Atmospheric Slavic mystery arrives on PS5, with a new trailer released today
March 19, 2026 Bielsko-Biała, Poland – IMGN.PRO and The End of the Sun Forge today announced that The End of the Sun, the atmospheric first-person mystery adventure inspired by Slavic folklore, will launch on PlayStation 5 on April 21, 2026.
To mark the announcement, the teams have released a new trailer, giving PlayStation players a first look at the game ahead of its upcoming launch.
Set in a world shaped by ancient beliefs, seasonal rites, and forgotten stories, The End of the Sun invites players into a mysterious, folklore-rich experience centered on exploration, discovery, and atmosphere. As players unravel the secrets of a mystical world inspired by Slavic mythology, they will piece together stories woven through ritual, memory, and time.
Developed as a fully independent project by a two-person team over the course of eight years, The End of the Sun stands out not only for its distinctive setting, but also for the care behind its creation. To build the game's world, the developers drew on extensive research and used photogrammetry to scan real objects and entire buildings from ethnographic museums, bringing forgotten traditions and material culture into the game with unusual authenticity.
