Wuthering Waves Version 3.1 Revealed in Latest Preview Broadcast
Today, the award-winning action RPG Wuthering Waves unveiled details about its upcoming Version 3.1 update, titled For You Who Walk in Snow, during its latest Preview Special Broadcast.The presentation revealed new main story content, including [Chapter III Act III] The Star That Voyages Far and a follow-up chapter [Segue: Afterstory] All That Sunlight Touches, alongside the introduction of new playable Resonators Aemeath and Luuk Herssen. Completing the new main story chapter will unlock the free Rover outfit, Perpetual Spark, also revealed during the broadcast. Players can also expect a brand-new snowy area known as the Roya Frostlands - Frostlands Surface when the update launches on February 5.
Version 3.1 places a strong emphasis on gameplay improvements and quality-of-life updates, including:
- Faster, easier leveling, with new batch tools for upgrading Echoes and improved ways to work toward specific Echo sets
- Simplified material farming, with direct map tracking to enemies that drop needed upgrade materials
- Major upgrades to the Expedition Motorbike, including:
- The new Glacier Track ability, enabling traversal across open water
- Improved navigation with enhanced autopilot and fast travel to nearby beacons
- Better mobile controls, including an optional joystick control scheme and smoother camera adjustments while riding
- Performance improvements on PC and mobile, reducing loading stutter and improving overall stability on lower-spec devices
- Enhanced visuals and immersion, with expanded high-end graphics support on select mobile devices and improved environmental detail in snow-covered areas
- Expanded controller support, including vibration feedback across more gameplay scenarios on PC and console
