Westworld was a bit of the phenomenon last year, and although it didn't "change the face of television" as so many were claiming it would, it was an interesting and new premise, which you don't get on telelvision often. Surrounding a fantasy world a bit like the Matrix, people can enter a world with amazingly lifelike robots who they can fight, kill, bang and pretty much anything inbetween in a kind of weird android themepark. It helped the hsow quite a bit that heavy hitters like Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris starred, backed by solid lesser players like Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden and Eddie Rouse.
This strange vacation reality eventually goes awry, as corporate espionage, greedy "hosts" and sentient robots throw a wrench in the smoothly operating park, and the ending of the first season flipped the script and blew the status quo out the window. In this trailer, it seems that countermeasures are being taken, and a new world is introduced, this time, with a Japanese theme.
Check out the trailer below, and keep an eye out of the premiere of Westworld Season 2 on April 22nd.
