Embark on a culinary quest through the fantastic, storied world of Gielinor, experiencing recipes from and inspired by Jagex’s beloved games. Written by Sandra Rosner (World of Warcraft: The Dragonflight Codex) with recipes developed by Jarrett Melendez (My Pokémon Baking Book), more than 50 recipes will chart the course for a legendary quest through hallowed RuneScape lore that includes a vast array of savoury and sweet dishes from some of the game’s most delicious moments like the “Recipe for Disaster Quest”! Among other treats, adventurers can look forward to creating their very own incarnations of the beloved Baked Potato, Cake (four ways), stackable Purple Sweets, and gnome specialties from Gianne’s Restaurant!
While the call to adventure will always require will and a certain amount of daring, inexperienced kitchen crusaders need not worry. Full-colour photography, step-by-step instructions, and a wide variety of recipes for all skill levels ensure that even novice cooks need not fear the Culinaromancer!
Each copy of the cookbook comes with a code for a new and exclusive Chef’s Outfit, which RuneScape players can redeem in the game.
RuneScape: The Official Cookbook is due to be published in April 2024 alongside a beautiful hardcover Map of Gielinor journal to aid in tracking achievements and savouring the journey through the games!
About the Authors
Jarrett Melendez grew up on the mean, deer-infested streets of Bucksport, Maine. A former chef and line cook, Jarrett has worked in restaurants, diners, and bakeries throughout New England and Mexico, and got instruction on Japanese home cooking from some very patient host mothers when he lived in Tokyo and Hiroshima. He’s been a professional writer since 2009, but started working as a recipe developer and food writer in 2020. His work has appeared on Bon Appétit, Saveur, Epicurious, and Food52, and he is the author of My Pokémon Baking Book, and The Comic Kitchen, an upcoming fully illustrated, comic-style cookbook.
Sandra Rosner is a novelist, lore writer and developmental editor living in the Seattle area. Her most recent work, The World of Warcraft: The Dragonflight Codex: (A Definitive Guide to the Dragons of Azeroth) is the result of a lifelong love of both gaming and fantasy. When not crafting worlds of her own, Sandra enjoys TTRPGs and streaming her gameplay on Twitch as LadyvonFrost.
