In The Road of Dust and Sorrow, a cure created to end famine becomes humanity's ruin. The failed experiment twists people into feral creatures known as Dusters, driven by a relentless and primal hunger.
Ten years later, Katherine and her daughter Ava roam the broken remains of civilization in search of a safer future. Their presence draws the attention of a mysterious preacher and his cult followers, but the true threat is an ancient hunger that sees humans as fertile soil.
