LETCHWORTH, UK: Blaze Entertainment is excited to unveil Tomb Raider Collection 2, a new multi-game cartridge featuring two classic Tomb Raider titles: Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider: Chronicles.
As milestones in one of the most beloved gaming franchises of all time, both games showcase the creative ingenuity, gripping narratives, and intricate level design that helped define Lara Croft as a cultural icon. Fans can once again immerse themselves in the atmospheric puzzles and high-stakes action that made these titles groundbreaking when first released, in their original 32-bit form, with performance improvements optimising the experience for Evercade players and those playing on modern displays.
For the first time on a 32-bit platform, this collection also includes the previously exclusive bonus level originally distributed via The Times Newspaper. This rare level, set in a mysterious Egyptian tomb, has been faithfully converted to this cartridge, making it accessible to console players for the very first time.
This cartridge will be part of the red-coloured home console line and be numbered #45. The price of this cartridge is £24.99, $29.99, and €29.99, and it will release in April 2025, with pre-orders opening on February 28, 2025 through all Evercade retailers.
Tomb Raider Collection 2 includes:
- Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (1999) – Follow Lara Croft on a thrilling quest across Egypt as she uncovers the secrets of an ancient tomb, encounters supernatural forces, and fights to survive. Packed with puzzles, action, and stunning locations, this game is a celebrated classic and a key title in Lara’s illustrious career.
- Tomb Raider: Chronicles (2000) – A unique retrospective on Lara’s past adventures, blending new challenges with glimpses of her earlier escapades. From high-tech heists to mythological mysteries, this game showcases Lara’s versatility and enduring charm.
- The Times Bonus Level – Originally released in 2000 as a standalone level for PC users through The Times Newspaper, this special level is set in a mysterious Egyptian tomb. It has now been meticulously converted for inclusion in the 32-bit version, marking the first time it has been playable on in 32-bit form. The level is available from the in-game menu for Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation
“With Tomb Raider Collection 2, we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Crystal Dynamics and to offer fans another chance to relive Lara Croft’s timeless adventures,” said Blaze Entertainment’s CEO, Andrew Byatt. “Including this unique conversion of the rare Times bonus level is a real treat for Evercade and Tomb Raider fans, allowing them to experience a truly unique chapter of Lara’s history.”
This cartridge will be compatible with all Evercade hardware, including previous, current, and upcoming devices. It will also work seamlessly with HyperMegaTech! Super Pocket consoles. Firmware updates may be required to support these games.
Notes
Evercade was first released in 2020 as a handheld device with ten gaming cartridges of classic console licenses. Since then it has grown to two other hardware devices (listed below) and now has over 60 physical cartridge collections and over 500 games across the entire ecosystem.
Evercade devices play games via emulation on bespoke cartridges. These physical releases play the games contained and come in a physical case with a full-colour manual, custom written by Blaze with controls, hints and tips, and interesting facts about the titles and developers.
Evercade emulates a wide range of systems (including 8, 16, 32, and 64-bit consoles, handhelds, THEC64, and Amiga home computers, and arcade games), as well as natively run games, and also highlights modern retro games created by indie developers, with support for five decades of gaming.
Evercade cartridges have three distinct colour schemes to highlight their content. Red-coloured boxes feature home console collections from multiple systems across five decades of gaming. Purple indicates arcade game collections and Blue is for home computer collections.
