Firefly Studios Release Stronghold Crusader 2: Ultimate Edition

Today Firefly Studios will launch Stronghold Crusader 2: Ultimate Edition and Stronghold Crusader 2: The Jackal & The Khan, the final DLC expansion for the castle sim sequel.

Stronghold Crusader 2: Ultimate Edition contains the complete package of Stronghold games, music, art and exclusive in-game content. This includes 70 single player missions, 16 characters, 5 game modes, a digital art book, soundtrack, Stronghold Crusader HD and a second copy of Crusader 2 to gift to a friend. Four DLC character packs feature fan favourite The Pig, returning Stronghold characters and newcomers like the zealous Templar. Previously exclusive to pre-orders, this new edition of the game also includes ‘Delivering Justice' and 'Freedom Fighters' bonus mini-campaigns.

Their horsemen ride like thunder across the plain, like the kings of old! Stronghold Crusader 2: The Jackal & The Khan adds an additional singe player campaign and a duo of new AI opponents. Two warlords destined to lead their forces across the desert wilds, The Jackal and The Khan are outcasts forced to survive on their wits and the loyalty of their men. The animalistic Khan and the fearless Jackal represent the ultimate challenge for Stronghold players. The final expansion for Stronghold Crusader 2, The Jackal & The Khan adds nine new missions, two characters, achievements and new castle designs to the game.

• Stronghold Crusader 2 has also been updated with five new skirmish maps:
• Deep in Trouble - The central estate lies heavily exposed in an open canyon, making it vulnerable to attacks from other players.
• Lakes - Heavy rainfall has produced an area of lush fields and vegetation in the middle of the desert! Each player has ample space to expand, though village estates are not distributed evenly.
• Across the Chasm - Wage epic battles over the edge of a great canyon as your armies pass along the precipice joining its two edges. The route is long and advancing south will involve a treacherous uphill battle.
• Malicious Lands - Building up an economy is no easy task for the central player, who must start by fighting off the roaming lions and outlaws. Meanwhile the south east player has an easily defendable corner to turtle from, if they wish.
• In the Shallows - Attacks may come from any side on this largely traversable flood plain of lakes and streams. Defending is difficult, given the natural openness of the map.
