In "The Art of Expeditions: Samurai" gewährt das erfahrene Team hinter den von Kritikern gefeierten Titeln Expeditions: Conquistador, Expeditions: Viking und Expeditions: Rome einen Blick hinter die Kulissen der künstlerischen Vision und visuellen Entwicklung seines kommenden historischen Rollenspiels.

Creative Director Jonas Wæver spricht darüber, wie sich das Team von Japan und traditioneller japanischer Kunst inspirieren ließ, um die visuelle Identität des Spiels zu erschaffen. Das Video zeigt außerdem Concept Art, die Charakteranpassung sowie die laufenden Arbeiten des Teams, die Grafik mit der Unreal Engine 5 weiter zu verfeinern.
Darüber hinaus verrät das Developer Diary weitere Details: Erstmals in einem Expeditions-Spiel werden Spielerinnen und Spieler ihren vollständig angepassten Charakter auch während Dialogsequenzen sehen. Begleiter verfügen zudem über dynamische Gesichtsausdrücke, die ihre Stimmung und ihre Beziehung zur Spielfigur widerspiegeln.
