Hi, this is my first FAQ so here goes...

________________________________________________________________________

Monty Python and the Meaning of Life
Part III: The Cottage of Life
Stories and Tales

________________________________________________________________________

First of all, this is NOT a walkthrough. In fact the information here
will do little to nothing to help you win the game....but it IS good
fun...so enjoy!

See CJayC's article for a thorough walkthough (Youll probably have to
consult it anyway, since the bugs in the game will stop you cold WAY too
often)

Anyway...

There are two rooms, the Living Room and the Study...when I refer to the
Study, Im referring to the area in the Study where you can turn 360
degrees.

The Living Room is comprised of three areas, the Organ Area, the TV
Area, and the Computer Area. If your playing the game, you'll know what
Im talking about, and even if youre not, I doubt I have to tell you how
to tell the difference between one area and another.

This is version 1.0 so if anyone wants to make a contribution, email me
at the adress at the bottom of the page.

I. Multiple Location Stories

As the name implies, youll have to travel from location to location to
get the full story...if you get a location before that part of the story
can be told, youll hear related music...if you get the second part of
the Mary Catharine story before youve seen the first, then youll hear
Irish recorder music like the background music heard in the first tale.
You'll also hear this music if you finish the first part of a tale
without going on to the next part.

Sometimes, you'll need to solve certain puzzle to get to certain
sections...and by this I mean you'll have to be able to solve the puzzle
necessary to enter the Study and things like that.

By the way, you'll notice that most of these stories (if not all of
them) finish with a black cube and the subject of the story never being
heard from again...thats a pretty good cue that the story is over. If
you want, you can start over, simply by returning to the first location.

A. Broadnose's Quandry
1st. -- Go to the Computer Area and click on the smiling totem next to
the fireplace on the left

2nd -- When the phone rings (and the totem will ask you to get it), go
to the phone between the two doors in the Living Room

3rd -- Finally, return to the Computer Area and click to move to Timmy.
Click the phone next to the computer.

B. The Chronicle of Thog
1st -- Go to the Organ Area and click on the small African statue on the
left of the organ

2nd -- In the Organ Area, turn to the Bookshelf, and click it. Go up
until you reach the top shelf and click the book titled "African
Warriors"

3rd -- Go to the Study. In one corner there is a wicker chair. Next to
it is a black stand with a mask on it. Click on it.

4th -- At the bottom of the bookshelf in the Study next to the black
stand is a brown book. Click on it.

C. The Yarn of Mary Catharine
1st -- Go to the Computer Area and click the brown curtain in the
corner, next to the bookshelf

2nd -- Go to the area with the two doors in the Living Room, and face
the TV area. Turn a little to the right until you see two jars on the
shelf. Go to them and click on the right jar.

3rd -- Go to the Study and proceed to the Mantle and turn as far to the
right as you can go. Click the black vase at the far right.

D. The Story of Henri
1st -- Go to the Organ Area and turn until you see a doll suspended from
a cage. Click on him.

2nd -- Go to the Computer Area and turn to the right of Timmy and go
down. Go towards the left-handed cabinet, then click on the right-
handed cabinet.

3rd -- In the Computer Area, go straight down from Shaka. Click the
drawers. Click the left-handed drawer.

4th -- In the Study, turn until you see the only corner with a wicker
chair, then click the Greek marble fresco.

E. Hiccolates' Gift
1st -- From the Computer Area, turn to the 3x3 puzzle in the corner. To
the right and down is a golden mask. Click on it.

2nd -- In the Computer Area, turn until you seel a horse's head hanging
on the wall between the two windows.

3rd -- Return to the horse's head.

F. The Redemption of Preacher Bob

arched shelf with a 10-gallon hat on top. Click the hat.

2nd -- From the Organ Area, turn to the arched shelf towards the centre
of the Living Room. Click the 10-gallon hat on top.

G. The Tale of Cap'n Squallid
1st -- Go to the Computer Area and turn to the 3x3 puzzle in the corner.
Click on the wooden face to the puzzle's left. From where you're
standing you should see the face's right profile.

2nd -- In the same area, turn until you see the drawers between the two
doors. Click on the picture of the pirate on the right side of the
shelf.

3rd -- Go to the TV area of the Living Room and turn to the bookshelf.
In the arch, there are four shelves. Click on the doll in the upper
right shelf.

4th -- Move to the Study and turn to the larger bookshelf. On the top
right-handed shelf, there is a statue of a skill on a cherub's body.
Click it.

