Grifford Academy Launches into Early Access
Ahead of a wider 1.0 release in 2026, the coming-of-age RPG Grifford Academy has today launched into Early Access.
LandShark Games aims to fully embrace open development, inviting players to participate in the remaining design, enriching the game with new features and improvements.
"Early Access was always something we wanted to dial into with Grifford Academy," said Paul Naylor, Founder of LandShark Games. "Our game has a strong character focus, but this extends well outside of the narrative. It's a game about growth in many forms, and EA allows us to explore that fully, especially from a more systemic perspective. Players' insights and feedback will help us plot a path to 1.0."
Grifford Academy is a "lite academia" RPG with a streamlined combat system, weaving together turn-based strategy, ambitious isekai storytelling, and a rich character growth system. Players will join Erika, Viva, and Cap as teenage turmoil clashes with ancient magic and sinister forces in the mystical book realm of Caldria.
The Early Access phase brings updates with iterations and improvements, as well as a roster of planned new features including Recipe Hunting, Pets and a Roguelite Mode. These will be prioritised and implemented with community preference in mind. Grifford Academy's EA Roadmap has been made available in a new Steam post made public with the launch.
The game is available now for $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.79, with an introductory 20% off for launch.
