Or is it the other way around? Does Code Vein look too much like God Eater 3? Hard to tell at this point.
The newest title from Bandai Namco, God Eater 3, welcomes you to the Ashlands, which are huge, uninhabitable regions of the world, which forces the bulk of humanity to live in underground shelters called Ports. The hero of the game, along with his side-kick, Hugo Pennyworth (who, from that name alone I assume used to be a butler), have both developed some resistances to the toxic Ashland air, making them stronger than normal God Eaters. Those same resistances have built up in the Aragami, causing them to become stronger than normal, and are considered "Ash Aragami", and two of these hulking beasts are Anubis and Ra, seen in the trailer below.
God Eater 3 will also feature two new kinds of God Arcs; the Biting Edge, which is a dual bladed weapon, and the Ray Gun, a ranged weapon that fires, well, rays of energy, and you can see them in action in the trailer as well.
Although this looks a decent amount like Code Vein (which, in turn looks a lot like an anime Dark Souls), I trust Bandai Namco to have some tricks up their sleeve. Take a look at the trailer below, and let me know what you think.