1. More on Cap'n Squallid
Go to the Study after you've solved the booby puzzle.
Inside, there are three relevant scrolls.
Also, in the Living Room, go to the Computer Area and turn to
the gigantic mouth hanging from the ceiling.

H. The Reasonably Herioc Intention of Fraidicus
1st -- In the Organ Area, turn to the right of the organ, where you'll
find a statue of a Trojan soldier. Click on him.

2nd -- Turn to the left of the organ. Youll find a wooden horse. Click
on it. Alternate as necessary.

This is one of the few tales that only words once. After that, all you
can do is give the soldier the party horn.

II. Single Location Stories

Believe it or not, this section points out the stories that only require
one location. Ive seperated them into areas of the Cottage.

A. In the Computer Area of the Living Room

1. The Saga of Nanatchka -- Turn to the fireplace and go down to the
chair, which has a satchel and some books. Click the books. In
addition to the story, you'll get three skits that never got into their
shows, movies, or records.

2. Judy of Arc -- Turn to Shaka and go down, click on the drawers, the
click the bottom right-hand drawer.

B. In the TV Area

1. Senora Lopez -- Turn to the blue curtain and click on it.

2. Mrs Perkins, the Middle Aged Lady of Atlantis -- Turn to the left
of the curtain. There are three masks on the wall. Click the topmost
one.

3. Shaka Zulu -- Turn to the TV and click on the shelf directly above
the TV. Press the rewind button, then play. Does the scenery look
familiar? Well, pay attention, because there's a hint about the
password of Timmy.

C. In the Organ Area

1. Timmy Zulu -- To the left of the organ and directly above the
wooden horse is a large black mask. Click it and pay attention, because
it also provides a hint about Timmy's password.

D. In the Study

1. The missing testicles -- Turn to the mantle and click on it. Then
click on the black statue towards the right that looks like its holding
animals in its hands.

2. Jeb and the Ark -- Turn to the mantle and go down. To the right of
the Book of Nonsense are two gold angel statues. Click them.

E. My Personal Favorites...Which Also Happen to Be in the Study

1. Haji Punjabi's Visions -- Turn to the corner where the exit is.
Standing on a black speaker is a wooden Indian head. Click it.

2. The Sad Story of Bibby -- Turn to the corner with the Ziady poster.
Down and to the left of it is a wooden doll. Click it. This is one of
the few stories where you see the object that is making everybody
disappear.

3. Granny Venom-Dripping Spider Fangs -- Turn to the corner with the
poster. Directly below it is a statue of a head with two legs. Click
it.

III. Neither a Tale nor a Story

This is just some random stuff that may or may not add to your
experince. And I may or may not add to it in the future. Remember, if
there's anything Ive missed that you want to see in the Stories FAQ,
email me.

1. In the Computer Area, turn until you see a large mouth hanging from
the ceiling. Directly below that is a wooden head siting on a brown
blanket. Click it and get the concerto. Just for giggles, click the
head, DONT tkae the concerto, leave, return, and click the head again.

2. In the Computer Area, turn to where you can see two red chairs.
Click on the head on the left chair.

3. In the Computer Area, turn so that you see a doll's head on a urinal
between two doors. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesnt. Click
it.

4. Raise your hand if you got brutally irritated by those annoying
intermission questions. You know who you are...that's right ALL of
you...I mean, let's face it...there are about 125 friggin questions!
Guess what? They actually have a purpose...its like a Mad Lib...when
you hear the story of the Meaning of Life the little bit that the man in
the TV kicks in are your answers from those annoying questions.
Thrilling, eh?

IV. And Finally -- Dennis Moore

1. In the study, turn to the wall between the two windows and click on
the picture of the aristocrats. Now click on the top one.

2. Also, turn to the mantle and go down. Click the basket to the
left. This is where you actually pick up Dennis Moore, but afterwards,
this is where the chorus sings.

NOTE -- the songs progresses as the other stories are told

There are also other locations to find Dennis Moore...at least 3, if you
want me to add them, email me and I will.

Right...now for the acknowlegements.

First of all, Id like to thank CJayC for his fine Walkthrough. The
puzzles werent so painful, but without his codes, Id still be on Live
Organ Transplants. If your having problems with bugs (and there are an
inexcusably large number of uncorrected bugs), he's got the answers.

Obviously, Id like to thank GameFAQ for letting my dump my first FAQ on
you.

Id definately like to thank Monty Python's Flying Circus for bringing
out this great game, plus tons of entertainment on all sorts of media.

Also to 7th Level for actually publishing the game...next time, hire a
playtesting crew, you KNOW there are tons of fans who would kill to help
out.
