Paws on the Snow: Wild Woods Reveals the Frozen Biome "Snowsickle Peaks"
New boss fight, freezing mechanics, and enemy variants await brave kittens starting Monday, March 9th.
Hamburg, Germany – March 6, 2026 – The co-op action adventure Wild Woods is about to grow freezing and more dangerous. Developer Octofox Games and publisher Daedalic Entertainment today reveal "Snowsickle Peaks," a brand-new third biome arriving in the game's Early Access version on March 9.
After braving the Ever-Emerald Forest and Razorleaf Marshes, players will soon guide their feline adventurers into the icy mountain ridges of Snowsickle Peaks, where freezing temperatures, dangerous cliffs, and new enemies await. The biome introduces new gameplay mechanics and a boss encounter designed to challenge even the most coordinated teams of kittens.
The freezing environment adds new survival considerations: resources may appear frozen solid, while the cold threatens wandering adventurers. To stay warm, players can craft torches at the wagon, bringing light into the night and melting frozen resources when placed in the snow.
The update also introduces five new enemy variants, including alternate versions of porcupines, badgers, boars, and rabbits, appearing across all three biomes with new combat behaviors. Additional improvements include a refined soundscape, four new Steam achievements, and two unlockable cat skins. Check out the Steam Community Hub for a full list of information.
Wild Woods is currently available in Early Access on Steam, with console versions planned for PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S.
