Physics 2.0, Force Feedback overhaul, better AI, new car and many more!

Warsaw, 28th of July 2025 – a real treat for all racing games fans is here, and  JDM: Japanese Drift Master is part of the fun. Gaming Factory team is excited to share that our flagship title joins the Steam Racing Fest 2025 with a dedicated 25% discount!

The occasion for celebration is double, as in addition to participating in this amazing event, JDM: Japanese Drift Master is now enriched with the brand-new Patch 1.6.0. This biggest update yet brings sweeping changes to the heart of the game, significantly transforming in-game physics, overhauling wheel support, and improving NPCs' AI, while also introducing a host of exciting new features.

This patch, alongside all of the previous updates has truly transformed the game:

However, the novelties of Patch 1.6.0 do not end there. Thanks to the input of thousands of players and our dedicated community, we've been busy adding more content, features and fixes to the game. Here's a brief rundown of today's changes:

  • New Legendary Car - another iconic car, Honda NSX NA1 (1992), has joined the JDM fleet completely for free.

  • New Drifting Spot & Underground Event - we opened up a multi-level garage in the Guntama Port area paired with the new Underground Side Mission, in which you climb to the top floor and then down again to street level in a drift challenge.

  • Physics 2.0 - a ground-up rework of in-game physics, greatly improving the overall driving experience, especially in grip races. The changes will be felt across all input devices and driving models (arcade and simcade).

  • Steering Wheel Overhaul - we've made a deep dive into our systems and reworked the support for FFB from the ground up. We are also upgrading our in-game setup - you will find more settings to adjust and tailor the driving experience just the way you want. No more uncontrollable oversteering.

  • Better Traffic AI - we've completely redone our detection system and updated the traffic behaviour, ensuring that life on the road feels more realistic.

  • Opponent AI Rework - the opponents are now smarter on the track, looking for the best possible route, taking into account other cars to calculate their reaction.

  • And Much More - the update is packed with tons of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements that make the entire game smoother and more immersive.

That said, Patch 1.6.0 goes beyond the scope of a regular update to the game, and it serves as an ideal addition to the progress we've already achieved since the game's release.

What else has changed in the 60 days of support for JDM: Japanese Drift Master since its debut?

  • Optimization - from resolving stuttering issues, to providing FSR support for AMD cards, we introduced numerous optimization improvements for smoother gameplay.

  • Tuning Accessibility - we've added an automated car setup feature to make tuning more accessible. With one click, you can now instantly switch your car's setup between stock, grip, or drift – perfect for players who just want to race without diving deep into tuning.

  • New content - two new cars now have been added to the game completely for free - Subaru Impreza GV STI last month and the NSX NA1 today. We've also introduced a 9 missions-long side story, playable directly from the open world. Furthermore, the game has been enhanced with a much-anticipated Photo Mode and a completely new Landmarks activity feature to pair it up, as well as Steam Trading Cards, Cloud Saves, UI enhancements and more!

JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be 25% off on Steam during the Steam Racing Fest 2025. It's hard to imagine a better moment to hit the streets of Guntama, so join thousands of racing enthusiasts all over the world now and let the biggest drifting adventure of your life begin!
