First, I want to say a few words: This is my first Faq. I usually read
Gamefaqs, and the last thing I would do is to rip off the work of others. For
this reason, I'm not going to explain the process to play Chocobo World, and
I don't want to do a "How to play" for this little game for the
Pocketstation. If you want one of these explanations, just read the three Faqs
posted in GameFaqs about this. I read the FFVIII Pocketstation Faq of The
Dark Eternal(Michael Jhonson), and the FFVIII:Chocobo World Faq by J.T.
Kauffman. These aretwo very good Faqs that you can see in GameFaqs.
I recommend you to read its,I found a lot of good information there.
Because I donït want to repeat the same things, I'm making a Faq about the
strange items that you can found in Chocobo World. If you need help about
playing C.W., I send you to the other three Faqs of C.W. in GameFaqs. I read
the faqs of the Dark Eternal and theone of Kauffman, and I see a little from
the other, and it looks pretty good.

I. Introduction.
================

In this Faq, I will put important information about the items in Chocobo
World. This is the first version of this Faq (and my first Faq). If
GameFaqs decide to post it, I'm decided to actualize it regularly. I want
to make a Faq with the contribution of other people. I don't finish the
game, so I don't know every thing about it. If you have one thing, send
me an e-mail! I'm open to all your contributions. Your opinions will be
published here, and I'll mention you in the Faq.

I will put a lot of names in spanish, because I only have the spanish
version of Final Fantasy VIII, but I'll traduce all these names. Is posible
that the U.S. version had different names if you compare it with my
traduction. Sorry, I live in Barcelona, and I only have this version.

II. Items:
==========

1)CLASS: In C.W. there are four different kinds of items: A,B,C, and D.
The better item is A, and, of course, the worst is D. There are
a lot of different items, but in the PocketStation you can see
only these classification. When you upload the items in FFVIII,
you can see what they are.

2)ITEMS WAITING TO BE FOUND:
There are a lot of items in C.W., but I only explain the items
exclusive of C.W., and the very difficult items of FFVIII what
you can find in C.W.. Anyway, you will find a lot of items like
potions, remedies for darkness, sleeping, etc..., a lot of ammo,
an you will find a good quantity of blue magic spells for
Quistis.
If you want a lot of items without doing anything, you can use
a GameShark or similar, or use a very very good cheat what you
can find in the Faq of The Dark Eternal in GameFaqs, so don't
think about it: read that faq inmediatly.

3)EXCLUSIVE ITEMS OF CHOCOBO WORLD:
I don't know all of these items, because I don't have any A
item. I'm only in my first playing time; If you want more
information about this, read the FFVIII: Chocobo World Faq by
J.T. Kauffman. He explain it very well.
Well, here they are:

*Mog's amulet: When you find the Mog in level 25, you find this
------------ item for a G.F. It will make what one G.F. learn
the abilitie of Mog. This abilitie is for use in
the fights: the character with this abilitie can
summon Mog. Mog will restore all the heal points of
all Guardian Forces.

*FriendShip: You can summon Momba like a G.F., used with the
------------ command object. Momba will attack enemies, with a
maximum hit of 9999.

*Summon Boko: Well, this is really not an item, but is similar
------------ with Momba and Mog. You need to buy ghissal herbs
in FFVIII (where you can obtain a Chicobo). The
boy of the Chocobo Forests will sell it to you.
This herbs isn't expensive, and have a powerful
power. With the command Object, you need to use
one herb in a fight. Then Boko will atack the
enemies. Of course, if you want to make powerful
atacks, you need to raise up Boko in C.W. (more
information in PocketStation Faq of The Dark
Eternal).

NOTE: These three summons needs one thing: Boko and others can't
stay in C.W.. They need to be in FFVIII world.

4)ANOTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS:
In FFVIII there are a lot of items very difficult to find, with
the purpose of transform your arms, learning G.F. abilities,
etc... But if you have a PocketStation, Boko will find a lot
of these items. Now I'm going to explain importants examples of
these items:

*Adamantine:
----------
Basically, you need it to make arms, like the Lionheart.
You need to stole it to the Adamantais, in a beach, when the sea
don't touch the sand, with the abilitie to stole of Diablo, and
Bahamut abilitie for find strange items. Really difficult, but Boko
will find it for you in C.W., without doing anything.
Really cool, isn't it?

