: Jump, D+HK.

ScissorÕs Smash : D, D+2P. Might only be available in LP
character color.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force: A river runs through and Rikuo rides on a horseshoe
crab. Super armor and dashing movement.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Trick Fish (F, D, DF+K) can be done at any time in Dark Force
Power.
Aqua Spread: F, DF, D+ Hold 2P/2K. Release 2P/2K. It is enhanced
in Dark Force mode.

RIKUO, DARKSTALKERS 2 VERSION

SASQUATCH

A creature (called Big Feet) with cold based powers and cute
inhuman abilities. Extremely powerful, but easily distracted. He has
a number of animal friends. Strangely, the ending implies that the
only type of beings that he did not kill for their souls are the Big
Feet. Maybe they would make JedahÕs god too cute or something.

Mid-Boss: Rikuo. Rikuo roughly asks Sasaquatch if he knows where
his son is. Sasquatch does not understand the question, so Rikuo
attacks him.

Boss: Jedah.

Banana Trip Trap: B, DB, D, DF, F+Select. Sasquatch eats a banana
and tosses the peel to the floor, which can trip the opponent if the
opponent walks on it.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force 1: Sasquatch has super armor.
Dark Force 2: Sasquatch has penguin bombs.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Penguin Bombs: B, D, DB+2K.
Thin Ice: B, DB, D, DF, F+2K. It is enhanced in Dark Force mode
in Dark Force Power.

SHADOW/MU/THE ULTIMATE EVIL?

This is a secret character. Go to "?" in the selection screen and
press SELECT 5 times. Then press P or K. Shadow appears behind those
it possess and is only seen when it moves to another victim. It
possess the body of the last person it defeats. The characteristics of
its victim does not change.
It has its own music, though its ending page is the same as
Marionette.

VICTOR GERDENHEIM

A "Frakenstien monster". It is a being of flesh animated by
electricity. He seeks a way to restore Emily (his sister) to life.
For an unknown reason, her power ceased. She looks human and is quite
intelligent.

Mid-Boss: Lilith.

Boss: Jedah.

Hop: D+2K.

Electrical Normal Attacks: Hold P or K.

Great Gerdenheim: B, DB, D, DF, F+2P. then grab and throw.

Dark Force Change Notes:
Dark Force 1: Starts Great Gerdenheim. All Punches become grab
and throws.
Dark Force 2: All attacks are electrified automatically.

Dark Force Power Notes:
Rushing Punch (F, D, DF+2P) is available in Dark Force Power.
Great Gerdenheim: B, DB, D, DF, F+2P. then grab and throw. It is
enhanced in Dark Force mode.
