|Introduction|
--------------
Well, I cannot say that I like playing as Juli as much as I do Fei Long, but
out of the female characters on the game, she is my first choice. Not really a
character for beginners, her moves take more skill and tactics, because they
aren't quite as powerful as maybe an Akuma or a Ryu. In regard to sending me
questions and stuff, feel free, especially if you have a contribution you would
like to add in to the FAQ, because I can always use the help and time :)

-CJayC: The sole owner and webmaster of Gamefaqs.com, he is excellent
at what he does. He even finds the time to write a few of the
better FAQ's at GameFaqs.com, particularly in my opinion, his
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure FAQ/Movelist.

-Dan Mason: We are always playing games together,so naturally we each
learn from each other. He helps with some stuff, and is a
great player himself, particularly Mario Kart 64.

-DJellybean: A great writer, and an even better friend. As I have said before
he
is always willing to answer a question. He also just happens to be
the most prolific contributor at GameFAQs ever, so he's a pretty
good guy to have around to answer questions.
* Plus, I used his biography information on Juli, so thanks again
Dingo, you are truly an asset to us all, also an insperation.*

-Mike Mason: Don't quite play as much as we used to, because he is at
work most of the time, but when we do, he is pretty good
at wrestling games, and as is Daniel, he is always ready
for one last game.

-Myself: I Don't deserve to much credit, I only typed up the document.
A lot more people deserve more credit than I do, but you can
Still feel sorry for me, for playing a game for 5 hours when
I could have been doing something constructive.

I guess I should start off by saying why Fei Long is my favorite
Character out of the entire bunch. It is mostly because of his -
Resemblence to the late Bruce Lee [1940-1973]. Basically the two
Are the same, except for the fact that they have different names
But they dress the same, and it looks to me that they use about-
The same type of martial arts style. Now on to the FAQ.-Gamer003

Ism Guide:
---------
The Ism are selected at the character selection screen.

A-Ism: The super combos in this mode are judged on a scale of 3 levels, light,
medium and heavy, the higher up you go the more powerful. The button you use
which corresponds to the name of the scale level determines how powerful the
Move you perform will be.

V-Ism: - Only Ism that Custom Combos are available in.

X-Ism: A super combo may only be performed when the super combo gauge is full,
and then after the move is performed your gauge will be completely empty.
-
Combo Section:
-------------
Custom Combo - This is my favorite kind of combo, which can be done in V-Ism.
Once your gauge is up to 50% or higher you can just push all of the punch/kick
buttons and simultaneously perform combos, and this tight shadow thing follows
the player like they're moving so fast all you can see is an after image.

Super Combo - Super combos are simply a larger and more powerful move, usually
a chain of moves done continuously. Some of these moves can be devastatingly
powerful. On your screen there is a super combo gauge and when its full you may
perform them. The gauge is filled when you perform moves on your opponent.

=Strategy Guide=
================

- Against Adon
Well for starters, you are much faster than Adon, although his moves might be a
little more powerful. Wait for him to come to you, and then when he does, sweep
kick his legs out from under him, and then hit him with a special move. Do not
attempt to switch sides just yet, because sometimes he gets up a little faster,
and he can be very odd on his timing. Once you are built up enough for a super
combo, no matter which you use, just make sure you lead into it with another
move. Try a high kick and get him off balance, then let him have it. Otherwise
it may get blocked and then you would lose the effect, as well as the time
factor you could have been awarded for if you were in world tour mode.

- Against Akuma
Well Akuma is a pretty good all around fighter, but so are you. I would not
just run at him head on, because he is sort of insane in my opinion. Ease
towards him, if he hasn't already come at you already, and sweep him, just to
get a little edge at the beginning of the match, when I play him he usually
goes to the air, so he won't be expecting this. Now, you have to be ready to
block his fireball attack, which he does use frequently against me, so just
stay alert. Now, you do not, I repeat you do not want to try to do a super
combo without leading into it, or he will just block it, or hit you while you
are putting in the command. Try a jump kick, then give him the big time super
combo, then just where the rest of his power down to nothing.

- Against Balrog
Well, you certainly have the speed advantage when you fight Balrog. Although is
punches can be pretty strong, because after all he is a boxer. When the match
starts, go right after him, and just trap him in a corner and do some mid
lengthy combos, just to keep him trapped, I have ended matches with him never
even getting out of the corner. Then knock him down and go right into your
super combo, if all of this doesn't beat him, just use a super move or two, and
the big guy will fall. A warning, if he does happen to catch you with a big
punch, immediately block, or he is gonna knock your head off, because then he
won't back off. His kicks aren't really much to worry about, but be careful.