*Tentaculo Molbol (Molbol Tentacle):
----------------------------------
You need to stole it of a Molbol. This dangerous creature is in
"Isla m s cerca del Infierno" (Soon of Hell Island). This creature
has an abilitie to make all alterated states in your heroes. Is very
difficult to obtain, and you need it for make arms, and to obtain
the G.F. Helltrain, wich needs 6 Panacea+, 6 "Tubo de hierro" (steel
pipe) and 6 Molbol Tentacles. I obtain the 18 items in C.W.

*Piedra del Vigor (Vigour Stone):
-------------------------------
You need it to make the last arm of Zell (the Ergheiz gloves), and
other things. I stole a few of it of the Great Dragons, and of
others enemies of the cave of the monster what have the G.F. Eden,
when I obtained the LagunaMov (or Ragnarok), But I obtained more soon
than it, thanks to Boko.

*Guardian Forces Abilities:
-------------------------
Yes, yes. I obtained a LOT of abilities for the G.F.'s in Chocobo
World. And all of these abilities are very, very good. A lot of
Atack state, Defense StateX4, Elemental stateX4, Luck junctions,
Evasion junctions, Pnt junctions... A little bit of Stole,
Counterattack... And a few of VIT+80%, FRC+60%, G.F.+50%, LUCK+50%,
abilities for aboid all alterated states... In other words, all the
important abilities of G.F.'s, prepared to be applied to the G.F.
you decide. No need to think about the best G.F.'s combination
groups: You put the abilitie what you like in the G.F. you like.

-I can continue talking about the good items wath you can take in
Chocobo World, but there is no reason to put more examples. With
this, you can see the importance to buy a PocketStation. If you see
another good item to put here, or in section II 3, send me an
e-mail, and I will put it.

III. Frequently Asked Questions.
================================

Ok, here we are. I like to make this section with the colaboration of all
of you, if GameFaqs post this Faq, of course. If you have a question about
the Pocketstation, Chocobo World, etc... Send me an e-mail, and I promise
you that I will answer you in this section. If your question is about of
another thing about Final Fantasy VIII, I will answer it too, but I will put
preference in C.W. questions. And if you discover things I don't know, please
send me an e-mail, and I will put it in this Faq, and I'll thank you.
Well, for start this section, I'm putting a currently question of a lot of
people:

"Where can I get a Pocketstation? I really need one?"

-If you live in the U.S.A., read the Faq of the Dark Eternal about
PocketStation and Chocobo World, or J.T. Kauffman FFVIII Chocobo World Faq.
If you live in Barcelona, I recommend one shop: Game Players. It's really
difficult to buy a PocketStation, but they have a lot of these accesories.
They have a very good service, and are experts about import. They are in
Escocia Street, 15-21, and its telephone number is: 93 408 63 03. The
price is 10000 Pts.(about 62 dollars). Yes, is a lot of money, but is the
more cheap shop of Barcelona (the others sell it by 13000 or 14000 Pts.)
If you don't live in Barcelona, buy a console gaming magazine, and you
find tel. numbers of shops of Madrid. These shops sell it by post.
About the other part of the question, if you are a very good fan of
Final Fantasy VIII, and you have the money, buy one. But think about it:
PocketStation is very expensive (like all the other importated products),
and only FFVIII supports it. In Europe and U.S.A., the option of
PocketStation of japanese games is aborted. In other words, you'll not see
another game with PocketStation option in Occident. Well, with the PS2, is
possibly what the PocketStation will appear here.

IV. Credits and thanks:
======================

I Would like to thank the other Faqs of Chocobo World and PocketStation.
These Faqs are in GameFaqs, and are really good: The FFVIII PocketStation
Faq of The Dark Eternal, and J.T. Kauffman Chocobo World Faq are very good,
and I learn a lot from these Faqs. There are another good Faq of Greg Werner
in GameFaqs. I don't read it, but looks good too. I recommend you to read
these three Faqs. You learn a lot about this mini-game, like I learn a lot
from its.

In thanks section: Thanks to SquareSoft for make RPG's like the great FFVIII
(and FFV, and FFVI, and FFVII, and XenoGears, and SaGa Frontier 2...);thanks
to the people who told me to make this Faq (Can you hear me, Eli?); thanks
to Ivan B. for his demonstration of his PocketStation, and for fight his Boko
