Croatian indie development studio Ironward is happy to announce that thanks to the awesome community support its first crowd-funding project named “The Red Solstice” has already reached the 34% of the founding goal within just 10 days and is still growing strong. To celebrate and following backers comments, the development team decided to demonstrate the single player campaign in a brand new gameplay video.

In The Red Solstice you control one of the eight space marines that are trying to find out what happened to human colonies on Mars during that storm. The mix of a dark and gritty Science Fiction setting and addictive adrenaline filled gameplay – based on advanced tactics and quick decisions – is what makes up a great atmosphere and gameplay experience.

The Red Solstice is divided into about 1 hour sessions during which players need to scavenge for supplies, find and fortify the base and then defend it from an almost infinite amount of monsters to finally evacuate survivors. An experience based character development system, as well as upgrading your space marines equipment during sessions is another fundamental part of the gameplay.
