| The Duality and Reality of Koshmar: The Last Reverie Assuming the role of Violet, a teenager in a bleak, colourless world, players explore her unique ability to lucid dream to escape her reality and inhabit other's nightmares. How the player progresses through Violet's physical world, exploring new places and meeting new characters, or approaches the nightmarish realms of those affected by the sleeping plague, will have impacts on how she perceives, and is perceived by the world in return. For instance, utilizing Dream or Nightmare weapon styles will unlock resources that amplify dream-like delusions, or invite maddening mentality when Violet returns to the real world. Depending on how deeply she dives into these "Delusion" or "Madness" states affects her appearance, and how the world presents to her.
