The first confirmed speakers at this year’s Quo Vadis conference are Chris Taylor (Wargaming.net), Guido Henkel (G3 Studios) and Don Daglow. At the same time, the Call for Participation has been extended until January 26. Proposals for workshops, discussion rounds and presentations can be submitted on www.qvconf.com/callforparticipation. Quo Vadis is the centerpiece of the INTERNATIONAL GAMES WEEK BERLIN 2014. Tickets for the developers’ conference, which takes place in Berlin from 8 to 10 April 2014, are available through www.die-entwicklerkonferenz.de/en/tickets.
Chris Taylor is the creator of such real-time strategy and role-playing favorites as “Total Annihilation” and “Dungeon Siege”. In 2013, Taylor’s company Gas Powered Games was taken over by free-to-play giant, Wargaming.net. Guido Henkel is a game designer and fantasy author who has enjoyed great success with role-playing games in the popular “The Dark Eye” universe. His latest endeavor saw him using Kickstarter to raise money for a new role-playing project. As lead developer, Don Daglow has been a driving force in various game projects including “Neverwinter Nights” and “Stronghold”. Outspoken and opinionated, Daglow is a welcome guest at game developer conferences.
Quo Vadis organizer, Stephan Reichart: “With Chris Taylor, Guido Henkel and Don Daglow, we are happy to announce the inclusion of the first industry heavyweights in the Quo Vadis event schedule. All three have been involved in many gaming classics and remain at the forefront of game development trends to this day. The extension of our Call for Participation gives other game developers and experts an opportunity to share the stage with these games industry legends.”
Quo Vadis is one of the top three European games industry conventions.
