Left Alive is an upcoming survival-action-shooter headed to PS4 and Steam, and it is looking pretty damn good.
They've got quite the team putting it together, too: created by veteran developers, look who you got: Toshifumi Nabeshima the director of the Armored Core series, Yoji Shinkawa, the character designer of the Metal Gear Solid series, and Takayuki Yanase, the mech designer of Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Left Alive tells a "human story" (I hate when they use that descriptor) of survival from three different characters during the invasion of war-torn Novo Slava in 2127.
Being a mech/war game, you'll find the usual cadre of armored vehicles, beefed up soldiers with dope ass tech and big ass, towering mechs to destroy. You'll be able to choose your playing style to a degree, getting down with fast paced, frenetic gun battles if you're feeling hyper or you can dispatch your enemies with stealth and smarts. There are traps to set, consumables to collect and craft, and a bombed out, devastated city ravaged by war to explore. In the process, you'll uncover the full story behind the war through the eyes of three different characters, unlocking multiple story paths as you shoot your way through.
Left Alive is set for release sometime in 2018.
