After 35 days of crowdfunding through Kickstarter, Visionary Realms, Inc. has earned over $400,000 USD in pledges for the upcoming MMO game, Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. The California-based development studio plans to continue crowdfunding beyond the Kickstarter campaign.

"The whole experience has been quite humbling," said Brad McQuaid, Chief Creative Officer for Visionary Realms, Inc. "People have been coming forward from everywhere offering whatever help they can, even beyond the Kickstarter pledging. We've received offers from professionals inside the industry and outside for services running the entire gamut from graphic design to legal services, to game engine sourcing and beyond. I think we've really touched on something big here--something that people really want to see happen."

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is a classic take on epic adventure, which targets a more socially-driven and challenge-seeking audience. The game will require friendships and allies to be forged in order to experience most of the game's content, which is a different direction from most modern MMO games which offer a large amount of single-player content. The player's reputation is going to be their biggest asset in the game.

As the Kickstarter campaign enters into its last week of crowdfunding the team at VRI continue to stay positive about reaching the $800k goal.

"It's a lot of money in a short period of time," McQuaid continued. "But if the support up until now has been any indication of the passion out there for this idea, I would not at all be surprised to see those numbers rocket up again this week. We've learned that you never know what's going to happen from day to day on a Kickstarter campaign."

The Kickstarter campaign runs until this Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:40am Pacific Standard Time, after which Visionary Realms, Inc. will continue crowdfunding through its own website and explore additional funding opportunities.

The team will also be streaming another live game development session on Twitch.tv today at 4pm PST on The Rob and Dan Show where they will also be talking with viewers directly about the current funding levels and the plans for post-Kickstarter.
