Roguevania hack em up, Dead Cells is launching out of Early Access and will be a full fledged PC release in August of 2018, and the good news is, it's already pretty much crushing it in the reviews. Dead Cells puts you in control of a failed alchemic experiment trying to figure out what's happening to a sprawling, ever-changing island, where haters are roaming everywhere. Looking like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night with some more color, Motion Twin is promising "tough but fair combat, responsive controls, challenging foes, permadeath and of course, the emergency panic roll to get you out of trouble." I gotta tell you, the trailers already make me want to play this quite badly.
Motion Twin has been making good use of Early Acess, and they've already released six updates, with a seventh on the way, as in, now. Basically, by the time you are reading this, the Baguette update will be in full effect, bringing about a major rework of the core game, including a total overhaul of the item upgrade system "The Forge", legendary item drops, new ways to customize items, a revamped UI and basically the all around polish that you would expect from a complete game.

"With the seventh update rolling out on Early Access, Dead Cells is very close to being content complete, the lore being the last piece of the puzzle we're working on for launch day. Although version 1.0 definitely won't be the end, as we've already promised one major free DLC to the community that made all of this possible."
Featuring progressive exploration of an interconnected world, more than fifty weapons and spells to unlock and find, completely nonlinear progression with new paths to be unlocked and uncovered, the game is going to be chalk full of hidden passages and secret rooms. Currently available in Early Access on Steam and GOG.com, you can grab this title up for $19.99 USD, but do it soon, because it's out of early access in August, and the price will most likely go up.