- Against Birdie
Well, aside from being very odd looking, with a strange resemblance to
Sylvester Stallone, he is not really very hard to beat. He is much bigger than
you, and has surprising speed for his weight. This being said, don't go right
after him, but let him come to you. When I fight him, he usually tries a big
punch, that you will be able to telegraph and block quite simply. Now, he has
shifted his weight trying to punch you, so now its time for a super move. He
should take the full force of it, because he will be out of position to block
well. Use your super combos as you get them, and always keep an eye on your
meter, cause one of them may just save you. I would not be overly worried about
him using a super combo, if he does just block it, you should have at least 80%
of your health, so its ok. And watch out for that biting thing, ouch!

- Against Bison
Well, in the story you are Bisons subordinate, so this is kind off odd, but
rather fun beating his sorry butt up. I don't know what is so good about him,
he can be easily defeated by Juli, you just have to have a little strategy. At
the start of the match, immediately pounce in him, never letting him get a shot
in, do this until your super combo meter is full at 100%. Now, don't use the
combo just yet, because you want a super combo finish. If you trapped him he
probably lost about 30% of his health. Now use a special move, and as it hits
him get into position to attack with a rising jump kick. Ok, yes now you can
hit him with the combo, and then laugh at him, because you just beat your
commander.

- Against Blanka
This guy is probably the hardest fighter for this specific character to have to
fight. He is basically your exact opposite in every way possible. He has a low,
wrestler type stance, you have a higher Tae Kwon Do type stance, and you rely
more on your kicks than your super moves, and special abilities. His shocking
moves will be your biggest threat, but you can't just wait for him to come to
you either. So I will say this, approach him aggressively, but cautiously at
the beginning of the match. Try to trap him in a corner and hit on him for a
while, but don't stay to long, or he'll give you some voltage. When he rolls at
you, jump over him and kick him in the back. You are going to have to use your
super combos as soon as you get them, and then charge them back up quickly,
because you want this match over as soon as possible.

- Against Cammy
Cammy, an arch nemesis of yours, well not really, but she is apart of your
mission for Bison. You and her are very similar fighters, except Cammy chooses
a little bit more revealing attire. She also uses her punches a little more
than the average female character on the game, who usually resort to kicks
first. At the beginning, just pounce on her, cause you want this over with
quick. Try to get her into the corner and just pound on her, because she isn't
especially strong in the air, so she won't usually jump back over you. Keep
hitting her with the same super moves, and just keep in close and always be
moving. The most dangerous thing for you when fighting anyone is to stop
moving, because then you are most succeptable to be attacked.

- Against Charlie
Well Charlie is actually one of the few who are about the same strengths as
you, so you must approach him carefully. He is kind of a quiet, but deadly when
he needs to, sort of like Hayato from Flying Dragon. He has weak combs in my
opinion, but don't let your blocking guard down. Eventually you will get the
auto, but until then you have to be ready. Do not go right at him in the
beginning, he is actually better in close quarters than he is when you feint
and then move in for selected strikes. Charlie is not easily pinned into a
corner, because he will do what it takes to get out, so don't make the same
mistake I did. Use your combos as soon as you get them, the longer this match
continues, the more dangerous he will become, because he seems to become more
aggressive as the match goes on.

- Against Cody
Everyone tells me that they think Cody is such a great character, but playing
as Juli, I did not see what was so strong and flashy about him. He seems to be
pretty repetative, but he does have above average strength super combos. And
what is up with the cuffs? Can't he take them off to fight. But anyways, when
the match starts, charge at him, before he knows what is happening, this means
doing your jump kick special right at the beginning. Not having a super move
that shoots such as the Hadouken is a weakness, but it can be easily made up
for. Cody is kinda slow, so sweep him, and switch sides, because he will be
vulnerable on the other side. Once you have your super combo ready, and you are
100% sure you can do it on the first try, because that is imperative. Get him
in the corner, sweep him, and when he is half way back up, let him have it.

