On May 15, 2013, Thrillion, an independent game production company, launched a Kickstarter campaign for their latest PC/Mac game ‘Barbarian Brawl.’ Created by a team that has a decade of experience making video games, this new Kickstarter aims to bring more characters, weaponry, and maps to the project.

“Barbarian Brawl is a complete crime of passion. I’ve made online games for years at big publishers and decided now was the time to make a game that can bring a real burst of entertainment to gamers.” – Thrillion CEO Rob Ollett

Described as a “3rd person action packed multiplayer arena battler,” this game challenges players to make their way through a 20 person PVP (player vs. player) battlefield to collect ‘ham’, which is required to level-up or purchase improved weaponry.

Players can choose from a set of six characters and a variety of weapons, including swords, axes, and scythes. The object is to eliminate other players while also navigating through a variety of traps meant to harm and weaken characters. Through leaderboards and a scoring system, players can compare how they are doing with friends and other players.

“Barbarian Brawl is starting its life on Steam and Kickstarter, but has the potential to grow into a fun community game. We want to interact very closely with gamers who are into our title and let them help us develop it over the coming months and years.” – Thrillion CEO Rob Ollett

The team will be running their Kickstarter campaign until Sat, Jun 14 2014. Backers can choose from a variety of rewards including a limited edition Barbarian Brawl t-shirt, a digital download of the game, or the ability to have a special barbarian character made after them, which will be included in the game.
