Ok. At first I was excited about Black Ops 4 and now? I am not, and I'll tell you why. I just read that Black Ops 4 will not have a traditional single player campaign.
What?
Seriously, why not? There was a time when the Call of Duty series was primarily a single player game! Hearing something like this makes me not want to even touch this game.
Before you flip out, and start calling me a hater or whatever, hear me out. The last single player campaign in the series wasn't the most amazing in the world, but it was enjoyable, and this new title has so much potential. Let’s say this is going to be a boots on the ground Black Ops 4 game. Now, imagine the possibilities of the single player experience. You could be a spy sent into North Korea to prevent a nuclear conflict between them and the United States. It could cover the Black Ops mission that happened during the Gulf War.
Now, let those possibilities slip away, and replace them with a battle royale mode.
Uhhhh. Ok. So, that's it. No single player experience for this game?
I’m done.
Seriously, I am done with this! Why the hell can’t we get a workable single player campaign? Is it because Treyarch doesn’t want to spend the money on developing it?
I have put up with the extremely similar combat, similar and recycled locations and assets. But this? This transgression will not stand.