- Against Chun-Li
The queen of all street fighter games is about to be dethroned, it will not be
easy, but you are going to do it regardless. She is one of the toughest fights
you'll have, especially in survival mode, because their will be 2 of her! Like
one wasn't enough. At the beginning of the match, make her come to you, and
believe me she will. Then she will likely do a jump kick, or her special
tornado kick thing, whatever she does block, but not retaliate until she has
landed again, and as her feet hit the ground, sweep her. Then, as she tries to
get up give her the super combo, the strongest one obviously. Once this has
been done successfully, she will have lost quite some of her health, so then
you are just going to have to where her down until the end, except it just
isn't as easy.

- Against Dan
Dan is another one who is annoying because he uses the same move over and over
again. That kick is so dumb, and if he gets you caught in the corner he is
gonna do it over and over again. So, from the beginning make an effort to stay
in the middle of the stage, so that he cannot do this. Now that you have cut
down part of his more powerful moves, just judge when to use your specials an
super combos, swapping them off, but make sure you do it in even intervals, it
just seems more organized, so you will get rid of him faster. Dan is not
exactly a tough guy, but he will put up somewhat of a struggle towards the end
of the battle, trying to make a comeback, but you should not have a very big
problem stopping this from happening. Although look out for his super combos.

- Against Dee Jay
DJ is a lot like Balrog, except he is a little slower, but he is also a little
stronger. You are going to want to stay at mid range when you are fighting with
him, because he can throw a pretty mean jab and hook. Now, when the match
starts, like most boxers, he will come after you, so just wait for him. Now,
once he gets to you, odds are he is gonna throw a punch, so be ready to block
if you don't have the auto yet. Then sweep him and take him off his feet. Since
he relies on his arms a lot more than his legs he will not be super sonic
speedy getting back up, so you will have 2 options. One, you can either switch
sides and give a pretty savage kick in the back, followed by a super move as he
turns around. Or you can allow him to get back and go for the super combo right
then and there, but I warn you, if you choose option 2, you have a couple
seconds to get that move command in, or you are gonna have a rock hard fist
pounding on your face. Then, just go with the flow of the match, and try to
beat him up.

- Against Dhalsim
Well normally against a guy who can spit fire, I would tell you to keep your
distance, but then when that same guy can also extend his arms, this is getting
kind of rediculous. Now, at the beginning go in and use a super combo right
away before he has a chance to really do much. Now, after that, back off again,
and then be ready to block his stupid 9 foot arms and legs...lol. Ok, you
should have some pretty good damage on him already from the combo, now you are
going to do the same thing, except this time your element of surprise is gone,
so you are going to have to use a lea din, or basically, just do something to
get him off balance or get his head cocked back ,or daze him even better. Then
use the combo and back off immediately to see what he is gonna do. He will use
his yoga fireball frequently so be ready to do what you have to, to avoid it.
That is pretty much all you can do, besides watch your self.

- Against Gen
The old man still has a few tricks left in the bag, that's for sure. This guy
is another very dangerous opponent, almost to the extremity as Blanka, but not
quite. The ability to switch between forms will give him an extra little edge,
because as soon as you get used to one, he will switch to the other. So, never
assume what he is going to do. Just go with the flow of the fight, and you will
not be punished by making incorrect guesses. Try to keep out of direct close
quarters fighting with him, because he blocks like everything. So, Sweep him,
and then give him the jump kick special as he gets up, then give him your best
combo, and it better be quick or he will simply block it, and you get the
pleasure of trying to build your meter back up against a Kung Fu master.

- Against Guy
Guy is kind of an odd character, much like Charlie. You are very equal, so the
outcome is going to depend on how good a tacticioner you are. Go after him from
the start, because he isn't as aggressive as a lot of the other characters are,
like say Sagat for instance. So, go after him and try to get him trapped in a
corner, where you can then pound on him until he is down to about half health.
If he does manage to break your strong hold, try to keep moving, because he
does have some pretty good damaging moves if you give him enough time to apply
them. That is his one weakness, so you should exploit it as much as possible.
You are a lot faster than him, so he shouldn't touch you really, and if he does
you need to have the reaction time to block it by now, or you may want to go
into the training mode and check out some of the basic skills.

- Against Honda
Well, can anyone else say unfair size difference? But I bet you didn't think I
would say it was in your favor did you? Yes, Honda is one big man, but he is
slow and not all that brilliant if you know what I mean. He is a sumo wrestler,
and lots of his moves, like Blankas, depend on him being closer to you than
most of the other characters special moves do. So, you need to be keeping your
distance the whole time, and never stop moving. If you keep up the pace he
shouldn't catch you, but if he ever does, he is a lot stronger than you are.
And you basically know what that means, ouch a lot for Juli. But, luckily Honda
has very short stubby and slow legs, so if you trip him, or sweeping him would
be even better. You should have more than enough time to switch sides on him,
and then the rest of how you finish him is all up to you.

