Frostpunk's Stellar Soundtrack Gets A Limited Vinyl PressingVideo Game News Online, Gaming News

Frostpunk is a harrowing, frantic, stressful blast, and the musical score is pretty incredible. The game has great immersion, and that's thanks in no small part to the amazing soundtrack, created by composer Piotr Musiał. The sounds of the frozen tundra are an intrinsic part of the game experience, and really sets the tone of this desolate, mostly hopeless. Today, a dev diary video was released with some details behind the production and the musical score, which you can watch below.

The limited pressing vinyl edition will feature 10 tracks from the game, and has been remastered and pressed on top-notch quality 180gr vinyl. Releasing on October 26th, with a super limited  500 copies available, you can get yours on game music records' online store for $35 USD plus shipping.

If you haven't had the chance to check out Frostpunk, it's a city-survival game set on an alternate, frozen Earth where heat is more important than anything, and you must make terrible, tragic decisions to try and preserve life in your city. Our reviewer had this to say about the title:

"Although there is some room for improvement with the interface, Frostpunk is a challenging title that doesn't hold your hand, and the end result is an amazing piece of work. With a high difficulty curve, don't expect to ace it your first time, but instead consider each playthrough an experiment. This game should be on the radar of any fan of the genre."

A DLC was just released, called the Fall of Winterhome, and it's free to anyone who owns the original title, and we enjoyed the expansion as well, with our reviewer praising the lore and new mechanics.

"If you like Frostpunk, you'll like Winterhome and it's really that simple. From a lore perspective, it's nice to see what happened before the main game, but remember: Winterhome is a doomed city, and its days are numbered. You can try all you want to delay the inevitable, you can do your very best, but you will fail. And that's actually pretty great."
