One More Game Serves Up Next Meat Lab Playtest for
Body Swapping Co-op Roguelite, SWAPMEAT, Beginning March 6
Today, independent developer One More Game revealed the dates for its next Meat Lab playtest for SWAPMEAT, the 'totally normal' co-op roguelite third-person shooter where you swap body parts with the alien weirdos you fight to steal their abilities. Running from March 6-12, players can get a taste of the game's newest updates and go hands-on with the latest and greatest advancements in alien meat technologies from Rangus Meats.
Players can sign up now for Meat Lab access to experience the game's delightfully squishy – and surprisingly deep – meat-swapping gameplay mechanic at playSWAPMEAT.com. Currently in development for PC and macOS via Steam, eager Meat Scientists are encouraged to add SWAPMEAT to their Steam wishlist today.
The latest Meat Lab will run from March 6 at 10 a.m. PT through March 12 at 5 p.m. PT. Players who refer three friends will guarantee access for their entire squad (while supplies last).
The latest updates and improvements in this juicy new build include:
- Dastardly New Factions – Face off against two brand-new enemy factions, the Mutants and Aliens, each with four devious enemy types. Blast them to chunky bits and claim their leftovers to augment your character with increasingly bizarre body parts and powerful new abilities.
- A Whole New World – Discover the next planet on Rangus Meats' harvest list, a Mutant homeworld teeming with danger. Even the most seasoned Meat Scientists will find this a tough cut to carve.
- Story Progression – Take your first bite of SWAPMEAT's meaty plot. Founder Carl Rangus now offers Employee Rewards, tracking your progress and celebrating outstanding employees with recognition badges, and granting access to new areas and latent powers.
- Mutated Abilities – Experiment with augmented mutations to create unique builds on the fly. Mix and match damage types – fire, ice, slime, electric, and kinetic – to different body parts for unexpectedly destructive results.
- Rangus Meats Quality Control – Enjoy even tastier gameplay with a buffet of quality-of-life improvements, including:
- Integrated voice chat
- Full controller support
- A new player health bar and re-tuned health system
- More surprises in the latest patch notes