- Against Juni
Identicle in almost every aspect of fighting, except for their moves, but all
of their stats are basically the same. She actually has the edge, whether you
choose to take it back will actually depend on your actual ability for the
first time, a mere trick will not gain it back this time. Her ability to use
super invisible speed, or to teleport, is an enormous advantage. She could
easily go in circles around you before you could even see her. So, from the
beginning, you are going to have to start out with a super combo, before she
starts zooming around. Now, you should be able to take her down to half way on
her health meter, and then stay low, and close, and take away her ability to
move across the floor extremely fast. Now, use your smaller combos and even a
few special moves, but do not back away, cause that is when she starts to do
that fast junk.

- Against Karin
Karin isn't really a huge threat, but if you stop paying attention she is gonna
knock the crap out of you. She is much more a tomboy than you, but her
agression level seems to very from match to match. At the beginning of the
match, go right after her, and don't give her any lean way. Now, if you should
happen to go for the super combo early, do not mess this is up, because once
she gets the momentum, she will beat you to a pulp. She is a streaky fighter
and you need to watch out for her combos. You should have time to do all of
your moves, with the exception of maybe one of the super combos, because she
doesn't have super speed.

- Against Ken
Ken, has remained as one of the best characters in all of the Street Fighter
games, and I am not really sure why. But, enough of my opinion, now once the
match begins he isn't really aggressive as in Zangief aggressive, more like the
level of a Cody for Charlie, he will come after you just not immediately. DO
not try to pin him in the corner, because that will be extremely difficult,
because he is a pretty strong guy. Should he happen to use his super combo,
just do you best to block it, cause there really isn't anything you can do
about it. Now, wait until his power is down to about half, then start to use
your super combos, but make sure you use a lead in so he doesn't immediately
block it.

- Against Rolento
I am not all that familiar with Rolento, but I do know enough to tell you that
you should not have that much of a problem with him. To beat him it will not
take a lot of strategy, just a game of cat and mouse. Don't go right after him
head on when the match begins, let him come to you, and then sweep him then
switch sides, and continue on doing this until he makes you stop. Then whenever
he comes after you on the ground go to the air. And if he comes after you in
the air, go low and get out of the way, or go up head to head with him, but do
a stronger kick. He isn't very fast, that's why you can do all this, but he is
a pretty strong guy, so you kind of don't want him just beating on you. Do not
go right into close quarters with him, inside he fights like a marine, and
that's pretty tough, so just pick your strikes and make sure you execute them
well.

- Against Rose
Rose is another one kind of like Cammy. She isn't really all that powerful, but
she can pack a whallop when she has too, especially in very desperate
situations. At the beginning of the match and throughout the entire fight, you
are going to need to just keep moving. Do not let her just do a super combo,
because a couple of her can be very powerful, and you need to be ready to block
anything, especially when you fight her. If she does hit you with a super combo
very early, you are going to have to rebound fast, so that you can get the pace
of the match back up. The CPU doesn't really seem to do well against you if you
are constantly moving, so it would be a good idea to keep switching sides after
sweeps, and to always trip or sweep her when she is in a combo.

- Against Ryu
Ryu the crème of the crop, well he actually isn't that hard to beat if you jus
don't give him any slack. Whenever someone has to play Ryu, they're response is
always " Oh man, I can't beat him..." when in fact it actually isn't that hard.
So first, you are going to have to believe you can beat him, or it doesn't even
matter if you don't try. Now, at the beginning of the match, go right after him
with a mid length kick and punch combo, don't go super until later in the
match. Now, when he starts to fight back make sure you keep moving around when
you block, to beat him you are going to really have to keep up the pace. If he
goes for one of his big moves, avoid it at all costs, and even if he does hit
you, don't get all worried, you can still beat him.

- Against R. Mika
Mika his another one like Vega, she is either super easy or pretty difficult.
She does a super move that involves and image of a wrestling wring, because she
is a wrestler after all. Now at the beginning of the match, let her come to
you, and immediately hit her with a super combo, doing one at this stage in the
match, being so early it will surprise her and most likely she won't block it.
That should do some pretty good damage, and then just wear her down with your
super moves, but when you get in close be careful, because that is when she
grabs you to do that wrestling ring bulldog thing. If she hits you with a super
combo early, don't get worried, she is a streaky fighter, and that was likely
the end of her high streak, at least for now.

- Against Sagat
Sagat isn't really like the other boxers on the game, for one, he is not as
dependant on his legs as the others are, and he has better super combos. Ok, at
the beginning if the match is can either pay off as a smart move to go right
after him, or it can be incredibly stupid. Sagat is a very strong and big guy,
but hes about as smart as an ox. So when the match starts, try to purposely
avoid him, just to make him after to do more, then when he doe sget near, you
sweep him, and hten switch sides. He isn't that fast so you shouldn't have to
much trouble getting to the other side quickly. DO not try to hang with im in
close quarters, you don't have the strength behind your punches, and he is a
pretty good blocker, so a lot of your kicks won't get through.

- Against Sakura
Sakura is an average female fighter, very comparable to Karin in my opinion.
She isn't really a super combo threat, because you should be able to get rid of
her very quickly. Use your special move right when the match starts, and hten
when she is down het ready to do a super combo. The longer this match goes the
more likely you are to make a mistake, so we are gonna end it quick. Now, once
you have hit with those 2 moves, use your other mid combos to keep her stuck in
the corner and throw in the occassional kick, but be watchful of her combo
meter, and be ready to block if it does get all the way built up to full.

- Against Sodom
Sodom is like Vega, his punches are sort of better than regular ones because he
has daggers, not like Vega's wolverine claws. He is kind of slow, but then on
the other hand I have seen him use some pretty strenuous paces. At the
beginning of the match go after him and try to get him off his feet, because he
is dependant on his punches, and his legs ar ehis weak point. His super combos
are a little weaker than Vega's but do not under estimate him, treat him like
you are playing Blanka or Gen. Another common mistake made against Sodom is
people thinking that they can just avoid him the whole match after they run his
meter down lower than theirs and win by decision, believe me, he will catch
you, so don't do that.

- Against T. Hawk
Hawk is like a smaller version of Zangief, although he is a pretty big guy. He
is a very nice guy, but he has been forced to fight, kind of like Dhalsim. I
would not udner estimate him, but doesn't exactly pose all that much of a
threat if you treat him like you do Zangief, just keep in mind he is a little
slower.
V-Ism is at a disadvantage because he usually does block and hit while you try
to do a super combo, and you can get knocked out of the combo mode if he
touched you. Now, if you are in A-ism, make sure you can do the move before you
go sotrimg in after him, that is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen.
Someone comes rushing in who has never even practiced the move, and then they
cannot figure out why they got nailed.

- Against Vega
Vega is an odd character, sometimes he is really hard, and then sometimes he
stinks, but we are going to do a strategy assuming he is at the top of his
game. At the beginning of the match watch out for his punches, he does have on
those wolverine blades, but also remember they can be knocked off. If you do
happen to knock them off, try not to let him get them back, but if he does its
no big deal. Now try to use your combos as they come and make sure you don't
just waste them, like doing them in the opposite direction he is in. I have
noticed that alot of people are so worried about getting it in they don't see
what they're doing. Vega has some pretty cool super combos, and I don't think
you want him testing them on you, so be careful.

- Against Zangief
This fight is a lot like the one with Honda, except you have an even bigger
size disadvantage, and your speed advantage has been cut down a bit. He is a
big strong and relatively quick fighter, and if you make a mistake he is gonna
pound it out of you. Go directly at him head on when the match starts, and try
to trip him. You are going to need to take some cheap shots and tricks to get
this one done. Now, once he is tripped you are going to switch sides and sweep
him again, just keep alternating sides and sweeping for as long as you can, but
eventually he will block it. Now, you should have a full meter by now, so pull
a lead in move, preferably a kick to the head, and then let it all ride out
with a super combo of your choice. If he should happen to block it, and you are
using V-Ism, you are in trouble. If you are in A or X, just try to get your
meter back up as fast as you can. V-Ism is at a disadvantage because he usually
does block and hit while you try to do a super combo, and you can get knocked
out of the combo mode if he touched you while you are doing it so be careful.

This section is under heavy construction, I will be adding a few new strategies
everyday, so please don't email me asking wheh am I going to get so and so's
